Chapter 7 - Surprise visit.

Waking up on his bed, Ace looked over to see david on the bed next to him. As he was getting his clothes ready, he looked at ace.

"You owe me big time. I had to run around like and animal then drag you back."

Ace smiled. "And Alex didn't help at all right?

Besides the both of you followed me. You got me in trouble."

David put a hand on his chest. "That doesn't sound like a thank you."

A harsh migraine began to take over as Ace began to aggressively grab his head.

As David saw all this he slightly raised his eyebrows. "That's certainly a way to start the mourning." He walked over and began to hoist Ace up. "Your welcome. Again."

On the way to the nurses office, Ace was having visions of being in pure darkness,

Yet he still felt things watching him. Every so often he would snap back into reality.

Ace was in a worsening condition. Watching him enter and leave consciousness was

Both creepy and worrying. "Should've just dropped him off here in the first place."

As they got to the nursing office, The nurse came to see them. "Hello. I'm miss helen. What Is it your suffering from?"

David did the talking as Ace grabbed his forehead. "Bad headache, he just seems very tired." Helen grabbed an ice pack as David walked over and brought him to a bed.

Ace was put down onto a bed, his visions getting longer and longer. Eventually he is entire consciousness is pulled into this dark void.

For some reason, Ace is in front of a small campfire. It provided enough light for him to see a few feet in front of him, but that was all.

looking around, Ace sees nothing but darkness at first. 'What is this place? More importantly, even though it seems like nothing is here, I can feel something staring at me.'

After looking around a bit more, he heard claws dragging across the floor.

His heartbeat began racing. Even though he had died once, he was not keen on doing so again. He looked to the firewood. It was the only thing he had. He would either have to push the monster in, or have the monster accidentally jump into the fire.

Whatever the case, he wouldn't lose. Ace stood behind the fire where he heard the scratching getting closer. Steeling himself, he looked towards the opponent with a spiteful glare. 'I will achieve victory. Nothing less."

The creature came into the light. It was small but had clawed hands. Weird grey skin. It…it was was fury. He was getting all worked up for fury.

Putting one hand on his forehead and the other on his hip, Ace sighed wondering why He was even so worked up in the first place. "Hi buddy. Haven't seen you since yesterday."

Fury crawled up to him, but as Ace looked at him, he noticed that fury had gotten slightly bigger. It wasn't much but it was noticeable.

Ace squinted his eyes. "you've gotten bigger boy. What do you even eat anyway."

Fury tilted his head at the question. But it made Ace think. "So this is where you get sent off to when you go away."

Eventually, Ace awakens from these visions, his head clear. 'Fury, when we get some time alone, I'm interested in what you can do."

Alex was waiting in class as David walked through the door. "Sorry I'm late, needed to help someone walk to the nurse."

He then moved into Aces seat, seeing as he wouldn't be using it. Alex looked over and asked. "You know what's wrong with him?"

David shrugged. "Migrane it seems. But he'll bounce back like no time."

Alex looks to David with concern. "With you about to fight Nick and Ace in this condition, does this look like a bad omen? I'm a little afraid that one of us might not make it out truth be told."

David looked up before making eye contact with Alex. "My short experience in this life has taught me that life will fuck you over eventually. No ifs ands or buts about it.

However it has also taught me that in order to achieve anything special, you must be willing to lose something of equal importance.

I don't plan on staying here. I would honestly rather die on my own terms than let these people use me for whatever reason.

Whatever the cost I will pay it. I'm leaving. The thought of sacrifice is scary, but everything that has happened was destined to happen.

If I fail I won't be remorseful, for I was against fate itself."

"So you're saying it's best that I just go about life thinking I'll always win?"

"I'm saying that's better than going in and assuming you'll lose yes."

As the lesson went on, Mr Baron noticed that two students were absent. Everyone knew where ace was, but what about the other two?

"Alright class, you know the drill. Combat training begins now."

Alex was going blow for blow with his combat instructor, even pushing him back. His name was Ryan. "Your growth is something I didn't see coming young man." He said grunting with effort.

"You won't be able to soon enough."

Alex was working on building his confidence.

He couldn't stay this meek little baby forever.

If he wanted to leave this place, he had to start acting like it.

after taking another punch to the gut, Ryan shoved Alex away. "That's enough for tonight. Working like this, I'll be forced to retire early. Jeez. Take a break." He was breathing heavily.

Alex looked towards the bathroom. A perfect place to wash his face, clear his head, and get a good look at himself.

Getting inside, he rested against the nearest sink. Splashing water on his face. Taking a look at himself in the mirror, He wasn't dissatisfied per say, but he saw that he could improve. "Still the most handsome man ever."

Confidence step 1: Fake it till you make it.

Alex puffed up his chest as someone was getting out of the stall behind him. He rests on the door.

Then a few others come out. Alex looks back in shock. "Why are 3 people in one stall?"

This happened for the next stall as well, with three people leaving it. For some reason, they didn't seem friendly either.

For the third and final stall, a familiar face appeared. Nick fucking Daniel's.

As he walked out of the stall, a signature arrogant grin plastered onto his face.

"My fault for the surprise visit. I noticed tat were both friends of…David was it? I found it rude not to say hello."
