Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 – The Adventurer Inn

The Adventurer Guild is the central organization that manages all adventurers within the city.

It assigns missions, regulates ranks, and controls access to dangerous areas such as the Outskirts and the Deadlands.

To the public, the Guild represents order, protection, and opportunity—a place where individuals can rise in status through strength and skill.

Adventurers gather there to accept quests, sell monster cores, and grow stronger.

For many, it is more than just an organization.

It is a second chance at life.

Ranking System

F → E → D → C → B → A → S

Each rank represents a vast difference in strength, experience, and authority.

An F-rank adventurer struggle to survive a single Rift encounter…

While an S-rank could stand against disasters that threaten entire cities.

The higher the rank, the greater the rewards—

and the greater the danger.

After leaving home, I went to Kael's house.

"I won't be going to school today," I told him. "I need to buy medicine for my parents."

It wasn't a complete lie.

He simply nodded, not asking further questions.

That made things easier.

Not long after, I boarded a mana bus heading toward the Adventurer Inn, one of the Guild's branch facilities.

It was located near the southern edge of Eldoria.

Close to the Deadlands.

A place most normal people would avoid.

I sat by the window, watching as the city slowly changed.

At first, everything looked normal.

Clean streets.

Organized buildings.

People going about their daily lives.

Safe.

Protected.

But the farther we traveled…

the more that image began to crack.

The buildings became older, rougher.

Shops turned into weapon stores.

People started carrying swords, daggers, and even heavy armor.

Some had visible scars.

Others had cold, unreadable expressions.

These weren't ordinary citizens.

They were fighters.

Survivors.

"…So this is the real Eldoria."

Eventually, the bus came to a stop.

"This is your stop," the driver said.

I leaned back slightly.

This side of the city felt different.

Heavier.

Like danger was always just one step away.

The fare was expensive.

Twenty dollars.

For someone like me, that wasn't a small amount.

But I still paid without hesitation.

Because out here—

safety wasn't optional.

I stepped off.

The moment my feet touched the ground, a completely different world opened before me.

The streets were alive—

not in a peaceful way,

but in a chaotic, energetic one.

Stalls lined both sides of the road.

"Fresh monster meat! Just hunted this morning!"

"High-quality mana potions! Limited stock!"

"Steel blades! Enchanted edges! Guaranteed sharpness!"

Weapons, artifacts, potions, armor, accessories—

Everything an adventurer could need was here.

I walked deeper into the area, scanning my surroundings.

"…Where exactly is the Adventurer Inn?"

Not far ahead, I noticed a woman standing near a stall, organizing several potion bottles.

She looked like a local vendor.

I approached her.

"Excuse me," I said. "Do you know where the Adventurer Inn is?"

She glanced at me briefly, then pointed down the street.

"Straight ahead," she replied. "You'll see a large three-story building at the end. You can't miss it."

"Thank you."

I followed her directions.

Step by step, the crowd grew thicker.

The noise louder.

The atmosphere heavier.

After walking for several minutes, I finally saw it.

The Adventurer Inn.

A large, three-story building stood at the end of the street.

It wasn't flashy.

But it was imposing.

The walls were thick.

The structure solid.

It felt like a place that had endured countless battles—and would continue to stand no matter what.

The moment I entered—

Noise filled the entire hall.

It was loud.

Very loud.

Adventurers were everywhere.

Talking, laughing, shouting.

Some were drinking.

Some were arguing.

Others were boasting about their recent hunts.

The atmosphere was chaotic…

but alive.

Then, I saw someone familiar.

A man my mother knew.

My friend's father.

I glanced around for a moment—

but his son wasn't there.

"…He's probably still at school."

That made sense. He was a year above me, but classes were still ongoing today.

I raised my hand and called out.

"Uncle!"
