Chapter 25 - The “Death” of Sawada Tsunayoshi?

"So the idiot Kensei actually used Bankai?"

The first person to arrive was naturally the fastest—Kuna Mashiro. She flashed over beside Hirako Shinji with Shunpo, immediately complaining.

"Baldy, is that an enemy?"

The rude remark came from the blonde, loli-looking Sarugaki Hiyori, who already had her Zanpakutō in hand, ready to support Muguruma Kensei at any moment.

"Hiyori, Shinji hasn't made a move yet," said Yadōmaru Lisa, the calm, braid-haired woman in a sailor uniform. She could tell at a glance that Shinji was simply watching the show.

"Picking a fight with a child isn't very gentlemanly, you know," commented the golden-haired man dressed like a British noble—Ōtoribashi Rōjūrō.

"Rose, that level of Reiatsu isn't coming from any ordinary kid," replied Aikawa Love, the afro-haired man in a tracksuit. "Rose" was their nickname for Rōjūrō.

"Long time no see, Lord Tsukabishi Tessai," said Hachigen Ushōda politely. In the past he had been Vice-Commander of the Kidō Corps, so he greeted the former Corps Commander with proper respect.

Kensei's Bankai

Attention returned to Kensei.

After releasing Bankai, he now wielded a pair of serrated knuckle blades. Gray tank-like treads wrapped around his arms, extending up to his shoulders and trailing behind him like ribbons. Armor protruded from his back.

This was Bankai — Tekken Tachikaze.

"Hm… so your combat power should finally be about six Kenseis now, right?" Tsuna muttered.

Kensei's ears twitched.

He didn't understand what Tsuna meant by "six Kenseis," but he could tell it definitely wasn't a compliment. Combined with Tsuna repeatedly mentioning Hollowfication, every sentence felt like stepping directly on his emotional landmines.

"Kid—don't die!" Kensei warned.

Then he vanished with Shunpo, appearing in front of Tsuna.

His fist drove straight toward Tsuna's abdomen.

Just one punch—that was all he needed to knock this arrogant brat down.

Kensei had absolute confidence in that.

His Bankai: Tekken Tachikaze could inject explosive wind energy directly into the opponent's body. As long as he wished, the explosive force could accumulate endlessly inside the enemy before detonating.

In theory, a Bankai this dangerous shouldn't be used against someone who wasn't a confirmed enemy.

But Tsuna had been provoking him nonstop.

"It's Over"

Watching from the sidelines, many of the Visored instinctively thought the same word:

It's over.

Even Hiyori closed her eyes, unwilling to watch the outsider—who looked about her age—explode into pieces.

Hachigen had already prepared Kaido in advance.

Among everyone present, only Tessai remained calm.

He was one of the few who had already witnessed Sawada Tsunayoshi's true power.

Tsuna had long since mastered Bankai himself.

Tsuna's Bankai

Just as Kensei's fist was about to land—

A calm voice sounded.

"Bankai."

"Shatter adversity, illuminate the earth — Sun."

Blazing Sun Flames erupted instantly, engulfing both Tsuna and Kensei.

Inside the flames, Kensei's punch was stopped by a red boxing glove.

Kensei looked up.

Tsuna's appearance had completely changed.

Red full-coverage boxing gloves

Golden armor guards on his forearms, legs, and forehead

His upper Shihakushō burned away under the intense flames, revealing a muscular torso

On Tsuna's left arm, a bracelet appeared.

Ten small flame rings circled the band, with the Vongola crest (VG) at the center.

This was Tsuna's Sun-attribute Bankai:

Vongola Gear — Sun Bracelet Ver. X

Boxer vs Boxer

"Now this is more like it!" Kensei laughed.

Not at all disappointed that his punch had been blocked.

Seeing Tsuna take this form—looking exactly like a modern boxer—only made the fight more exciting.

He stepped back slightly and began unleashing a barrage of punches.

Tsuna answered with punches of his own.

The clash of fists became faster and faster.

Soon—

Kensei realized he was struggling to keep up.

This was part of Tsuna's Bankai power:

The hyper-activation of Sun Flames.

By accelerating the body's cellular activity, Tsuna's physical strength and speed skyrocketed.

Extreme Combo!

Kensei didn't know Tsuna's Bankai abilities, but he forced himself to keep up anyway.

Whenever he couldn't block a punch, he used the armored treads on his arms to absorb the blows.

Even while getting hit, he kept taunting Tsuna.

