Fate and Crimson Ch29
Arc 2 chapter 29
After everything that happened and the challenges they faced, Alex's party decided to re-establish their party and start from the beginning in order to make a complete party and also form a pact, a promise for the future that might decide their fate and what direction should they take and most importantly how they should view and connect with each other as friends and family.
Alex: from now on as we stand here we're no longer just a party or a group of adventurers, no we're the people who just went through a life and death situation in order to save a friend and not only that we are each other's pillar of strength and not only we are good friends but we're also a family and family is always there for one another and I'll give everything to you guys and in return I only ask you do the same for me. I'll start. I am Alex Ember and I'm a Crimson Fate and I'm the leader and a striker/attacker unit.
Sion: I'm Sion Grey and I'm a Crimson Fate and I'm the Strategist and a battle mage unit.
Rachel: I'm Rachel Vall and I'm a Crimson Fate and I'm the paladin/holy knight unit of the party
Kali: I'm Kali Hopster and I'm a Crimson Fate and I'm the fighter/brawler unit.
Albert: I'm Albert Rhodes and I'm a Crimson Fate and I will be the unknown intelligence member of the unit.
Alex: and with this... We are the Crimson Fate party! And also a family.
Sion: I feel hyped all of a sudden.
Alex: me too!
Kali:....
Rachel: what is it Kali?
Kali: I guess this is my path now.
Rachel: are you having second thoughts?
Kali: what? No way! I'm kinda fired up.
Albert: (hey Lynn, if you were to see the scene in front of me right now, you'd be so proud.)
Kali: I gotta question, why is Albert a secret member?
Sion: Albert or the "Super Punch" is way too famous and that might cause problems.
Kali: I see.
Albert: yeah but was the speech necessary?
Alex: I just felt like it for some reason... But do you guys really wanna make me the leader?
Everyone: yeah!... (to be honest you're the only sane and balanced person of the group) (they, thought bieng ashamed)
What the others assessed was right because of everyone's personalities and their way of thinking was not leader material, like for example: Rachel may be an excellent fighter but she's not good at leading people and always make decisions based on "JUSTICE" which is not useful for leadership, Kali is a good fighter and has talent for water magic but her personality is too...crappy and a shy tsundere and people don't want a rude leader, Sion is smart and dependable and he's a genius with total control of all four basic elements but... He's emotional state is a little bit unstable and very cruel and dark at times and also he's sole mission to protect Alex makes it a problem and finally Albert Rhodes may be a good candidate for leader because of his experience as a former hero but he doesn't have any experience as a leader and his thing for drinking, smoking and sleeping with women makes him less of an option to be a leader. Alex is not perfect either, because of his uncontrollable berserk state and unstable elemental control of his aura and his weird desire for harem and power but he's most normal than the others and his determination to protect his friends and family and make them happy, makes him more of a candidate than the rest and also his kind heart makes him suited for the role.
Now that the pact for Crimson Fate party was complete the party went to Kali's village to pay respects and also for Kali to properly say "good bye" to her parents and the villagers who were a victim of the Sun Spiders.
Kali:.... I'm done.
Alex: you sure? We might not come back here for a while.
Kali: yeah I'm sure.
Albert: then let's hit the road.
Kali: yeah! (then they hit the road and back on track to their way to the elven city)
Albert: hey Sion you got a minute?
Sion:.... Yeah sure.
Alex....?
Albert: about what you did on the storm back then, you know that's kinda messed up right?
Sion: yeah... But he was a Sun Spider.
Albert: I'm not condemning you for killing an enemy, I'm condemning you for sacrificing him, there's a difference.
Sion: difference?
Albert: when you kill a person their soul goes to the Star realm for rebirth, but when you sacrifice a person their soul either stays in that particular sacrificial place forever or gets destroyed.
Sion:....!?
Albert: you finally see the weight of what you did to that Power 4 guy?
Sion:.... Yes and I told myself not to sacrifice anyone from now on during the storm.
Albert: is that so?
Sion: yeah... I don't want Alex to hate me.
Albert: I doubt he'll hate you or anyone at the fact, but I'm glad you get it.
After the this discussion, Albert and Sion went to meet up with the others again and they were once again on their way to the elven City, Lotus city a city of elves, but when they were on their way Sion's and Alex's adventurer's cards started glowing and the giant E on their cards turned to C in a moment and Sion and Alex were stunned.
Alex: what just happened!
Sion: I don't know!
Albert and Rachel: wow congratulations! You just ranked up!
Alex and Sion: what!?
Rachel: you ranked up from E to C leaping over D! And now your battle cards will be updated as well!
Sion: don't we need to take a test to rank up?
Albert: not anymore! Now the cards are installed with an artifact that automatically assesses your abilities and battle power and since it can do that it also automatically updates your battle card as well, but you still need to visit an adventurer's guild to officially become C rank.
Rachel: and now that you're C rank a lot of opportunities will arise for you now like taking on tougher missions or bieng called over by important people or getting sponsored by nobles too for a certain amount of time, and if you rank really high you might get opportunities with royals as well!
Alex: wow! Awesome!
Albert: but be careful though cuz the more you rank up the more envy and enemies you accumulate among some adventurers, but all in all I didn't expect you to jump over D.
Rachel: that's just prove how much potential you guys have!
Alex: geez Rach thanks (big smile)
Albert: well now we really need to reach Lotus city to officially register you guys.
Alex and Sion: Yeah!
Kali:.... Can you guys explain that again please.
Everyone:....
And a long explanation had commenced, while on the other hand Ryan Ember and Sheeva Ember finally made it to Markini and only to be shocked by the news they heard from the mayor and now they were wandering around the streets and getting ready to leave the village.
Ryan: I can't believe we missed them in such a big span of time too!
Sheeva: we can still catch up to them if we head north.
Ryan: how do you know that?
Sheeva: apparently there's a kingdom called Trysad in the north and it's one of the biggest kingdoms in the north. They're bound to stop there from time to time and I heard they have telerportation magic cycles on the north, that will prove useful.
Ryan: (sigh) I guess you're right, then Trysad it is!
Sheeva: you're loud geez.
Ryan and Sheeva now heads north to Trysad in order to increase their scouting range using telerportation cycles to do it and their mission to look for Alex and Sion still continues.
At some a desert somewhere two individuals were making their way across this blazing desert... And Drogo felt like collapsing.
Rox: don't fall on me yet, we're almost there.
Drogo: it's waaaay too hot!
Rox: you will get your water once we reach the Desert Master!
And on another hand a princess was singing and jumping up and down on her bed and none of the knights had much courage to stop.
Knight: what has you so overjoyed princess Elizabeth?! You're causing a racket!
Elizabeth: hehehehe! That's because he's coming soon... The time has come for dear Alex to finally meet me indeed!
Knight: you're the princess of Trysad and they're all the way to almost Lotus city.
Elizabeth: you people forget! Fate is always on my side! On my side indeed!
