"What is the meaning of this?!" Hiruzen barked.
The Med-Nin pointed a trembling finger at Ren. "This baby... he was... he was healing him! Look at the monitors!"
The life-sign monitors, which had been flat-lining for weeks, were now pulsing with vigorous health. Minato's color was returning. The dark marks of the seal were gone.
Hiruzen stepped forward, his eyes sharp. He looked at Ren, who was now pretending to be a normal, exhausted baby, fast asleep on Minato's chest.
"An Uchiha baby?" Hiruzen whispered. "This is the one who survived the Nine-Tails' direct shockwave?"
He reached out to pick Ren up, but as he did, his hand brushed against Ren's skin.
