Chapter 25 - Taming Livestock, Whispers of the Captives

"Yes!"

Kayla responded loudly.

Wu Liang nodded, very satisfied with her attitude.

He lightly tapped Kayla's forehead with his finger, and a stream of information instantly flooded into her mind.

It contained various techniques and knowledge for making traps and lassos, as well as driving and rounding up large animals.

Kayla felt her head buzz as countless novel and practical insights filled her thoughts.

She was first stunned, then ecstatic.

"This... this is magic..."

Wu Liang withdrew his finger and spoke indifferently.

"Use these methods to complete the task I've given you."

"We need a large amount of livestock, the more the better."

"Yes!"

Kayla shouted excitedly. After bowing solemnly to Wu Liang, she turned to select her personnel.

Watching Kayla's departing figure, Wu Liang turned back to Eliza.

"Eliza, I also need you to do something."

Eliza's heart fluttered; he needed her.

Her pretty face looked toward Wu Liang expectantly.

"Wu Liang, tell me, what do you need me to do?"

Wu Liang reached out his finger again, this time tapping Eliza's smooth forehead.

Unlike the hunting techniques given to Kayla, what flooded into Eliza's mind was more systematic knowledge: Basic Animal Husbandry.

Building sturdy and ventilated pens, identifying the habits of different livestock.

Formulating fodder to calm them quickly, basic treatment for common diseases, and guiding them through breeding... The massive amount of information led Eliza to greedily absorb this unprecedented knowledge.

"From today on, you will be in charge of the Tribe's animal husbandry."

Wu Liang continued:

"The beasts Kayla captures will all be handed over to you."

"I need you to turn them from wild beasts into docile livestock."

"Let them provide us with meat and milk, and let these animals contribute everything to the construction of our Tribe!"

Eliza's eyes sparkled, brighter than ever before.

She looked at Wu Liang; this man entrusting her with such an important matter showed his immense trust and expectations for her.

"Don't worry, Wu Liang, I will definitely work hard and do a good job!"

Eliza nodded heavily, her gaze firm.

Wu Liang smiled with satisfaction.

Soon, Kayla led fifty of the strongest Female Warriors into the mountains and forests, carrying ropes and iron trap components.

With the capturing knowledge bestowed by Wu Liang, Kayla was full of confidence in this mission.

Meanwhile, Eliza took the other women of the Tribe and all the Bloodfang Tribe captives to a large open space on the outskirts of the Tribe and began directing the construction of pens.

Following the knowledge Wu Liang had imparted, she planned out different areas to pen cattle, sheep, and horses separately.

At the same time, she taught everyone how to dig deep pits, bury wooden stakes, and use tough vines to bind the fences securely.

The mindsets of those Bloodfang Tribe captives were undergoing subtle changes, and their thoughts of resistance were gradually fading.

They didn't dare to disobey Eliza's orders in the slightest, working even harder than the women of the Black Rock Tribe.

At dusk, Kayla's team returned.

Accompanying them was a massive commotion and a trail of dust.

Dozens of panicked wild oxen and over a hundred wild sheep were driven back by the Female Warriors using lassos.

The cries of the cattle and sheep echoed continuously.

These animals were rampaging and full of wildness, nearly breaking through the Female Warriors' encirclement several times.

"Quick! Drive them into the pens!"

Eliza stood at the entrance of the newly built pens, shouting directions.

The captives and the tribal women worked together, trying to lead these irritable beasts into the enclosures.

Just then, an exceptionally sturdy black wild ox suddenly let out an angry roar.

With bloodshot eyes, it suddenly turned around and charged toward the densest part of the crowd.

"Ah! Get out of the way!"

"Danger!"

The crowd instantly fell into chaos as the women fled in terror.

It looked like the Wild Ox King was about to charge into the crowd and cause a stampede.

"Don't move!"

A cold, clear shout rang out.

Everyone was stunned; Eliza had actually stood alone in front of the rampaging ox.

She had no weapon in her hands, only a large bundle of freshly cut grass that emitted a special sweet fragrance.

That bundle of grass had been specifically selected and formulated according to the knowledge Wu Liang had imparted, possessing a natural attraction for such bovines.

The ox pawed the ground angrily, its sharp horns aimed at Eliza as it prepared to launch a lethal charge.

Everyone was so frightened they held their breath.

However, there wasn't a trace of fear on Eliza's face.

She calmly watched the Wild Ox King, suddenly making a low, rhythmic humming sound.

This was also something Wu Liang had taught her—mimicking sounds that cattle used to signal comfort and a lack of threat.

The violent ox actually stopped just a few steps away from Eliza.

Its nostrils huffed continuously, and its blood-red eyes were filled with wariness and confusion.

But the grass in Eliza's hands and the sounds from her mouth made it hesitate.

Eliza was delighted to see her method working.

She slowly held out the bundle of grass in her hands.

The Wild Ox King stared at the enticingly fragrant grass, then looked at Eliza, and hesitantly took a small step forward.

"It really works!"

Eliza's slightly tense mood relaxed, and a joyful smile appeared on her face.

Under everyone's astonished gazes, the ox grew docile and extended its tongue, carefully curling it around the bundle of grass.

The moment the fresh, succulent fodder entered its mouth, the ox relaxed completely.

Seeing this, Eliza continued to hum soothingly while slowly backing away.

Step by step, she led the strong, wild ox toward the sturdy pen prepared for it.

After the ox was subdued, leading the remaining cattle and sheep went even more smoothly, and the Female Warriors drove them into their respective enclosures.

Under the setting sun, Eliza stood before the pens.

Looking at the livestock that had begun to lower their heads to graze on the fodder, a look of relief appeared on her face.

In the following days, the Tribe's crops grew rapidly under Wu Liang's Ripening Magic, changing every day.

In the eastern pens, under Eliza's taming, the captured beasts also began to gradually lose their wildness.

They ate plenty of delicious fodder every day and began to get used to life in captivity.

A few ewes even gave birth to adorable little lambs.

Everyone in the Tribe was busy, but their faces were filled with an unprecedented sense of happiness.

Food, the greatest problem that had plagued their ancestors for generations, seemed to have been completely solved by Wu Liang.

In stark contrast were the captives of the Bloodfang Tribe.

They were still doing the hardest and most exhausting work, but their mindsets were quietly changing.

They began to realize that the strength of the Black Rock Tribe was no accident.

They began to whisper secretly during breaks in their labor.

"Did you see? Those wheat stalks seem to have grown taller again."

"And those sheep, several more lambs were born yesterday..."

"I heard the people of the Black Rock Tribe will be able to drink goat milk every day from now on."

"When... when will we be able to live like this?"

These whispers naturally did not escape Wu Liang's ears.

He knew the time was almost right.

At noon that day, after finishing their morning labor, all the Bloodfang Tribe captives were gathered in the open space at the center of the Tribe.

Wu Liang looked at them calmly.

The captives stirred uneasily, not knowing what this lord was going to do next.

They lowered their heads in awe, not daring to meet his gaze.

"Lift your heads and look at me."
