Chapter 37 - Chapter 37: Siegfrieda's Big Business

Facing Amu's confusion, Siegfrieda explained:

"Do you know what I do for a living?"

Amu shook his head: "No idea."

Siegfrieda smiled confidently: "Senior Logistics Distribution Administrator!"

"My main job is transporting goods between Mondstadt and Springvale."

Amu was a bit dazed; he hadn't remembered the string of titles Siegfrieda had just mentioned: "Senior Logis... what?"

Siegfrieda waved her hand dismissively, indicating it wasn't important.

Siegfrieda patted Amu's shoulder: "Look, isn't the distance from Mondstadt City to Springvale very far? Isn't it very inconvenient for the people of Springvale to go to Mondstadt for shopping? Not only is the distance long, but there's also the risk of running into Hilichurls blocking the road to rob you, just like I did. Isn't it dangerous?"

Amu felt she had a point, so he nodded vigorously.

Amu: "You are right."

Siegfrieda continued: "In that case, if someone was willing to help them bring the goods they needed from Mondstadt to Springvale, do you think they would be willing to pay a little Mora?"

Amu: "Of course they would."

Siegfrieda clapped her hands: "Exactly! See? There's the Mora."

"Look at your carriage, and your combat strength. You can transport quite a lot of goods from Mondstadt to Springvale, and you don't even have to worry about Hilichurls robbing you on the road."

"When the time comes, I'll contact the customers, and you'll transport the goods. We'll combine our strengths, grow bigger and stronger, and achieve new glory. Will we still need to worry about Mora then? Absolutely not!"

As Siegfrieda spoke, she became completely immersed in the beautiful dream she was weaving for Amu.

She thought to herself: "Once I earn a ton of Mora, I'll invite the master chefs from all Seven Nations to cook delicious, ever-changing meals for me every single day! Hahahaha!!!"

"I am truly too smart!!!"

Amu pondered for a moment: "What you said makes sense, but there is one problem."

"Hahahaha—Gah!"

Siegfrieda paused, asking blankly: "What problem?"

Amu: "This carriage isn't mine. I need to ask Mr. Arkz for his opinion first."

Siegfrieda: "Who is Mr. Arkz?"

Amu: "My boss."

Siegfrieda looked at Amu, the tall carriage behind him, and the delicious food she had just seen. She gritted her teeth: "Where is your boss? I'll go persuade him."

Siegfrieda secretly cheered herself on.

"Go, Siegfrieda, for the sake of lovely Mora, for unending delicious food, fight for it!"

Siegfrieda jumped onto the carriage and shouted excitedly to Amu: "Head in the direction of your boss, full speed ahead!!!"

Amu was also moved by Siegfrieda's passion, grabbed the wooden horse's ear, and shouted: "Full speed ahead!!!"

Half an hour later.

Siegfrieda and Amu were both crouching in a corner, looking like they were repenting.

Arkz rubbed his forehead with a headache, looking at the two culprits who had charged into his wooden house and jammed the carriage into the wall.

"Folks, does anyone understand? He was just about to renovate today's guest wooden house to use as a kitchen and dining room, but Amu rushed in with a girl driving the wooden horse carriage. Now the carriage is stuck in the wall."

Arkz looked down at the two of them in a low voice, his gaze coldly sweeping over the two culprits: "You two! Do you know you were wrong?"

"I know I was wrong, Big Shot, I really know I was wrong!!!"

"Big Shot, please let me off the hook! I will work to repay your losses!!!"

Looking at Siegfrieda clinging to his leg, crying bitterly, wiping her tears and snot onto his pants, and Amu squatting in the corner playing hide-and-seek, Arkz held his forehead in pain.

Arkz, having changed into a new pair of pants, looked at the damaged guest wooden house and waved his hand. The wooden house constructed with Elemental Power instantly vanished. The carriage embedded in the wall gently descended like a piece of paper under Arkz's control.

Seeing this scene, Siegfrieda's legs went weak, and she almost fell to her knees.

Siegfrieda thought bitterly: "Today is definitely an unlucky day. First, I was surrounded by Hilichurls, and now I've provoked an allogene Big Shot. I want to go home."

Arkz sighed and motioned for Siegfrieda and Amu to sit down by the campfire.

As a wooden creature, Amu was naturally somewhat afraid of fire, but following Arkz's order, he still sat near the campfire, albeit quite far away.

Arkz looked at the girl beside him, who seemed to be about the same age as Ellin, and asked: "Your name is Siegfrieda, right?"

Siegfrieda: "Yes, Big Shot."

Arkz waved his hand: "Don't be nervous. That house was built using Elemental Power. If it's broken, it's broken. You don't need to compensate."

"And just call me Arkz. Stop calling me Big Shot."

Siegfrieda: "Okay, Mr. Arkz..."

Arkz poked the campfire with a branch, feeling the heat of the flames, and said: "You said you want Amu to work with you. Explain it carefully."

At an age similar to Ellin's, if this were the world before Arkz transmigrated, Siegfrieda should still be in school. But here, she had to start making a living so early. Amu told him she was trapped in a tree by Hilichurls today.

Since she was willing to strive for a better life, Arkz wasn't stingy about giving her a chance.

Hearing Arkz say that, Siegfrieda's eyes lit up, and she immediately presented the reasons she had prepared.

Listening carefully to Siegfrieda's explanation, Arkz felt it was extremely familiar—wasn't this the express delivery industry from his past life? It seemed to have quite good prospects here.

In the nation of Mondstadt, hundreds of towns and countless villages were scattered sporadically around Mondstadt City.

Slightly larger towns would have merchants and caravans selling goods in the marketplace.

However, those smaller villages would rarely see merchants or caravans passing through because the profit was too low and the risk too high. These villages usually entrusted the procurement of supplies to a respected person within the village.

But a small village didn't mean they couldn't earn Mora. To survive in an environment surrounded by monsters, these villages almost always had something to rely on. Accumulated over the ages, they surely possessed precious monster materials and local specialties.

If Siegfrieda could gain the trust of these villages, perhaps she could truly develop a commercial empire relying on the logistics industry.

However, the prerequisite was that her express delivery industry with Amu needed to establish a foothold in Springvale first.

After Siegfrieda finished speaking, Arkz looked towards Amu.

Arkz asked: "Amu, what do you think?"

Amu was silent for a moment before replying: "Amu wants to join. Amu wants Mora."

Arkz: "What about your Patrol Team job?"

Amu: "Patrol Team job at night. Transporting goods during the day."

Arkz nodded: "Since you are both prepared, you must stick with it to the end."

"I'll lend you this carriage for now, but remember to take good care of it."

Siegfrieda exclaimed excitedly: "Mr. Arkz, you agree?"

Arkz: "Mm."

Siegfrieda suddenly rushed over, crying and laughing with excitement: "Wow! That's wonderful, Mr. Arkz, and Amu, thank you both!"

Arkz said helplessly: "Stop crying. I just changed my clothes!"
