Lin walked into the office angered. "So you are sleeping with boss? Jane you just got here? How could you? I told you I liked him and I wanted this man and this is what you do in return? I just got you a good job and now you want me to get fired. You slut!"
"Excuse me? He asked me out and my job stayed on the line. And you are not my superior here, I'm your equal." The whole team watched the drama from around them.
"Really? You even have the guts to speak back to me? Are you serious? Wow. This will be the last time I do anything for the ungrateful or you." Lin said.
"Lin you are the ungrateful, you are so greedy. I don't like it and to be correct, I need to stand my ground when I say this. I'm not a slut like you. I promise you that." Jane said and walked out on her.
"Oh really! That's how it is?" She turned to look around, the eyes staring at her were just too much. "What are you looking at?!" She walked out of the office annoyed.
Shen stood there to address his team. He tried to concentrate on the team and their activities but the kiss Li gave him the previous haunted his lips, especially with the new start of the office drama between Jane and Lin over him.
He tried testing the products, he noticed they had to undergo the process while over. He needed something new to the market and not something out of point. He stayed up all night making sure he had these and now he felt like they weren't good enough.
"I'll need a caramel coffee, apple flavored milky coffee, chocolate, milky and dark coffee. Let's work with that first." He said.
He walked towards the kitchen area trying to mix them up. Li walked in and from what he saw. He wasn't happy. "What just happened here? A fight? Jane! Lin! Come out."
Both of them stepped forward to the middle. "The both of you are suspended! You don't have any rights whatsoever to fight over anyone you are not married to! Not in my office or company!"
"Sir she started it." Jane said.
"I don't care who started it. Keep your romance and emotions out of work. That's it." He walked out of the office like he wasn't the cause of it, with his words he made it clear. He belong to no one.
The whole team had a long day ahead of them, it was meant for marketing.
It's four hours later. Shen stood with his team. He brought the packages products out and knew he was set for the public show, he waited for a while. The photography group did their thing with products and designed it for the billboards.
Su walked up to the monitor trying to make payments for ads. She watched the videos again and made sure they were fully edited to her taste. "Everyone we'll be releasing the Li coffee premier by 2pm! Get ready!" She announced.
She moved to the other monitor, the hair products and the be airy products were fully ready to be sold via revenue. They hoped it did. "Prepare for the Li beauty and Li hair premier by 2pm! Get ready!"
Li overheard her voice, he tried his best to remain calm. He walked over to the office, he walked past them and straight to Lin. "I need to see you."
"Yes sir." She didn't have a face of joy on her face.
"I'm sorry. I yelled at you. I overreacted and I shouldn't have. I told you I wanted things private and simple. Don't make a scene next time." He said.
"Yes sir. I won't make a scene next time." He wanted to hug her but that would make everyone suspect. He held her hand secretly instead. He left a few seconds later.
He tried to look for Jane but she wasn't close by. He knew he had to check the bathroom. "Jane?"
She heard her name and kept her mouth shut. "Jane I know you are here. Come out."
"No, you make me look like a fool. I don't even want to work here anymore." He could tell she cried and is still crying. "Leave."
He walked over to her. "Jane? I'm sorry. I'll do better next time."
"I'm not going on another date. Never again. Thank you." She cleaned her face and walked out.
They waited for 2pm, they had a timer counting the views and purchases made by the public. They watched Su count down the numbers, "Ten! Nine! Eight! Seven! Six! Five! Four! Three! Two! One! Premier!" She clicked on the button.
They watched the numbers grow bigger per view. They just achieved what they thought. The coffee brand, beauty brand and hair products brand were now fully launched as Li trademarks on the markets. All based on revenue.
The team cheered out loud after they noticed the increase. One million view under thirty minutes and four hundred thousand purchases. They were filthy rich now. Li watched from his desk.
Jane walked into the office ready to leave. Li asked, "Are you leaving?"
"No it's time for closing."
"Jane come here." He held her close to him.
"Leave me alone. I'm not your toy. I don't want any romance. Just work." She said.
She picked up her bag and walked out.
Li watched her walk out of the office building. He stayed calmly put together. He had a win and a loss in one day and then he realized he needed to see his mother.
It's 6:34pm. He dialed her number while standing outside. She saw the call and stood there surprised at the call. She turned and noticed he stood outside with a new car and he had a new look.
She walked slowly. "Li? Is that you?"
"Mom? Yes."
She embraced him. "Li! I've missed you! Why did it take you so long to call me?"
"I'm sorry mom. I'm so sorry." He hugged her tight.
"It's alright. You now have a car? A new car? A new phone? Did you steal them? You look expensive Li."
"Yes I got a new job with the Jade industries." Her smile faded.
"You met Jade?"
"Yes."
From her facial expression, she didn't like it.
