Aijira stared at the little girl on the ground, the telescope she was holding had fallen on the ground. The little girl was in shock for a moment, before looking up to Aijira.
Aijira turned to look down and stared at the little girl.
"..."
"..."
They both just stared at each other silently.
"..."
"..."
Both of them still observing each other.
"..."
"..."
Still doing it.
"..."
"..."
Still, doing it...
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
...
"..."
"...."
"..."
"....."
"..."
"...."
Only when a full 15 MINUTES went by did the little girl cough up and glared at the random woman that bumped onto her.
"Not even having the slightest intentions of helping a royal princess up after bumping into her, what kind of servant even are you?" The little girl held out her hand and looked up at Aijira with a frown.
Aijira stared at her for a moment, then turned to the door to Malik's room before looking back down and coughed awkwardly.
She bent down and grabbed the little girl by the armpits and put her down gently, Aijira then patted her clothes to clean her up before taking a step back and bowed in a curt.
"I apologize, your royal highness."
The little girl looked at her, then touched her shoulder before saying, "Touching a private body part of a Royal without permission could get you and your entire family executed."
Aijira flinched, then smiled, "My apologies, i just remembered that i didn't introduce myself. I am Aijira Falkncast of the Falkncast Duchy and consort of the Imperial Emperor. I didn't expect to meet your royal highness here in this hall.."
Aijira spoke as she silently opened her eyes, observing the little girl. Golden hair, a trademark attribute for those of royal blood, the little girl's hair was short, just right on her shoulder.
Wearing what Aijira presumed to be a lab coat, and a swirly yellow dress underneath.
But that wasn't what Aijira focused on. She focused on the color of the eyes of the little girl infront of her.
It was known that any of royal blood, somehow possesses Golden Hair. No matter how diluted the blood was, if there was a hint of Bethasdore in the blood, then the child's hair color will always turn Golden.
There were some cases where the hair color of some children of royal blood wasn't of the Golden hue, but even that disappeared as their hair turns Golden as they grow older.
It was a phenomena that many had tried to explain but the most widely accepted explanation to the phenomenon was that the blood of the first Bethasdore was so strong, so immensely more superior than other bloods, that when it was time to pass on the genes to the child, most of it would always be of the Bethasdore.
But there was one that which the Bethasdore always refuses to take on was the eyes of the children. Each children of royal blood always had the eyes of the husband or the wife of the Bethasdore.
The child had black eyes. If Malik had those deep crimson red eyes, one he inherited from his mother, this one had black.
Then this meant that this child was the 6th Imperial Princess. Princess Hyuda Devoncris Bethasdore. The genius on par with the 2nd Imperial Princess in terms of research and invention prowess.
If the 2nd Princess was more interested in biological research of all life matter in the world, then Princess Hyuda was more on inventing objects, weaponry and such.
She was famed for holding an academic meeting between famous inventors of the world and all of them gave an almost positive response when they were told to give their thoughts about the 6th Imperial Princess.
Aijira bowed down and spoke, "I greet the Sixth Imperial Princess."
Hyuda stared at her for a moment, before shaking her head and grabbed the telescope from the floor and left Aijira still bowing down. She knocked on Malik's door, which it opened and a black hand grabbed the telescope from her hands.
Aijira observed that and couldn't help but be surprised.
After all, that hand was made out of Ari, not like those who uses spells to conjure a hand, it was a full on manipulation if the energy called Ari.
Is the tyrant an archmage? She thought to herself as she watched Hyuda let out a yawn and went away.
"..."
Aijira's eyes slowly panned to Malik's door and narrowed into a slit, she stared at it for a moment.
I...I can't sense anything inside.. Nothing. Not even the tyrant's presence... Aijira pursed her lips, before turning heels.
No matter. Even if he was an archmage, or a saint, change must happen to this empire.
Aijira walked back towards the throne hall.
***
Malik pursed his lips, his face frowning as he felt a sensation, a sensation of someone, or something watching him. No, watching his entire room.
Is it an outer being? No, this sensation doesn't match theirs, a fellow mortal like me then? But who?
He thought to himself as the entire room was clad in darkness, shadows slithered around the room as it covered anything that could bring out light.
Malik walked to the door, and just as he was about to open it, he felt the sensation leave. As if it didn't find what it was looking for.
Malik's eyes narrowed into a slit.
Some kind of trespasser? Someone of high level too.
Clicking his tongue, Malik didn't open the door and went back to his desk.
I swear to the Goddess, those knights are getting rusty in skill. I might have to make them go on a trip and retrain them....
Malik softly shook his head side to side and focused on the equipment that his little sister had made for him. It was a telescope that could change its size, and the bigger the size, the farther Malik would be able to see.
It was a tool that could help him immensely in his research.
Malik admired his little sister's craft for a moment, before he started tinkering on it.
