1 Day left before Rivermark's trial match commences.
A relatively cold evening, the street seemed peaceful, more than usual perhaps. Perfect conditions for Sonny to train, as he loved to train when there wasn't much haste in the area.
Sonny was juggling his ball, he wasn't too concerned about the trial. For him the pressure hadn't kicked in yet.
"193, 194, 195, 196, 197, 198, 199..."
"Ay Sonny!", A voice exclaimed.
"Two hundred... oh, Yagami. What's up" Sonny exclaimed in response.
Yagami drew closer with a ball in his hand "how you doing bro, you training?" He asked.
"Well, yeah. I do this after school everyday"
"Ohh, everyday!? That's a whole lot of dedication right there" Yagami said.
"Hahaha, nahh it's just my way of getting prepared and all" Sonny chuckled.
"Hmm, then tell me what you've been practicing", Yagami asked.
"Oh, ok. Well I usually do shooting and passing drills on a good day, and sometimes I do other more complex drills" Sonny said.
"Oh nice, lets do a shooting contest then!" Yagami blurted, while taking one ball and getting ready to shoot.
"Whu- umm... ok" Sonny muttered.
"Nice! I'll go first" Yagami said.
"We're gonna hit in stages, so first we'll go for the top corners then bottom, first to miss loses" Yagami explained.
He told Sonny to go and goalkeep and try to stop his shot, so they took turns goalkeeping each others shots.
Yagami touched the ball forward, made a little run up and fired a curler at the goal, Sonny stood in awe.
The ball curled into the top right corner.
"Gooaal! hahaha. Your turn man", Yagami chuckled while going to the goal to keep.
"Bro what the actual f**K was that shot... nah this guy isn't ordinary in the slightest" Sonny thought to himself, while looking at how fired up Yagami was.
"Come on bro, shoot already", Yagami exclaimed.
"Fine, fine, get ready" Sonny replied.
Sonny stood on the left side of the 18 yard box instead of the right where Yagami shot from.
"Alright" Sonny muttered.
Touched the ball forward, took a deep breath, made a little run up and shot the ball with brute force.
The ball drilled towards the goal. Yagami actually dived and tried to save it.
The ball was too fast and accurate, it banged into the back of the top right corner.
"That was a great shot bro!" Yagami exclaimed.
"Thanks, hehe" Sonny chuckled.
Yagami stepped up to take his second shot. He stood at the left side of the 18 yard box this time.
He touched the ball forward, made his run up and put his laces through the ball. The shot seemed to be headed towards the top right corner.
Sonny shifted to dive to the right corner, but the ball dipped and slammed into the top left corner.
"Bro, the heck is that shot!?" Sonny exclaimed with anger.
"You're not even giving me a chance to save any of these" Sonny exclaimed, while Yagami was laughing out loud.
"You're not even listening to me" Sonny muttered while looking at Yagami laugh.
They continued the shooting practice, Sonny continued to shoot the ball with force, so Yagami couldn't react quick enough to save them.
Yagami continued to bend his shots in the craziest ways possible.
To Yagami this was this was light work.
It was getting late. The sun was setting. Yagami stepped up to take another shot.
He touched the ball forward, made his signature run up and shot the ball with his laces towards the bottom left corner.
"I have to save this one, it doesn't seem like he applied much force to it" Sonny thought while positioning himself to dive.
He dived and managed to get his finger tips to the ball, which caused it to hit the post and out of play.
"ahhh, why'd you save it!" Yagami muttered.
"Haha, yes! I'm gonna win this" Sonny blurted, while getting ready to shoot his shot.
He made his run up, and laced through the ball, and into the bottom right corner.
"Gooooaaaalll" Sonny exclaimed, while running to the corner flag to celebrate to the invisible audience.
"Hahaha, nice job bro!" Yagami blurted.
"It's getting pretty late, we gotta get going" Sonny said, while packing his things.
"Well, this was fun. Tomorrow's the final day of the trial, see you then" Yagami responded while packing up.
"But, Yagami... where'd you learn how to curl the ball like that?" Sonny asked.
"Hehehe, I guess practice makes perfect" Yagami responded with a grin, and waved goodbye to Sonny.
"There's no way practice can make you that good at curlers like that" Sonny muttered.
He packed his gear into his bag and headed home. On his way home he thought to himself how Yagami could curve the ball so easily with such precision.
He felt like something about how skillful Yagami is wasn't adding up.
Then he remembered he was meant to get his sister some chips on his way back, and sprinted to a store nearby to get some.
He arrived at the store tired, after all the running "I can't forget those chips, she won't leave me alone if I forget", he muttered while catching his breath.
He walked into the store and grabbed a bag of chips from the shelves.
A robber entered the store with a baseball bat in his hand and was demanding the cashier lady to give him all the money in the counter.
"Give me everything in there now!" The robber exclaimed.
"Ah, ok ok ok" the cashier lady exclaimed with fear.
"Oh sh*t, had to steal when im tired...I can't let him steal so easily" Sonny muttered, while watching the robbery.
He rushed to stop the robbery, but was pushed aside by a boy about the same age as him, maybe older.
The boy held the hand of the robber and told him to stop.
"Get your hand off me boy!" The robber exclaimed, about to hit the boy with the baseball bat.
The boy clutched the robber's hand and swiped his feet off the ground causing him to fall.
The security who were around rushed in to hold the robber to the ground, and take him away.
"Oh, thank you soo much Axel, you're a life saver" the cashier lady, whom was quite young blurted.
"It's alright, it's been a while since I came around, so I can't let something like that happen on my return" Axel replied.
"Oh, how can I ever repay you Axel Mercer, I can't let a good deed go unnoticed" the cashier lady asked, while handing Axel's goods to him.
"No no, it's cool. Just say hi to your manager, Mrs May for me" Axel Mercer replied while heading out with his items.
"Mercer? As in a part of the Mercer family?" Sonny muttered to himself.
He rushed outside to catch up with Axel, but Axel had already left the area by the time he came out.
"I never knew Kelly had a brother" Sonny said, while itching his head outside the store
