Green light flickered beneath Tsuna's feet.
Using Bringer Light, Tsuna carried Ichigo and Tatsuki while rapidly moving through the streets and alleys of Karakura Town, relying on his familiarity with the area. Occasionally, when they passed through deserted areas, he even launched them into high jumps across rooftops.
Fortunately, neither Ichigo nor Tatsuki were easily frightened.
Neither of them screamed once.
Tatsuki clung tightly to Tsuna's chest, while Ichigo occasionally let out excited cheers.
"Tsuna! You should've shown off this ability earlier!" Ichigo shouted.
Seeing Karakura Town from the air made his adrenaline surge.
"No wonder I always ended up chasing dead ends whenever I tried following you," Tatsuki accused.
"You were deliberately leading me into blind spots, weren't you?"
Tsuna simply laughed awkwardly.
A moment later, he landed with them in a small wooded area.
Soon, both Ichigo and Tatsuki fell silent.
Not far away—
a white-masked monster was chasing Uryū.
Uryū glided across the ground like an ice skater, blue light flashing beneath his feet as he used Hirenkyaku to keep distance. From time to time, he turned and fired a Reishi Arrow, carefully maintaining the Hollow's attention.
Noticing Tsuna's arrival, Uryū initially tried to retreat with Hirenkyaku.
But then he saw Tsuna waving at him.
Sliding gracefully in a curved arc, Uryū arrived beside him.
"Why did you bring two other people?" he asked coldly.
"Relax. They can both see Hollows," Tsuna said reassuringly.
"You know that's not what I meant," Uryū replied.
"Fighting Hollows is dangerous. Bringing ordinary people here is reckless."
As he spoke, he prepared to draw his bow again.
"Wait," Tsuna said.
"I'll handle this one."
He lowered Uryū's bow.
Green spiritual power flickered around Tsuna's hand.
A pair of black handcuffs appeared.
Fullbring — Cloud Attribute Equipment: Alaude's Handcuffs.
Tsuna bent slightly, dodging the Hollow's claw attack.
At the same time, he snapped the handcuffs onto the Hollow's arm.
Immediately—
under the propagation property of Cloud Flames, the handcuffs began multiplying.
Click. Click. Click.
The sound echoed rapidly.
Within seconds, countless metal rings bound the Hollow's entire body, immobilizing it completely.
Tsuna kicked the Hollow to the ground.
Then he turned to Ichigo and Tatsuki.
"See that?"
"This monster is called a Hollow."
"If a human soul cannot pass on and stays in the living world too long, it eventually becomes something like this."
As he spoke, he glanced back.
Tatsuki seemed relatively calm.
But Ichigo—
Ichigo was hugging his arms tightly.
Cold sweat poured down his forehead, and his face was pale with fear.
"I've seen them before," Ichigo muttered.
"I've seen monsters like this."
Fragments of memories flashed through his mind.
"Wait… how did I survive?"
Seeing how destructive the Hollow was, Ichigo couldn't imagine surviving such a creature.
"Wait… Mom!"
The last image in his memory was his mother standing in front of him.
So how had they both survived?
"Relax, relax," Tsuna said, patting Ichigo's back.
"Everyone turned out fine, didn't they?"
This was the first time Tsuna had ever seen Ichigo look genuinely frightened.
After calming down slightly, Ichigo suddenly grabbed Tsuna's shoulders.
"Tsuna… is my mom some kind of superhuman too?"
That was the only explanation he could think of.
Otherwise, how could they both have survived?
"Well…" Tsuna said awkwardly.
"Ichigo, don't overthink it. Aunt Masaki should just be a normal person."
He silently added in his mind:
For now.
"Tsuna," Tatsuki said.
"So every time you slipped away from me, you were coming to fight monsters like this?"
"More or less," Tsuna replied.
"Most of the time it's just patrol. Hollows don't appear every day."
"Can I gain powers like you and Ishida?" Tatsuki asked eagerly.
"Can I protect Karakura Town too?"
"You could try," Tsuna answered carefully.
"Then I'll patrol with you from now on," Tatsuki declared.
"We'll protect Karakura Town together."
Tsuna wasn't the same clueless version of himself from Reborn.
He could clearly sense when someone had feelings for him.
Tatsuki was attractive, and they had grown up together.
And now she was willing to face danger beside him.
There was no way Tsuna could pretend not to understand.
"Alright," Tsuna replied softly with a smile.
Tatsuki smiled happily.
But afterward she suddenly looked a little shy.
"Ahem."
Uryū interrupted calmly.
"While you two are flirting, maybe you should deal with the Hollow first."
"With the amount of spiritual pressure you're pouring into those restraints, it's about to die anyway."
Indeed—
as Tsuna continued feeding Reiatsu into the restraints, the handcuffs tightened further and further.
The Hollow no longer even had the strength to scream.
"Oh. Sorry about that."
Tsuna flicked his wrist.
The restraints fully contracted.
