Chapter 13 - EP 13 : THE PLAN

🌹 THE ROSEGLID INTERNATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

Episode 13 — "The Plan"

At

Roseglid International High School

things didn't go back to normal after a moment like that.

They couldn't.

Morning felt… off.

Not loud.

Not chaotic.

Just—

tense.

Section F wasn't as noisy as usual.

Blake noticed first.

"…why does it feel like we all failed a test we didn't study for?"

Kai leaned back.

"Because something happened."

Jett looked between Damien and Ash.

"Oh yeah. Something definitely happened."

At the back—

Damien Alexander Sinclair

sat still.

Unreadable.

Beside him—

Ashylene Rae Valyne

was unusually quiet.

That alone?

Terrifying.

Blake leaned toward her.

"…you okay?"

Ash didn't look at him.

"Define okay."

"Talking. Roasting. Breathing aggressively."

She smirked faintly.

"…I'm breathing."

Noah watched both of them.

Carefully.

Analyzing.

Because whatever happened—

changed the pattern.

Class started.

Ignored.

Ash didn't tease Damien.

Didn't look at him.

Didn't even acknowledge him.

And somehow—

that was worse.

Damien noticed.

Of course he did.

And it annoyed him.

More than it should.

Because now—

he was the one looking.

Waiting.

For something.

Anything.

But she gave him nothing.

Break time.

Ash walked out first.

Fast.

Like she needed space.

Damien followed.

Without thinking.

She stopped near the corridor window.

Arms crossed.

Looking outside.

"You're avoiding me," he said.

She didn't turn.

"You're imagining things."

"That's not true."

"Then believe what you want."

Silence.

Sharp.

He stepped closer.

"About yesterday—"

"Don't."

That stopped him.

She turned now.

Eyes steady.

Guard up again.

"We're not talking about it," she said.

"Why?"

"Because it didn't happen."

That hit.

Hard.

His jaw tightened.

"It did."

"No," she said calmly. "It almost did."

Worse.

"Same thing."

"Not to me."

Silence.

She stepped closer.

Lowering her voice.

"You don't get to blur lines when you feel like it," she said.

"I wasn't—"

"You were."

Their eyes locked.

And this time—

there was no softness.

Just tension.

And something unresolved.

She stepped back.

"Let's keep things simple, Sinclair," she said.

"We're good at that."

Then she walked away.

Leaving him there.

Again.

But this time—

it felt different.

Because now—

he wasn't sure if simple was even possible anymore.

Back in class—

the atmosphere didn't improve.

Blake leaned toward Kai.

"…they're definitely fighting."

Kai nodded.

"Or worse."

Jett frowned.

"What's worse than fighting?"

Noah answered quietly—

"Silence."

That shut them up.

Lunch.

Ash sat with them.

But not really.

She was there.

Physically.

But her mind?

Somewhere else.

Blake nudged her.

"You're too quiet. I don't like it."

She sighed.

"Congratulations. You're evolving."

He grinned.

"There she is."

But it wasn't the same.

Damien sat across.

Watching.

Again.

Always watching.

And for the first time—

he didn't know what move to make.

Because now—

the plan felt wrong.

But stopping it?

Also wrong.

His phone buzzed.

He checked it.

Unknown number.

"You hesitated."

Another message.

"That wasn't part of the plan."

His grip tightened.

Another.

"Remember why you started."

And then—

"Make her fall. Then break her."

Silence.

His eyes darkened.

Because that—

was the plan.

And he hadn't forgotten.

He just—

didn't like it anymore.

After school—

Section F gathered again.

Trying to bring back normal.

Blake dragged Ash into conversation.

Jett started a random debate.

Kai laughed too loud.

But it didn't fully work.

Because the tension—

was still there.

Underneath everything.

Damien stood a little away.

Watching her.

Again.

Then—

he made a decision.

If he couldn't stop the plan—

he'd control it.

Do it his way.

Finish it faster.

Before it got worse.

Before he got worse.

He walked toward her.

"Walk with me," he said.

Ash raised a brow.

"…bossy today."

"Just come."

She studied him.

Then shrugged.

"Fine."

They walked away from the group.

Toward the quieter side of campus.

Silence followed them.

Until—

he spoke.

"You trust people easily," he said.

She frowned.

"No, I don't."

"You trusted them."

She glanced at him.

"They earned it."

"And me?"

That question—

hung.

She looked away.

"…undecided."

Fair.

Too fair.

He stepped closer.

"Then let me change that."

Her eyes flickered.

"Why?"

Because of the plan.

Because of revenge.

Because of everything.

But he didn't say that.

"Because I want to," he said instead.

And that—

was the first real lie.

She held his gaze.

Searching.

For truth.

For intention.

For something real.

"…you're weird today," she said.

"You've said that before."

"Yeah. But this time it feels different."

It was.

He stepped closer again.

Not touching.

But close.

"I'm serious," he said.

"About what?"

"You."

Silence.

Her heartbeat picked up.

Fast.

Too fast.

"…don't," she said quietly.

"Don't what?"

"Say things you don't mean."

That hit.

Because he didn't know if he meant them.

Or if he was just following the plan.

And that—

was the problem.

He didn't stop.

"I do mean it," he said.

Lie.

Truth.

Something in between.

She looked at him.

Longer this time.

Then—

stepped back.

"I don't trust easy," she said.

"But if I do…"

She didn't finish.

Didn't need to.

He understood.

Too well.

And that made it worse.

Because now—

he wasn't just playing with her.

He was playing with something real.

And breaking that?

Wouldn't be simple.

Wouldn't be clean.

Wouldn't be easy.

But the plan—

didn't care.

From a distance—

Vanessa watched.

Arms crossed.

Eyes sharp.

"…so that's how it is," she muttered.

Behind her—

the hooded figure stood again.

Silent.

Observing.

"Everything is in place," they said softly.

Vanessa smirked.

"Good," she replied.

"Let's ruin her."
