Chapter 7 - Ch.7 Hero Party

After reaching the two-ring mage rank, she can make money faster, and with resources propelling her talent, she can reach three-ring mage in less than a year.

As for why she and all those talented people want to join the Hero's party, well, it's because of the fact that as long as their Hero Luck doesn't collapse, they can at least become an S-rank adventurer party.

S rank, something none in her family had even managed to reach, a rank that doesn't even exist in this continent.

This continent, which consists of thousands of kingdoms and tens of empires, has the strongest-ranked adventurer party, which is an A+ rank one.

Even when looking at the entire world, they are considered the third-highest-ranking powerhouses with enough strength to build an empire that would last for tens of thousands of years.

"I would like to understand the situation of the intelligent monsters in the forest."

She said, although monetary help can ruin one's hero luck, getting information isn't counted as help.

"Understood."

He said, as he handed her a set of files, he had already prepared it, after all, in just these ten days, including Marina, three members of the reserve Hero party had asked for this information.

Taking the information, she started to read through it. The more she read, the worse her expression became.

The situation of the intelligent monsters wasn't just happening in the four forests at the base of the Silver Peak Mountain, but also in other monster-infested areas of this kingdom and perhaps even beyond.

This is anything but good information for humans, especially since a Hero was about to rise up. One couldn't help but wonder if this was some kind of conspiracy.

What she could think of was certainly thought of by the higher-ups; this is also the reason why some surface-level information about intelligent monsters was being spread.

They wanted the low-level adventurers to check the situation; in other words, they wanted free cannon fodder.

"Thank you for the information."

Marina said, giving a short bow. Since she had grown up earning her own money, she didn't have any innate arrogance typical of a Royal Family.

Plus, the fact that the Sky River Kingdom, which she belongs to, is two kingdoms away from the one she currently is in.

"It's ok. The situation is uncertain now. Please try to save your life when necessary."

The guild leader gave his advice as Marina walked out of the room. After all, even if she didn't become a member of the hero party, she could at least reach the rank of a Seven-ringed mage(B) by virtue of her talent alone.

Three cities away from the Adventurer town, a barony rested among the cornfields, and a castle was built on top of a hill, overlooking the surrounding city.

The flag of the Bronze family fluttered atop the castle. In one of the luxurious studies, a middle-aged man was looking through the annual income of the barony.

This middle-aged man was the second son of the baron and one of the contenders for the throne.

"My Lord, may I come in?"

"Come in."

A voice called out as he gave his permission, a man dressed in silver and bronze knight armor walked in as he knelt down in front of him. This man was one of the three captains of the True Knight rank(F) controlled by his family.

"Sir, the Seventh child's death is confirmed."

Hearing his words, he raised his eyes, took out a file from his drawer, and burnt it, not even leaving ashes behind.

"Useless piece of shit."

He muttered to himself, his youngest brother was a chess piece he left outside; he was the one who helped inflate his ego and allowed him to escape.

He wanted to create a second guard core outside, using him as the cover and dealing with his fourth brother. After all, only his fourth brother can be considered a contender for the throne at this point.

"Where?"

"Winding Forest, near the east."

"I see, you are dismissed."

"Sir, do you need us to exact revenge?"

"Unnecessary."

After saying that, the Knight withdrew, and he stood up from his seat as he looked outside toward the bustling city beneath his castle.

He wanted all of this to be his; in fact, his greed was even more than this, but his ability and talent didn't match his ambition.

He is forty years old, just a Two Ringed mage, and at most will reach the ranks of a three-ring mage in the future.

What can be considered as the endpoint for him can be considered as just the beginning for the hero's party. Just this thought made his heart burn with jealousy.

"Are the intelligent monsters you're doing?"

He spoke to himself. What followed was a moment of silence, then his shadow started to wiggle as a mouth formed.

"No, we are looking into it."

The reply came as the shadow returned to normal. Looking at the shadow, his heart hardened. Looking at the city, his heart hardened. He had already chosen this path, and he would follow it to the end.

He refuses to accept his natural limit; if the gods of this world can't grant him what he wants, then he will get it from the hands of evil.

At the peak of Silver Peak Mountain, a rumbling was heard, and a majestic aura spread for a moment before calming down.

From inside the large cave, a figure walked out, its massive body shaking the ground with every step, its silver blue fur glowed with the sunlight as it looked into the distance.

His tiger body stood there in silence as the entire mountain seemed to go quiet a little.

He was the ruler of this mountain peak, the Beast King known as the Wind Chasing Tiger King, a descendant of the Extraordinary Rank beast known as the Storm Ruling Tiger.

Although he was in seclusion, he had learnt of the situation of the newly rising intelligent beast being born. Such a situation is truly strange, be it natural or artificial; he needs to get to the bottom of it.

"ROARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!( All Beast Lords Gather at the mountain peak.)"

He roared as it spread throughout the thirty thousand meter tall mountain and the four forests surrounding it. With that done, he returned to his cave.
