Lin Tian did not open his eyes. The rhythm of his breathing was still there. It was not smooth. It was not complete.. It was no longer collapsing.
He was breathing in and out. The fragments of Chaos Qi had settled inside him. They were not. They were not obedient.. They were quieter now.
The cave was still and silent. The formation was humming faintly. It was unchanging. Su Yan was watching him. Then she said "Stand." The word cut through the silence.
Lin Tian opened his eyes. He did not. He moved. He did it slowly and carefully. His body was resisting him. It was not violent. It was not painful. It was just heavy.
He put one hand on the ground. Pushed. His chest was tight. His breath was almost broken. He stopped.
Then he started breathing.. Out. He. He stood up. He was unsteady. He was upright. Su Yan stepped forward. She was not close. She was not far. She said "Move." That was all she said.
Lin Tian shifted his weight. His stance was adjusting instinctively. He was using the base he had used before. He took a step. Turned. The moment he moved the rhythm broke. His breathing lost its pattern.
The Chaos Qi was stirring unevenly. He felt pain. It was not sharp. It was not explosive.. It was immediate. Lin Tian. There was silence again. Su Yans gaze did not change. She said "Again."
Lin Tian exhaled slowly.. Out. He moved again. He took a step. Turned. This time he was watching. He was not looking at the movement or the result.
He was looking at the break. It happened the moment his weight shifted fast. His breath was lagging behind his body and the Qi was reacting late. It was unstable. He. Understanding came to him.
Su Yan spoke. "Your body is moving ahead." She paused. "Your breath is following." She paused again. "Your Qi is collapsing as it tries to catch up." Each word was settling in. Lin Tian adjusted his breathing.. Out. He took a step.
Turned. He did it slower and more carefully. His breathing was holding on. Barely. The Chaos Qi was moving. It was fragmented. It was not surging.
Then he made a mistake. His foot landed heavily and the impact traveled up his leg and into his core. The Qi. He felt pain. Lin Tians body. He did not stop immediately. He took one step and the collapse deepened.
There was silence. Su Yans voice came. "You ignore the failure." Lin Tian said nothing. "You wait until it becomes damage." Her gaze sharpened slightly. "That is your habit."
Lin Tians fingers tightened slightly. He knew this about himself. He had always known.. Knowing was not the same, as seeing. Now he could see it. Every movement was carrying a cost. Not. Not later. Immediately. He reset his stance.. Out.
This time he reduced everything. The step was smaller. The turn was incomplete. The movement felt lacking and weak.. His breathing was holding on and the Qi was moving. It was faint and scattered. It was stable.
Su Yan watched him. "Again." Lin Tian continued. He took a step. Turned. It was small and controlled and incomplete.. Again. Time. The movements did not improve. They did not become stronger. They became quieter.
There was interference and less collapse. His breathing remained steady.. Out. The Chaos Qi was following. Not. Not smoothly.. It was not breaking.
Then Su Yan moved. She took a step forward and raised her hand. "Stop." Lin Tian froze. She stepped closer. Her gaze was no longer distant. "Your movement is wrong." She corrected herself.
"No. Your foundation is wrong." The words landed heavily. Lin Tian held her gaze. Su Yan continued. "You learned to move for the outcome." She paused. "You never learned to move " Another pause. "So when the outcome fails—" She lifted her hand slightly. "Everything fails."
Lin Tians breathing slowed down. He did not argue. There was nothing to argue about. Su Yan stepped around him. "Move again." Lin Tian turned slightly.. Out.
He took a step. Before he could complete it Su Yan said "Stop." He froze mid-motion. He was unbalanced. His breath caught. "Do not fix it." Her voice cut in. Lin Tian held the position. His body was. His breath was uneven. The Chaos Qi was trembling.
Su Yans voice was quieter now. "Look at it." She said. "Feel where it breaks." Lin Tian focused inward. His weight was far forward. His breath was too shallow. His core was not supporting the movement.
The Qi was trying to bridge gaps that should not exist. It was. Failing. He understood. "Good." Su Yans voice carried a shift. Not approval. Recognition. "Now return." Lin Tian slowly corrected his stance. This time he did not rush it. Each adjustment matched his breath. In. Shift. Out. Settle. The strain. The Qi steadied. It was not perfect. It was not breaking.
He stood still again. Su Yan stepped back. "The shape of your flaws is clear now " she said. A pause. "What you do next decides if they remain." Silence followed. Lin Tian breathed.. Out. For the time he was not trying to improve. He was trying to understand.. That changed everything.
