Police Commissioner Jim Agard, Officer William, and several other officers arrived at Kate's house. The atmosphere was thick with dread.
"Hello. I am Police Commissioner Jim Agard," he announced firmly. "May I come in, sir?"
"Yes, come in, sir. Please, sit," Lucas replied, gesturing to the living room.
Jim Agard pulled out a notepad. "Can you please state your names for the record?"
"Of course," Lucas said. "I am Lucas. This is my son, Michal, and that is my daughter, Kate. The little girl over there is my youngest daughter, Mrisha. And the boy with Kate is Tadashi—my future son-in-law."
Jim Agard nodded, then his expression sharpened. "Well, I need to understand why this boy, Kem, killed 32 people tonight. And more importantly, why did he attempt to kill you and your son, Michal?"
"Sir, I will tell you everything," Michal interrupted, his voice shaking.
Michal explained the events of the past few hours in detail. He confessed how Kem had been bullied, why he had been pushed to his breaking point, and the confrontation that led to Kem being evicted from the area.
"I see," Jim Agard said, leaning back. "So, the deceased were your friends and their parents. Kem was bullied by you and your friends; he struck back, so you and the other parents threatened him and forced him out of the neighborhood. This all happened just today, and you believe this is the motive for the massacre?"
"Yes," Michal whispered. "It has to be the reason."
"Hmm," Jim Agard muttered. "Let's verify this. William, bring me the report of theof the died people. Michal, tell me the names of your friends and their parents."
Jim Agard let out a long, satisfied sigh. "Michal, I believe everything you've told me is true. Based on this, we can assume Kem will definitely return to finish what he started and kill you both."
"Oh no!" Lucas cried out, his face pale with fear.
Jim Agard looked around the room. "But there's one thing. Who is the superhuman who saved you?"
Tadashi stepped forward, his voice steady despite the tension. "That was me, sir."
Jim Agard's eyes narrowed as he examined the young man. "Tadashi... you are a superhuman. Am I right?"
The Call to Zeolen
Jim Agard immediately called Mr. Zeolen to report the findings. However, Zeolen interrupted him. "I already know that boy used my Ebo insulin to kill those people," Zeolen said grimly.
"Who told you about this?" Agard asked, surprised.
"One of my staff members," Zeolen replied. "She lives in that neighborhood. That monster tried to attack her father and her brother."
Jim Agard paused. "Are you talking about Kate?"
"Yes, I am talking about Kate. How did you know?"
"I'm in her house right now for the investigation," Agard said. "A superhuman saved them and managed to drive Kem back."
"What?" Zeolen sounded thoughtful. "Agard, send me the CCTV footage of that fight immediately."
"Wait, I'll check," Agard replied. He turned to Kate. "Kate, do you have working CCTV in this house?"
"Yes, we do," Kate answered.
"Please send me the footage that captured the fight between Kem and Tadashi. Here is my number."
Kate sent the digital file to Jim, who instantly forwarded it to Zeolen. Zeolen watched the footage in silence for a few moments before calling Jim back. "Jim, what did you say that superhuman's name was?"
"His name is Tadashi."
Zeolen's voice was sharp with a new plan. "Tadashi is the key to capturing Kem. One of my lead scientists told me we can revert Kem back to a normal human by destroying the insulin's power generation within his body. However, that is an incredibly difficult process." Firstly, we have to capture Kem. Unfortunately, we don't have the ability to restrain or hold him, but Tadashi can. He has the power necessary to fight him. We have to hurry because Kem's power is increasing day by day. Tell this to Kate; she will understand. Since her family is under a life threat, we will provide them with full protection. I am sending a FeroraFly to pick them up immediately."

Jim relayed the CEO's message to Kate. She nodded slowly, her face pale but determined. "Our CEO, Mr. Zeolen, spoke with you? I understand. He said he would protect us... okay. I will talk to Tadashi."
Kate walked over to Tadashi, who was staring at his hands in silence.
"Holly sh*t... No, no... NO!" Tadashi let out a heavy sigh, his voice trembling. "I just wanted to be a normal guy, Kate. It's... it's too hard to even express how I feel right now."
Kate placed a hand on his shoulder. "I know, Tadashi. I know you don't like using your powers. But in this situation, we don't just need a 'superman'—we need a true hero. The people of Sendu need a hero. I don't know how many more are going to die because of that monster. You are our only hope. Everyone's life is in your hands."
She looked deep into his eyes. "I know you are still suffering because of that accident in your past. But this is the time to fix it. You are not a monster like Kem. You made a mistake unknowingly when you were just a kid. You didn't intend to hurt anyone, and fortunately, no one died because of you. Yet, you're still blaming yourself, suffering for no reason. Forget the past, Tadashi. It was an accident."
She smiled through her tears. "You are a hero. A true hero. I used to say I didn't like superhumans... but actually, the person I love most in my entire life is a superhuman. I love him so much. So... you see? I actually do like superhumans." Tadashi smiled at Kate, the weight of a decade of guilt finally lifting from his shoulders. "I love you too. I'm in... I will help catch Kem." Kate didn't say a word; she simply pulled him into a tight, relieved hug.
Tadashi turned to Commissioner Agard. "Sir, I'm ready. I will help you stop him."
Jim Agard smiled, clapping a hand on Tadashi's shoulder. "Great decision, buddy. You're performing a vital public service. You're going to save a lot of people from that monster."
"I know," Tadashi replied, his voice firm.
Before leaving, Tadashi pulled out his BOFL and called his father, Nimrow. He quickly explained everything—the insulin, Kem, and his decision to stop hiding. "Dad, please stay safe," Tadashi urged.
Nimrow's voice was calm and proud. "Don't worry about me, son. I told you this day would come—the day you would use your gift for the greater good. I am a superhuman too, remember? Even if I'm not as strong as you, no one can easily hurt your old man. Go. Do what you have to do."
Just then, a FeroraFly descended from the Ferora, its engines humming as it landed in the road directly in front of Kate's house.
Jim Agard, William, and Lucas boarded first. Kate and Michal followed, shouting back, "Tadashi, come on! We have to move!"
Lucas poked his head out of the hatch. "Tadashi! My future son-in-law! Get in here!"
"Coming!" Tadashi shouted back. "Dad, be safe. I'm hanging up now."
"I will," Nimrow replied. "You be safe too."
"Love you, Dad."
Tadashi ended the call and leaped into the FeroraFly. Within seconds, the futuristic craft surged upward, heading toward the Bright Future Institute.
As they landed at the massive facility, Jim Agard took point. "Let's go, guys. Stay close to me."
