Chapter 11 - The Billionaire's contact Bride.

When Ella's father died, her life turned into a nightmare.

Her stepmother took control of everything — the house, the money, even her father's company shares. Ella was left with nothing but a tiny attic room and endless chores.

"You should be grateful we let you stay," her stepsister sneered.

Ella stayed silent.

She had one dream — to escape.

One night, the city buzzed with news.

Adrian Knight.

The youngest billionaire CEO in the country.

Cold. Ruthless. Untouchable.

He announced he would attend a charity gala — and rumors spread that he was looking for a bride.

Not for love.

For business.

A contract marriage.

Ella's stepsister desperately wanted to attend the gala, hoping to catch Adrian's attention. But Ella secretly received an invitation too — from her late father's old lawyer.

"You still legally own 20% of your father's shares," the lawyer revealed.

"And Mr. Knight wants those shares for a merger."

Ella froze.

"What does that have to do with me?"

"He wants to marry you."

At the gala, Ella wore a simple silver dress. No designer label. No diamonds.

Yet when she entered the hall, Adrian Knight's eyes locked onto her.

He walked straight toward her.

"You're late," he said calmly.

"You knew I'd come?"

"I always get what I want."

Inside a private room, Adrian placed a contract on the table.

"Two years. Public marriage. No love. No interference in my business. In return, I'll restore your inheritance and protect you from your stepfamily."

Ella stared at the paper.

"You don't believe in love?" she asked.

Adrian's expression hardened.

"Love is a liability."

She should have refused.

But she needed freedom.

She signed.

The media exploded the next morning.

"Billionaire Marries Unknown Girl!"

Her stepsister nearly fainted seeing the news.

But life inside Adrian's mansion wasn't easy.

He was distant. Controlled. Emotionless.

They lived in the same house — but like strangers.

Until one night, Ella overheard board members planning to betray Adrian and steal the company.

Without hesitation, she warned him.

"Why help me?" he asked quietly.

"Because we're partners," she replied.

For the first time, something in his cold eyes softened.

Months passed.

The fake smiles became real laughter.

The staged hand-holding became natural.

And one evening, when Ella prepared to move into the guest room as written in the contract, Adrian grabbed her wrist gently.

"Stay."

"That's not in the contract," she whispered.

He looked at her — not as a business partner.

Not as an asset.

But as a woman.

"Then let's rewrite it."

On the night their contract expired, Ella packed her suitcase.

"You're free now," Adrian said quietly.

She forced a smile. "That was the deal."

She turned to leave.

But he pulled her back.

"I signed that contract because I didn't believe in love," he admitted.

"But somewhere between fake vows and real fights… I fell for you."

Her eyes filled with tears.

"So this isn't business?" she asked softly.

"No," he said.

"This is the only thing in my life that isn't."

And for the first time, the billionaire who feared love chose it.

Not because it was profitable.

But because she was worth the risk.
