Chapter 64 - Chapter 66: Clash at Nova High

The hallway of Nova High erupted into chaos.

Kai's red-glowing eyes pierced the air, his body trembling with raw power. Each step he took sent small shockwaves through the tiles, rattling chairs, lockers, and even the ceiling lights. Axel and Leo tried to keep up, moving between students, making sure no one got caught in the destruction.

The five government officers advanced cautiously, each one trained to face the extraordinary—but none had faced someone as unstable as Kai.

"Kai! Stop this now!" Leo shouted, trying to reach him, his voice drowned out by the cracking sounds of the walls and the roar of Kai's anger.

But Kai didn't listen. His fists struck first. One officer lunged with a stun baton—but Kai dodged effortlessly, his speed slightly enhanced by the lingering surge of his powers. He swung back, slamming his palm into the officer's chest, sending him flying several feet into a locker.

Axel jumped in to protect the others, pulling two students out of the hallway. "We've got to stop him before he hurts anyone else!"

Kai spun around, spotting Axel and Leo, and for a split second, his anger faltered. But the sight of the officers advancing reignited it.

"They came for us! For trying to survive!" he shouted, throwing another officer across the hall with a powerful strike. The force shattered a window, rain and wind spilling into the hallway.

The remaining officers raised their weapons, firing non-lethal energy blasts designed to incapacitate. Kai twisted, dodging most of them, but one grazed his shoulder. Pain flared—but it only fueled his fury.

"I said I'm not going down!" he bellowed, smashing a desk against another officer, sending him crashing into the wall.

Axel reached for him. "Kai! You're going to get us all killed!"

Kai's glowing eyes locked on Axel for a brief second. His chest heaved with frustration, fury, and fear. Then he turned back to the officers, fists clenching.

"They want to take me… take us…" he muttered under his breath. "…not happening."

With that, he surged forward like a bullet, striking with a mix of raw power and barely controlled skill. The officers tried to counter, but Kai's anger-driven instincts made him unpredictable, fast, and dangerously strong.

Leo quickly assessed the situation. "Axel! Help me get him out of here before someone really gets hurt!"

Axel nodded, leaping forward, and together they tried to flank Kai, guiding him toward the schoolyard. The officers regrouped, attempting to corner him, but the trio's teamwork slowed the chaos long enough to avoid fatalities.

Still, the destruction was mounting. Lockers smashed, floors cracked, and debris littered the hallway. Students peeked through doorways, frozen in terror and awe.

Kai's breathing was heavy, his vision red, his entire body trembling. Each movement was a mixture of desperation and power.

This wasn't just a fight. It was a statement.

He wasn't just a student. He wasn't just a hero in training.

He was a force to be reckoned with—and anyone who underestimated him would soon learn that the line between survival and chaos was dangerously thin.

As the hallway echoed with the sounds of struggle, one thing was clear: Kai had crossed a point of no return.

The government had come for them.

And Kai wasn't going down without a fight.
