Chapter 26 - Hollowfication, Rampage

Swish—swish—swish.

Several figures appeared beside Sawada Tsunayoshi. Aside from Kuna Mashiro and Hachigen Ushōda, the remaining Visored surrounded Tsuna. Each of them drew their Zanpakutō, pointing their blades directly at him.

"Oh? You all want to fight too?" Tsuna said with a smile. "I can oblige."

"Can't be helped, kid. Even the boss has to listen to the team."

Hirako Shinji pressed down the small felt hat on his head and slowly drew his Zanpakutō. The meaning was obvious—the Visored intended to help Muguruma Kensei recover his dignity.

"Who are you calling the boss, baldy?!"

Sarugaki Hiyori cursed at Shinji in dissatisfaction. Still, considering the situation, she resisted the urge to smack him with her slipper.

"Enough chatter." Shinji pointed his sword at Tsuna.

"Just surrender. As long as Kensei is fine, we won't hurt you."

Mashiro and Hachigen had gone to check Kensei's condition. News should return soon.

"Relax. Kensei should be fine. I only used less than half my strength."

Tsuna tilted his head toward his left arm.

Only then did Shinji notice that the sun-like disk on Tsuna's arm still held more than half its flames. Out of ten blazing torches, Tsuna had only used four—yet Kensei had already been blasted so far away he vanished from sight.

"As for surrender…" Tsuna stepped forward reluctantly.

"I was actually looking forward to seeing your Hollowfication."

The moment he moved, the Visored immediately became alert.

Everyone knew Tsuna still possessed more than half his power. Even Kensei's Bankai hadn't withstood him. The remaining strength Tsuna held was dangerous for anyone present.

Shinji reacted even more intensely.

He had personally witnessed Tsuna's injuries instantly regenerate, meaning ordinary damage was almost useless against him.

Shinji reversed his Zanpakutō and muttered:

"Collapse… Sakanade."

A palm-sized ring appeared at the hilt of his blade. Five circular holes lined the sword's body. Hooking a finger through the ring, Shinji began spinning Sakanade.

A strange fragrance entered Tsuna's nose.

The next moment—

The entire world flipped upside down.

Sky and earth reversed. The Visored stood upside down in the sky, staring down at Tsuna.

A completely inverted world.

"You were able to read my name backwards, so you probably understand my ability," Shinji said while casually walking across the sky.

"Welcome to the inverted world."

"Until we confirm Kensei's condition, you'll just stay here—"

Before he could finish speaking—

BAM!

Shinji's face suddenly twisted as if struck by a massive blow. Blood burst from his mouth as he was sent plummeting from the sky.

Tsuna's vision shifted again.

The inverted world returned to normal. The Visored still stood around him.

And the falling Shinji had clearly been sent flying by Tsuna's punch.

Shinji flipped midair and landed gracefully, wiping blood from his lips.

"How is that possible?"

"Baldy, your illusion got seen through," Hiyori mocked mercilessly.

"I told you that little trick wouldn't work."

She raised her serrated Zanpakutō.

"Just attack directly. Crush it, Kubikiri Orochi!"

Unlike Shinji's strange Sakanade, Hiyori's Zanpakutō was a straightforward offensive weapon.

"Just instinct," Tsuna said calmly.

When Shinji had been walking upside down earlier, Tsuna had already sensed him moving close.

Seeing that only Shinji himself was acting, Tsuna had simply punched him without hesitation.

Shinji was still pondering how Tsuna saw through the illusion when the hot-tempered Hiyori charged with her blade.

Yadōmaru Lisa, Ōtoribashi Rōjūrō (Rose), and Aikawa Love immediately followed.

No matter what, they couldn't allow a mere former lieutenant like Hiyori to challenge Bankai-state Tsuna alone.

But the moment the Visored moved—

They suddenly stopped.

Each tilted their heads, listening.

Tsuna sensed the fluctuation of Hachigen's Reiatsu and immediately understood.

Bakudō #77 — Tenteikūra.

Also jokingly known as the "spiritual loudspeaker." A communication Kidō.

Hachigen must have confirmed Kensei's condition.

After hearing the message, every Visored's expression changed drastically.

Anxiety and urgency filled their faces.

Hiyori shouted first:

"Go help! That baldy Kensei's Hollowfication is running wild!"

Instantly, every Visored turned away from Tsuna and rushed toward the direction of the transmitted message.

From deep within the warehouse, Kensei's violent Reiatsu erupted.

Through Hiyori's words, Tsuna quickly understood the situation.

Most likely, when Kensei tried to withstand Tsuna's Sunlight Counterattack, the Hollow power inside him had erupted to protect him and heal his injuries.

But the exact cause of the rampage remained unclear.

Was it because his injuries were too severe?

Or because Kensei had exhausted too much Reiatsu and could no longer suppress the Hollow within?

Or perhaps—

He simply had never mastered Hollowfication while in Bankai.

Tsuna's interest immediately surged.

After all, he had come specifically to observe how other Visored used Hollowfication.

"Hollowfication?" Tsuna grinned.

"Perfect!"

"Wait!" Shinji shouted.

