"It all started like this..." Aladdin began.
He started by explaining how Jafar had knowingly sent guards to capture him. After that, he revealed how Jafar had tricked him into venturing into the Cave of Wonders to retrieve a treasure lamp, but had left him there to die, so he took the lamp with him to perish alongside it.
He told her how he had been saved by Carpet, and later discovered that the treasure Jafar had sent him to retrieve was actually a genie lamp. From how he had been fortunate enough to trick the genie into getting out of the Cave of Wonders, to remembering that Jafar was still alive and plotting in the palace, he decided to use his first wish to become a prince so he could ask for her hand in marriage and save the Kingdom of Agrabah from Jafar's scheming hands as well.
"I think he has grand plans of removing your father from his position and becoming the new Sultan of Agrabah. He also plans on marrying you, which is why he was so opposed to my coming to ask for your hand in marriage."
Aladdin had thought carefully about what to say to Jasmine and, after considering many scenarios, decided to come clean. Because sooner or later, she would encounter Genie. Since he couldn't restrict genie's movements now that he was free, he could only keep him emotionally tethered.
And if Genie found out that he had hidden the truth from Jasmine or lied to her, he would be gravely disappointed in him, and that might even cause a strain in their relationship. Although the Genie's powers could best be described as chaotic magic, he was lawfully good.
And if Jasmine found out the truth later on, or worse, after they had gotten married, it would completely fracture their relationship. So Aladdin saw no need to hide the truth from Jasmine. The more she knew the truth, the better it would be for him, their relationship, and their future together.
Jasmine's eyes widened with a mixture of shock, surprise, and disbelief.
Although she had expected to hear an intriguing explanation for how the Aladdin she knew as a common thief had transformed into a prince, she hadn't expected it to be so full of ups and downs.
Instantly, Jasmine embraced him.
"I'm sorry that you went through all that for me," Jasmine said, weeping profusely. "Jafar... I knew there was something evil about him the moment I laid my eyes on him. But I never knew he would go this far... to use a citizen of Agrabah for his own selfish gains. I need to inform Father about this and make him pay dearly."
Aladdin returned her embrace and nodded.
"I've already thought about everything before returning to the kingdom. Jafar is no longer a threat. In order to prevent this from becoming a diplomatic affair, all I need is permission from the Sultan to sentence him to death for rebellion."
"I understand," Jasmine nodded rapidly, wiping the tears from her eyes as a resolute expression emerged on her face.
"So even after all those crazy adventures, you still had me on your mind?" Jasmine raised her knees and, clutching them close to her chest. She focused her gaze above at the dazzling fireworks in the sky.
"Yes."
"And the genie, what happened to him?"
"I used my third wish to set him free."
"That was incredibly selfless of you," Jasmine said.
"What about your second wish?"
"It's a secret," Aladdin responded.
"Humph! That's really unfair," Jasmine lightly punched him on the shoulder. "But I don't really care about what you wish anyway. Your first wish was to become a prince to rescue me from Jafar and save the kingdom, and your third was to free the genie. Whatever your second wish is, it probably has something to do with protecting yourself and those around you."
Aladdin was stunned. He knew that Jasmine was incredibly intelligent and knew how to use charm to her advantage, unlike other disney princesses, who were either too naive or didn't know their left from right. But he had never expected her to accurately deduce the purpose of his second wish.
Nonetheless, unlike the other disney movies that focused on the Princess's growth, Aladdin was one of the few where the focus was on the man becoming a Prince to get his Princess, making it a unique experience.
"What if I refused your proposal? Would you still decide to help me get rid of Jafar?" Jasmine asked.
Aladdin glanced at her before refocusing his gaze on the sky, "I would."
Jasmine leaned over onto his shoulder. She shifted her gaze to Aladdin and smiled softly.
At that moment, Aladdin was also staring at her.
Without warning, Jasmine leaned in for a kiss.
Aladdin met her lips.
They melted into each other's arms, completely entranced.
Carpet twirled happily in the air behind them, rejoicing at the result of their hard work.
After a while, they both leaned back.
Jasmine buried her head in Aladdin's chest.
Aladdin cradled her in his arms.
"That was amazing."
"Stop it."
Aladdin chuckled, amused by Jasmine's shy attitude.
After watching the fireworks for a little longer, Aladdin and Jasmine climbed back onto Carpet and returned home to Agrabah.
Unbeknownst to them, a woman dressed in a pink traditional Chinese dress, with her hair tied in a bun, stood rooted in place as she watched the flying carpet carrying two passengers take off from the roof of a building and vanish into the sky like a bolt of lightning, under the cover of the countless bright fireworks.
She cleaned her eyes several times to make sure she wasn't imagining things, but she still found herself in the same spot. The image still lingered in her mind.
"I might just be tired. It's best I finish this quickly and get back home first to get some rest," she muttered to herself, gripping the basket held close to her waist with her other arm.
She walked away, catching up with the women dressed just like her in the distance.

After arriving in the Kingdom of Agrabah, Aladdin and Jasmine quickly searched for the Sultan. However, he was nowhere to be seen.
"Genie!" Aladdin quickly called out, knowing that he had a hand in this.
He wasn't worried that the Sultan had already been charmed like in the original movie, because he had informed Genie to keep a close eye on Jafar and protect the Sultan by any means.
Suddenly, a blue dalmatian, sniffing the air, ran out from around the corner.
"Al, you're finally here. I've been looking everywhere for you," Genie said as he threw himself into Aladdin's arms and tried to lick his face.
"That's enough, Genie," Aladdin said, pushing him away.
Genie stopped and snorted. "Talk about trying my best to be man's best friend." He turned his head to the side, and his eyes widened.
He leapt out of Aladdin's arms, stood on all four paws, then raised one of his front paws to his chest and said, "Bonsoir, mon chérie."
[French for, 'Good evening, my dear'.]
"A talking dog. I've never seen something like this before," Jasmine said with a smile. She leaned forward to pet Genie.
"Ahh! That's the spot," Genie moaned happily as Jasmine scratched behind his ears and belly.
"Jasmine, this is Genie. Genie, this is Princess Jasmine, the woman I told you about," Aladdin officially introduced the two of them.
Genie froze. Instantly, he flew out of Jasmine's hands and transformed into his usual form.
"You told her that I'm a genie?" he asked, surprised that Aladdin had willingly revealed such a secret to Jasmine.
"Yes. I didn't see any reason to hide it, especially now that you're part of the family and free," Aladdin responded.
"Such an honest lad! I knew there was something different about you from the moment I set my eyes on you," Genie said, drawing a handkerchief from thin air and using it to blow his nose.
"Princess Jasmine, you'd better take care of my Prince. I don't care if you're the most prized gem in Agrabah, or whatever... The moment you break his heart, I'm coming after you," Genie said, transforming into a stern-looking woman wearing glasses and pointing a finger at Jasmine.
"Do I make myself clear?"
"I will do my best to take care of Prince Aladdin," Jasmine replied with a smile.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Genie." She added, stretching out her hand for a handshake.
"AWWW! Everyone come together... let's take a family embrace," Genie said as he pulled everyone together, including Carpet, for a tight and warm hug before releasing them.
"Genie, can you take us to the Sultan?" Aladdin asked.
"Of course I can. Follow me," Genie said, transforming back into a dalmatian and sniffing the air and ground as though searching for a scent.
As he led the way with Aladdin and Jasmine following behind, he continued, "You told me to keep an eye on Jafar and protect the Sultan, which I did. Initially, I had my doubts, you see, but Jafar was just as evil as you said.
