Three weeks!!
It has been three weeks since she decided to revive her brother's soul through necromancy. However, she could neither sense nor find out where his soul had gone.
It was neither in paradise nor in hades.
It was neither trapped nor hidden in a secret realm.
It was as though it had vanished into thin air.
No, to put it more simply, it was as though a soul like Jafar's didn't exist in any such reality.
Naturally, this could only have one meaning: that the person she was searching for wasn't yet dead. But that was impossible, because she had sensed and confirmed his death. So why, then, was it so difficult for her to recover his soul?
"ALAADDIN!!" Nasira screamed in rage, pulling out strands of her hair.
The only explanation she could come up with at the moment was that the reason she was unable to locate her brother's soul was that the person who had killed him had done something to it.
Nasira still didn't dare come to the conclusion that Jafar's soul had been destroyed, because, though weak, a mortal soul was bound to two places after death, eternal paradise or damnation. So, for one to be able to destroy a soul, they would first need to isolate it from either of these forces.
The power to do so was so terrifying that no ordinary beings could accomplish such a feat unless they possessed divine powers or abilities bordering on the divine.
And Aladdin didn't seem to be a divine being. She didn't even dare consider the possibility of a divine being going out of its way to destroy Jafar's soul, because it would require a deep enmity between them for such a decision to be made. And knowing her brother, she knew that he was smart enough to avoid making such a being an enemy.
After several conclusions, everything led back to one person…
"ALADDINN!!" Nasira screamed in rage and agony once more, tears streaming down her cheeks.
She would catch him.
She would trap and torture him.
She would make him confess where he had hidden Jafar's soul and what he had done with it.
And then, she would…
Kill him!
After several minutes of pouring out her emotions and continuously failing to find her twin brother, Nasira wiped her eyes and brought out a letter she had tucked within her dress.
A week ago, she had managed to learn a valuable piece of information about the upcoming wedding of Aladdin and Princess Jasmine through her spies.
She had captured an envoy on its way to deliver an invitation to a nearby kingdom. She had kept it safely, hoping that the next time she opened it, it would be with her brother beside her. Unfortunately, fate had other plans.
Now, she was going to crash that wedding herself.
But before that, she first needed to prepare a plan in case the unexpected transpired.
"I've heard of a few thieves making waves across the Seven Deserts. What are their names again?" Nasira muttered to herself. "Thirty… Forty thieves, I think. It shouldn't be that difficult to contact them. The only issue is that they are too greedy for their own good. Not only are they untruthworthy, but their employers are unsafe and threatened because of their greed."
"But why should I care about that? It's not as though I will be paying them either way. They will act both as a distraction and a way of capturing Aladdin and Jasmine and finding out if there's anyone capable of destroying Jafar's soul within that palace."
Nasira quickly made her decision. First, she would write to the Forty Thieves to determine whether they were interested in robbing the Kingdom of Agrabah, before sending the letter to them as a means of gaining entry.
Their mission was doomed to fail, and even if they managed to escape, she wasn't worried about them becoming a nuisance, especially once they learned of her identity, and if that wasn't enough to scare them off, she could always turn them into one of her undying loyal men.
Nasira was a naturally arrogant individual due to her immense magical talent in necromancy. If it were in the original timeline, where Aladdin had destroyed Jafar after he had become a genie following a very fierce battle, she would have summoned Jafar easily and then quickly plotted her attack on Agrabah without needing many schemes, even with Jafar's warnings.
However, due to the sudden turn of events and the possibility of Jafar's soul being destroyed, every ounce of arrogance in her being was suppressed as she plotted to face a potentially dangerous being.
Unknown to Aladdin, the wheels of destiny, the unseen force that dictated the fate of all things, were already in motion, pulling along the Forty Thieves, who had originally infiltrated Aladdin's and Jasmine's wedding to steal a powerful magical artefact several months from now, to act earlier than their fated time.
And the events leading to it were far more dangerous and life-threatening than before.
Nasira took off a wide cloth from one of the covered couches and covered the magic circle with it. She still hadn't given up on her search for her twin brother.
Tucking the invitation letter back into her dress, she turned around, her ripped hair still in her grasp, and exited the room.
One and a half weeks later,
The kingdom of Agrabah was filled with the sounds of celebrations. Royal carriages led by entourages, caravans led by wealthy nobles and merchants, and other important individuals from across the Seven Deserts entered through the main gates of the kingdom.
The towns and cities were decorated with lanterns and celebratory banners.
The streets were exceptionally tidy, filled with the sounds of cheerful instruments. People dressed in their most luxurious attire walked down the streets. Everyone was cheerful and excited because they were aware that it was a special day when their Princess Jasmine would be getting married to her desired suitor, Prince Aladdin Ababwa.