He wanted to stop Tsuna. The last thing he needed was an outsider causing more chaos.

But before the words left his mouth—

Tsuna had already vanished.

Shinji froze.

He hadn't even seen Tsuna move.

What was that?

Shunpo?

No… it resembled Shunpo, but wasn't quite the same.

Worse yet—

Shinji realized his own Shunpo couldn't catch up.

Meaning Tsuna could probably defeat them using speed alone.

Suppressing that realization, Shinji chased after him.

No matter what, they had to restrain Kensei first.

If that Sawada brat accidentally killed him, things would be disastrous.

Deep within the warehouse—

A white humanoid monster rampaged, destroying everything around it.

If not for the fist blades still clutched in its hands and the ribbon-like decorations behind it, no one would have recognized it as Muguruma Kensei.

Just as Tsuna predicted—

Kensei had entered Hollowfication while in Bankai, resulting in a complete loss of control.

Nearby stood a green-haired girl in a tight suit wearing a Hollow mask.

Kuna Mashiro had also activated Hollowfication.

She repeatedly struck heroic poses while trying to stop Kensei—

But the difference in strength was too great.

She couldn't even get close.

Hachigen had just erected a Kidō barrier in front of Mashiro to block Kensei's attack.

It shattered instantly.

Like tofu.

The fist blade touched it—

—and the barrier exploded.

Hachigen had considered binding Kensei with Bakudō, but the rampaging Kensei had not only tremendous strength—

His movement style now combined Shunpo with a trace of Sonído-like speed, making him extremely slippery and difficult to restrain.

Just as Tsuna arrived, he saw Mashiro and Hachigen being chased down by the rampaging Kensei.

Without hesitation—

Tsuna flashed forward with Shunpo, appearing in front of Mashiro and raising his hand to block Kensei's attack.

"You—!"

Mashiro was about to question him—the very person responsible for this mess.

But Tsuna replied first:

"Shinji and the others are coming. I'll handle this for now."

Ignoring Mashiro afterward, Tsuna activated the propulsion jets under his boots, exchanging blows with the Hollowfied Kensei while gradually drawing his attention away.

Power.

Speed.

Both had increased drastically.

Tsuna evaluated calmly while blocking Kensei's punches.

Each blow also carried terrifying explosive force, forcing Tsuna to expend one flame from his bracelet to heal the damage he sustained.

However—

Each injury also ignited new flames.

During the battle, the flames on Tsuna's bracelet unexpectedly reached a delicate equilibrium.

Tsuna could clearly tell that this Hollowfied Kensei wielded Tekken Tachikaze far better than Kensei normally did.

Every strike unleashed enormous destructive power.

If Kensei were conscious, Tsuna wouldn't feel this much pressure.

By Tsuna's estimation—

The Hollowfied Kensei's strength was roughly at the level of a Captain-class fighter or higher.

"That guy!"

Just then, Shinji and the others arrived.

They immediately saw Kensei locked in combat with Tsuna.

Even they had never seen Kensei Hollowfied while using Bankai.

At most, they had seen him Hollowfy during Shikai.

Because they understood how terrifying Hollowfication was, they had never dared attempt it in Bankai.

"Sawada brat!" Shinji shouted.

"Keep him occupied! We'll restrain Kensei!"

Under Shinji's command, every Visored began casting Bakudō, whether they were skilled in Kidō or not.

"Bakudō #30 — Shitotsu Sansen!

Bakudō #4 — Hainawa!

Bakudō #61 — Rikujōkōrō! ×2

Bakudō #63 — Sajō Sabaku!

Bakudō #75 — Gochūtekkan!"

Six binding spells fired simultaneously.

For speed, all of them abandoned incantations.

Tsuna cooperated, boosting backward with his jets so the Kidō could strike Kensei.

Why did Tsuna allow them to interfere?

Because he felt this level of Bakudō couldn't possibly restrain Kensei.

From their earlier clash, Tsuna could sense—

Kensei's power was still increasing.

One after another, the Kidō bindings wrapped around Kensei.

Then five enormous iron pillars descended from the sky, pinning his limbs to the ground.

At first glance, Kensei seemed completely subdued.

"So what's your plan now?" Tsuna asked curiously.

"We wait for Kensei to regain consciousness," Shinji replied.

"He's experienced Hollowfication before. He should wake up soon."

That was how the Visored mastered their power.

If they endured it—

They controlled the Hollow.

If they failed—

They became Hollows and had to be killed.

"Really?" Tsuna said.

"I don't think so."

He pointed at Kensei.

More and more white Hollow matter spread across Kensei's arms, slowly enveloping his fist blades.

At this rate—

Even his Bankai would be swallowed by Hollowfication.

"That doesn't look good…" Shinji muttered.

Kensei's Reiatsu grew increasingly violent.

Even the five iron pillars began shaking.

"Hiyori! Go get Urahara Kisuke immediately!"

"Why me, baldy?!" Hiyori snapped.

"Because your Bakudō is the worst! Hurry! If this continues, Kensei's finished!" Shinji shouted.

He immediately added two more Bakudō to reinforce the restraints.
