Chapter 16 - Five Hundred Gold Coins

Lucien checked the remaining items dropped by the BOSS in his inventory.

One was a piece of fashion, the princess dress the BOSS had been wearing.

This item was of no use to Lucien.

There was also a bottle of Advanced Health Recovery Potion, which could restore 50,000 HP at once.

Not bad; if the situation were critical, this Advanced Health Recovery Potion would be equivalent to having an extra life.

As for the last item, it made his eyes light up.

"Goblin Royal Bloodline"

Description: After use, allows the user to possess the Goblin Royal Bloodline, increasing base Strength and Agility by five points each!

Warning: Due to the strong polluting nature of the Goblin bloodline, the user's appearance will change after use. Please use with caution.

Not bad, it's also a good item; after all, there aren't many items that can increase base stat points.

However, Lucien was not interested in this; he didn't want his own bloodline to be polluted by the Goblin bloodline.

Besides, with his own Luck, could he not obtain a better bloodline?

However, if this thing were sold, many people would probably be willing to pay a high price for it, right?

After all, this adds base stat points, not ordinary stat points.

Many people don't care about their appearance; they only care about their own strength.

For these people, as long as they can increase their combat power, even if they become ugly, it's not unacceptable.

Then, he checked the rewards given by the system for being the first to clear the Goblin Forest [Hell] difficulty.

First was the gold coins; he was rewarded with a full 1,000 gold coins.

At his current level, he could stay in the game for another twelve hours.

Next was Reputation; there was nothing much to say about this, as it was even more precious than gold coins.

There was also a Gold Treasure Chest, which was the item Lucien was looking forward to the most.

Relying on his Luck, even a Gold-grade treasure chest had the possibility of yielding a dark gold-grade item.

Gold Skill Chest: Can yield a Gold-grade skill that fits one's class.

Seeing that it was guaranteed to be Gold-grade, Lucien felt slightly disappointed.

However, Lucien did not open it immediately; he prepared to wait until he changed to his hidden class before opening it.

As for the last point, the +1 to all stats, Lucien didn't pay too much attention to it.

When he leveled up, he got +4 to all stats, so +1 was a very small increase for him, but it was better than nothing!

But when he saw the detailed system introduction, Lucien's expression changed.

Base stat points: Attributes obtained only when creating a character before entering the Battle Online game.

Lucien's base stats should have been...

Strength, Spirit, Agility, and Stamina were all twenty points.

But now, all of his base stat points had actually increased by one.

Of course, this did not include Luck; Luck was a special attribute, and it wasn't so easy to increase.

The significance of this was completely different; an increase in base stats meant that he could obtain more stats when leveling up in the future.

This was just the first dungeon; if every Hell difficulty dungeon cleared for the first time increased base stats by one point, then the stats he gained every time he leveled up in the future would only increase more and more.

And the gap between others and himself would only continue to widen.

If Hell difficulty had such rewards, would the rewards for Purgatory difficulty dungeons be even higher?

Lucien looked at the clearance chest again, then thought for a moment and put the clearance chest back into his inventory.

He could completely wait a few days before opening it; his talent skill would be ready in a few days.

After the cooldown finished, he would open the chest to try and get better rewards.

Originally, Lucien planned to sell the Goblin Royal Bloodline after reaching level ten and entering the main city.

It seemed that given the current situation, he couldn't sell it for the time being.

He must obtain all the Hell difficulty dungeon rewards before selling it.

If he sold the Goblin bloodline, causing the other party's strength to increase and the first clear of these Hell difficulty dungeons to be snatched away by others, he would cry himself to death.

After looking at his loot, that single ghost artifact equipment had not been appraised yet; he needed to find the blacksmith to appraise it.

First, he put on the Goblin Netherbone Shoes, which significantly increased his Agility, and then he walked towards the blacksmith shop.

Clang, clang; the sound of hammering was incessant.

Under Lucien's gaze, a tall and sturdy middle-aged man was holding a huge hammer, striking a piece of unformed equipment in front of him.

Just with the other party's hammering, in only one minute, a brand-new Novice Sword was forged.

This was the blacksmith of the Novice Village; there weren't many people at the blacksmith shop at this time.

After all, the Novice Village blacksmith shop didn't sell weapons and equipment; it only helped people repair equipment, forge equipment, and, of course, appraise equipment.

"Hello, I'm here to appraise equipment!"

Hearing that someone had come to appraise equipment, Blacksmith Uncle put down the huge hammer in his hand.

"Young man, not bad, huh? You actually managed to drop equipment that needs appraisal."

In the entire Novice Village, not many people could drop equipment that needed appraisal in a year.

Anyone who could come to appraise equipment while still in the Novice Village definitely possessed great Luck.

"Just a bit of good Luck!" Lucien said.

Saying this, he took out the mask for the blacksmith to appraise.

Looking at the mask in Lucien's hand that was emitting an eerie red light, the blacksmith was startled.

"You actually dropped a ghost artifact? This is equipment even rarer than a celestial artifact!"

Lucien's heart stirred, and he asked: "Hmm? Aren't celestial artifacts and ghost artifacts of the same rank?"

The blacksmith smiled and said: "You will know about this yourself in the future!"

Lucien, who had originally wanted to extract some information, could only helplessly say: "Alright, then help me appraise this piece of equipment first!"

The blacksmith took the mask from Lucien's hand and looked at it carefully.

"Although your ghost artifact is low-level, it definitely belongs to the top-tier ghost artifacts. How about this! I'll only charge you five hundred gold coins!"

Hearing the price, Lucien almost cursed out loud.

"Damn, are you serious?! Appraising a piece of equipment costs five hundred gold coins? Why don't you just go rob someone?"

"I've been working my butt off for days; not counting the one thousand gold coins rewarded by the system, I've only dropped a dozen or so gold coins."

"I'm just asking you to appraise a piece of equipment, and you're actually charging me five hundred gold coins."

However, thinking of his hidden quest, Lucien held his nose and accepted it!

"Here are five hundred gold coins, please take them!"

The blacksmith took the gold coins and took out a bottle of unknown green liquid, pouring it onto the mask.

A flash of red light passed, and a mask with the appearance of an exceptionally ugly Goblin appeared in his hand.

Looking at the ugly mask, Lucien's first reaction was disgust.

It was just too ugly; it was even uglier than the Goblin Princess