"Give it up, kid! Your punches can't possibly be stronger than mine!"

Just as Tsuna was about to reply—

A surge of blood rushed up his throat.

He forced the pain down, but a line of blood still slipped from the corner of his mouth.

"Kid!" Kensei shouted.

"My Tekken Tachikaze stores explosive power inside your body! I've already accumulated a terrifying amount inside you!"

"At any moment, you could explode!"

"You've already lost!"

Tsuna pressed down the pain in his abdomen and replied:

"Do you guys always like sharing your abilities with your enemies?"

The Explosion

Kensei's smile faded.

"Then I'll end this with one punch!"

Now completely caught up in the fight, Kensei forgot his earlier hesitation about using Bankai.

He endured Tsuna's rain-like punches and drove one heavy blow into Tsuna's abdomen.

The instant his fist connected—

He detonated the explosive energy stored inside Tsuna's body.

BOOM!

Violent Reiatsu exploded from inside Tsuna.

In front of everyone's stunned eyes—

Tsuna's body was blown completely through.

Blood sprayed everywhere.

A hole the size of a dinner plate appeared in his abdomen.

The Visored Panic

"This is bad! Hachi—save him!" Shinji shouted immediately.

"Rose, pull Kensei away!"

"That bald idiot went too far!" Hiyori yelled, already charging forward with her slipper raised like a weapon.

"Idiot. Someone died," Mashiro commented casually—while preparing a flying kick to launch Kensei away.

The rest of the Visored moved quickly into action.

Except—

They were suddenly stopped.

"Please wait," said Tessai.

"The battle isn't over yet."

Tessai Stops Them

"Tessai! If we wait any longer that kid will be dead!" Shinji snapped.

Originally he wouldn't have cared about Tsuna's life at all.

But after thinking about it earlier, Shinji realized something:

If Urahara had truly told Tsuna their information, Tsuna wouldn't have reversed Shinji's name when addressing him earlier.

That strange habit was Shinji's personal quirk—Urahara wouldn't bother sharing something so trivial.

Which meant Tsuna had learned their identities by himself.

That alone made Shinji decide the kid was worth saving.

Yet Tessai still stopped them.

Tessai didn't explain further.

The real reason was simple:

He didn't want the Visored to be caught in Tsuna's next attack.

His eyes remained fixed on Tsuna's blazing Sun Bracelet, shining like a miniature sun.

All ten flames on the bracelet were now fully lit.

During Tsuna's earlier Bankai training, he had intentionally taken damage to trigger a devastating finishing attack.

Tsuna's Counterattack

"So?" Kensei said coldly.

"Already done for?"

Despite his words, he was beginning to regret hitting too hard.

That wound—large enough to see straight through Tsuna's body—would cripple anyone.

"Defend."

Kensei blinked.

Did this badly wounded kid just tell him… to defend?

Before he could respond—

A terrifying concentration of Reiatsu gathered in Tsuna's fist.

Blinding light erupted around the red boxing glove.

Kensei's instincts screamed.

How was he supposed to defend against that?

He barely managed to cross his arms in front of his chest—

Just as Tsuna's fist struck.

CRACK.

Two faint breaking sounds echoed.

"Sunlight Counterattack!"

The massive Reiatsu crashed into Kensei.

He couldn't resist it at all.

The explosion of blazing sunlight launched him away—

Vanishing instantly from sight.

BOOOOOOM!!!

A distant crash echoed from deep within the warehouse.

Hachigen's face changed dramatically.

"The barrier—!"

The barrier he had constructed was damaged.

He quickly formed hand seals to repair it—

But someone moved even faster.

Tessai.

He had already prepared a reinforcement Kidō barrier.

With Tessai stabilizing the structure, the shaking warehouse finally settled.

Hachigen exhaled slowly.

For some reason…

It almost felt like Tessai had come here specifically to reinforce the barrier.

The Truth

Shinji appeared beside Tsuna in a flash.

"Kid, that was excessive," he said.

"This kind of mutual destruction could've been avoided."

"Mutual destruction?" Tsuna replied with a smile.

"I don't understand what you mean."

Shinji stared.

The enormous hole in Tsuna's abdomen—

Had completely vanished.

Thin wisps of steam rose from the healing wound.

The massive injury had already closed.

Soon it would disappear entirely.

Which meant—

There had never been any "mutual destruction."

Tsuna possessed regeneration.

The only one truly injured…

Was Muguruma Kensei, who had taken Tsuna's full counterattack without any healing ability.
