After Misaki and Yui's silhouettes disappeared into the descending elevator toward their chosen residence, the sky outside was thoroughly soaked in ink, the last traces of the sunset swallowed by the dark.
Su Mu let out a long, relaxed breath. Under the attentive care of March 7th, Himeko, and Fu Hua, he finished washing up, shedding the day's fatigue. He climbed into the large, soft bed, surrounded by warmth and tenderness, and soon drifted into a deep sleep accompanied by the quiet night.
The next morning, as the first light of dawn filtered through the apartment's specialized glass windows and touched the edge of the bed, Su Mu slowly opened his eyes.
For a moment, as his consciousness returned, a lingering sense of daze remained. He reached out to stroke the fluffy quilt beneath him, realizing with clarity that everything from the previous night wasn't a dream. The warm companionship and the miraculous encounters were all a vivid reality.
On the oversized bed, March 7th, Himeko, and Fu Hua were waking him up exactly as he had envisioned. The scenes he had once only fantasized about had become his reality at this moment.
Su Mu couldn't help but curl his lips into a smile, sighing inwardly—as expected, he really knew himself best.
He followed his body's instincts and engaged in a brief "morning workout" before finally getting up. After washing up and changing into comfortable cotton clothes, the sunlight happened to fill the room. The new day began in such a cozy manner.
"Main Body! Main Body! I discovered a hidden usage for the new apartment functions!"
At that moment, March 7th's voice rang out with a chirpy sweetness, like a bird hopping through a forest. Simultaneously, her thoughts flowed unimpeded into Su Mu's mind, carrying an excitement she couldn't hide.
Su Mu's pupils shrank slightly. Following the train of thought March 7th had shared, he pondered for a moment. His eyes widened in surprise and delight. "It... it can actually do that?!"
Unable to contain his curiosity, he decided to try it immediately. With a single thought, his Administrator Authority took effect.
In the next second, the room—originally filled with exquisite furniture—underwent a sudden transformation. The sofas, beds, tables, and chairs all vanished, replaced by an endless, emerald-green prairie. The wind carried the fresh scent of grass across his face, and clusters of unknown wildflowers dotted the distance. The blue sky and white clouds hung low, looking as though one could touch them by simply reaching out.
This was March 7th's new discovery.
Previously, when Su Mu used the customization feature, he had always limited himself to the original physical boundaries of the room. He had never considered breaking physical constraints to expand the space infinitely.
The scene before him proved that not only was it possible, but it could be taken to the extreme. Never mind a prairie; even customizing an infinite universe filled with stars would not be difficult.
Even more miraculous was that while the interior space was infinitely expanded, the exterior of the apartment still looked like the original top floor, attracting no unwanted attention.
This was all thanks to the Administrator's exclusive free permissions. If a regular tenant or employee wanted to turn their room into a universe, the required Gold Coins would be an astronomical figure. For Su Mu, it was just a free thought away.
Himeko walked slowly across the soft grass, her fingertips brushing against the blades as she felt the warm breeze and the breath of nature. Her smile grew softer. "This way, our daily activities can be done right here in the room. We won't be confined to a small space anymore."
Fu Hua raised her hand and threw a light punch, her eyes showing a hint of satisfaction. "Indeed. From now on, my daily training won't be restricted to that small gym. There is enough space here to truly move."
March 7th skipped across the grass, her eyes sparkling as she made a suggestion. "Since we can expand it infinitely, can we set it to look like game maps? That way, we can have an immersive experience of game scenery in real life!"
Before she even finished speaking, she took the initiative to use the permissions. The surroundings shifted and blurred instantly.
The prairie receded, replaced by the interior of the Astral Express. Familiar seats lined the sides, and outside the windows was a brilliant, boundless starry sky. Nebulas flowed and stars flickered, making it feel as if they were truly aboard a train traversing the cosmos.
"The interior of the Astral Express?" Su Mu spoke softly, his gaze sweeping over the familiar decor.
"Exactly, exactly!" March 7th smiled, her eyes curving like crescents. She waved her hand again, and the scene switched once more to the core area of the Herta Space Station—cold metal walls and flickering blue data streams, saturated with a heavy sci-fi atmosphere.
Seeing this, Su Mu let out a soft sigh. "Hmm... the high-tech style feels a bit oppressive after a while..."
As he spoke, the scene changed again. The sci-fi elements faded away, transforming into a vast prairie and a dense forest. In the distance, one could even see a cerulean coastline. A sea breeze carrying a hint of salt mixed with the freshness of grass and wood, blowing gently to dissipate the previous gloom, instantly lifting everyone's spirits.
"Let's stick with this style for now."
Su Mu nodded in satisfaction. Once the room settings were finalized, he flicked his finger, and a virtual screen appeared before him. Using his Administrator Authority, he could monitor the situation inside and outside the apartment at any time. His gaze first landed on the room occupied by Misaki and Yui.
On the screen, the two had already woken up. They were huddled around a small dining table, sharing the leftover cake they had brought back yesterday.
Seeing them swallowing small bites with faces full of contentment, Su Mu suddenly remembered that the tenant rooms only provided an unlimited supply of electricity, water, gas, and internet—they did not come with initial food supplies.
Furthermore, for tenants to pay their rent, they had to go out and hunt monsters to earn Gold Coins. As ordinary people with no weapons and zero combat experience, they would likely struggle against even the weakest Goblin, let alone stronger monsters.
Su Mu mused to himself. It seemed he would have to look after them a bit during the early stages to help them through this hurdle.
He opened the Apartment Store and quickly purchased several steaming breakfast items—soft bread, warm soy milk, and golden fried eggs. He then handed the food to March 7th.
"March, take this breakfast to them. Tell them that once they've eaten, they should wait at the first-floor elevator. You'll take them out for their first hunt. Help them gain at least a few levels so they can handle F-rank monsters on their own."
"Understood!"
March 7th agreed readily. Taking the breakfast, her figure flickered and vanished. Using her Administrator permissions, she teleported directly into Misaki and Yui's room.