The Hollow was crushed and destroyed instantly.
"Tsuna," Ichigo said suddenly, gripping his shoulders again.
"If I train with you, I can gain powers too, right?"
"I want abilities like yours."
"I never want to feel powerless again."
"You shouldn't have any problems," Tsuna replied.
"What do you mean he has no problems?" Tatsuki complained.
"Why only him?"
"People have different levels of talent," Tsuna said.
Internally, he thought:
Ichigo has the greatest talent in all of Bleach. How could an ordinary human compare?
Uryū then asked:
"Tsuna, what exactly are you planning to teach them?"
Both Tatsuki and Ichigo clearly possessed spiritual awareness.
But what kind of power they should learn was another matter.
"Fullbring," Tsuna answered.
"It's the most suitable ability for humans."
More importantly—
he didn't dare teach Ichigo Shinigami powers or Quincy techniques without the permission of Ichigo's parents.
Fullbring, however, was different.
"So," Tsuna said, looking at Ichigo,
"do you understand the danger with Orihime's brother now?"
"I get it," Ichigo nodded.
"But… is there a way for Orihime to see her brother one last time before he passes on?"
That was Ichigo's nature.
Compassionate to the point of naivety.
Throughout Bleach, Ichigo rarely fought with the intention to kill.
The only time he truly displayed killing intent was when Shūkurō Tsukishima manipulated all his friends and family.
Only in complete despair did Ichigo show that side.
Tsuna thought for a moment.
"For most people, it would be impossible."
"But if it's you and me… we might be able to try."
"Really?!" Ichigo said excitedly.
"Let's go to Orihime's house right now!"
"So impatient?"
"You said souls can turn into monsters like that!"
"Then we should deal with it as soon as possible!"
"The Chain of Fate on his chest is still intact," Tsuna replied calmly.
"What's the rush?"
"Besides—have you thought of a reason for visiting her house twice in one day?"
Ichigo scratched his head awkwardly.
Then Tsuna suddenly asked something that made Ichigo panic.
"You're worried about Orihime's house," Tsuna said.
"But what about your own?"
"Didn't you say your house is always full of wandering souls?"
"If that's the case," Tatsuki added thoughtfully,
"then Ichigo surviving all this time means he's incredibly lucky."
Ichigo immediately grabbed Tsuna again.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier?!"
"When we were kids we even played with those spirits!"
"If it's dangerous we should've chased them away!"
"Actually," Tsuna replied,
"those spirits probably passed on peacefully because they had someone like you keeping them company."
"Relax. It's not a big problem."
Tsuna even suspected that Ichigo's overly compassionate personality had developed because of growing up surrounded by wandering souls.
"Hmm… that makes sense," Ichigo said slowly.
Then he suddenly panicked again.
"But what if something unexpected happens?!"
"What if another one of those masked—uh—Hollow monsters appears?!"
"That's possible."
"Then let's start training immediately!" Ichigo said excitedly.
"I can't wait anymore!"
They were at the perfect age for chuunibyou fantasies.
How could Ichigo resist gaining supernatural powers?
"In that case," Tsuna said,
"let's meet at my house."
Then he turned to Uryū.
"I'll need your help tomorrow too."
"I'll take them to Orihime's house again."
Recently Tsuna's father had accepted a project in another region of Japan.
His mother had gone with him.
So Tsuna currently had the house entirely to himself.
That meant he could use Fullbring freely without hiding anything.
Uryū sighed and waved his hand.
He agreed to handle Tsuna's patrol duties.
Tsuna grabbed Tatsuki by the waist and casually lifted Ichigo.
Using Bringer Light, he dashed toward his house.
Ichigo's protests could be heard echoing through the air.
"Hey! You idiot! Can't you hold me properly?!"
Tsuna's House
While explaining the principles of Fullbring to Ichigo and Tatsuki, Tsuna casually used his ability to control the residence objects.
Under their amazed gazes, he even cooked dinner by manipulating the kitchen utensils remotely.
"Alright," Tsuna said after finishing.
"You understand the basics now."
"Before training, choose an object that is precious to you."
"It will make it easier to draw out the object's soul."
"If you didn't bring it today, we can start tomorrow."
"No need," Tatsuki said immediately.
"My precious object is always with me."
She rolled up her sleeve and revealed the wrist guard on her arm.
It was the birthday gift Tsuna gave her two years ago.
She had worn it ever since.
Seeing it, Tsuna became even more certain of her feelings.
If she successfully awakened Fullbring through it, the spiritual power would protect it indefinitely.
Tsuna and Tatsuki exchanged a brief glance.
Then they both looked at Ichigo.
Ichigo hesitated for a long time before pulling something from beneath his shirt.
"My precious object… should be this."
A necklace.
Hanging from it—
was a cross-shaped pendant.
Tsuna recognized it instantly.
It was a Quincy Cross.
Masaki's Quincy Cross.
After losing her powers, Masaki had given it to Ichigo as a protective charm.
