Chapter 20: Acquired! The Unique Orange-Tier Warrior Set, "Evil Moon!"
Coughing up a mouthful of blood, Seito slowly pushed himself up. That single Berserk attack had wiped out three-quarters of his HP in one go.
"That actually hurt," he muttered, rubbing his chest. In Full Realism Mode, the sensation of pain was identical to reality. But strangely, it ignited a long-dormant fire in his veins.

Using Spatial Blink, Seito dove back into the fray. Despite the General's massive buffs to attack and speed, Seito was a master of spatial mechanics. A few minutes of high-intensity kiting later, the Boss was down to its last 3,000 HP.
"Dimensional Slash!!!"
BOOM!!
The health bar hit zero. The General collapsed to its knees, dissolving into shimmering light particles and leaving behind a glowing golden treasure chest. Seito took a deep breath, his body aching, and slowly—deliberately—sheathed his Chokuto.
A light breeze caught his white hair and trench coat. His blue eyes showed signs of fatigue, yet he stood with effortless grace.
Why the dramatics?

"???" Seito froze. Was this because the Boss's speed was almost equal to his own?
Even if it was a one-time calculation based on his current stats, it was incredibly powerful. His base Agility now sat at 1,040.
When accounting for his equipment multipliers, his total speed value rocketed to over 6,000!
Shaking off the shock, he knelt and opened the Boss chest.

Seito stared at the gear, lost in thought. While the raw stats were slightly lower than his specialized White Wolf/Dragon gear, this was top-tier equipment for an Orange set.
Since he was an "Extreme Speed" build, this didn't fit him, nor did it fit Maple's defense-only build.
However, with this set, Seito could manufacture a world-class Warrior in minutes.
I'll ask Sora tomorrow if he wants it, Seito thought. Sora was currently a Gunner, but that was mostly due to his social anxiety. Put him in a set like this, and he could dominate the front lines if he felt like it.
"Well? What did the Boss drop?"
The sound of footsteps approached. Haruno and the other women walked up to him, their faces full of curiosity.
"Same as Floor 6," Seito lied smoothly. He wasn't about to reveal the Unique Solo reward yet. Currently, most players didn't even know soloing bosses gave special loot. He intended to keep that lead as long as possible. Right now, aside from him and Maple, the average "Pro" was still wearing Blue (Rare) gear.
Haruno didn't suspect a thing. "So, shall we head to the Eighth Floor?"
"Sure," Seito nodded.

Floor 7 Labyrinth Entrance.

[Players "Sei," "SunnyCat," "Shizuka-sensei," "Chabashira-sensei," and "Tasty" have cleared the Floor 7 Boss!]
"Holy crap! They actually cleared it?!"
"As expected of the Top player. He's too strong!"
"Damn, those four girls just got a free ride. Their levels are way lower than mine!"
The players outside were already buzzing. While they weren't surprised by Seito's victory, they were green with envy at Haruno's group for "winning the lottery" by being in his party. Now that the floor was open, the crowd began to surge toward the gateway to Floor 8.

Floor 8: The Central Safe Zone.
The atmosphere here was a total departure from the previous floors. A massive, sprawling city stood before them, filled with NPCs in medieval attire. The sheer number of NPCs was staggering—more than the first seven floors combined.
"Hidden quest city," Seito murmured. More NPCs meant more dialogue, which meant more opportunities for rare rewards. This was likely why a full city existed on this floor.
"Hey, kid. It's time to log off," Shizuka said, her hand dropping onto Seito's shoulder.
"Log off? No way," Seito shook his head. He wanted to explore and find materials for his Gold-tier gear. He hadn't even found 10% of what he needed yet.
"Do you not plan on attending school tomorrow?" Shizuka stared him down.
"I'm going," Seito said with a straight face.
"I'll just sleep in class."
He wasn't worried. He'd already self-taught the entire high school curriculum during middle school. He could easily pull a 90 on any exam—except English, but passing was enough for that.
"Fine. I'm not your mother," Shizuka sighed, giving up. She had seen his entrance exam scores. As long as he aced the first monthly mock exam, she could look the other way regarding his "in-class naps."
