Episode 31: Echoes of the Morningstar
February 3, 6078 – Two Months After the Fall of The Blank
The world had changed.
Bangu was still missing. No body. No trace. Just an empty locker at Willowbrook High and a faded photo on Wyatt's desk.
The Guardians of Destiny Society had grown. Five new recruits stood with the core members in their new Zimbabwe headquarters:
Rona, the incubus, now wearing tactical gear instead of silk, his playful nature hardened by loss. Cryogenesis, the living ice being who had frozen half the Helsing helicopters. Garcia Fernandez, former Big Five member, his razor claws now turned against his old master. Gillan Dahmer, the cultist who had betrayed Dogder in the final hour. Ace, a hyena-like Wrathborn with insane flexibility and predatory cunning.
Sasha Moya stood before a newly unveiled statue of her brother in the courtyard. Nathan Moya — forever captured in bronze, mid-illusion, protecting the innocent.
Flashback – December 26, 6077
A portal to Hell had torn open above the battlefield. Kevin was moments from death when Peter dragged him back. The rift widened. A colossal hell-beast nearly escaped into the mortal world.
Nathan looked at his friends one last time. "Protect them."
He merged his entire being with the portal, detonating his Glimmer in a cataclysmic explosion of illusions and reality itself. The portal collapsed. Nathan Moya was gone.
Sasha had never been the same. She continued recruiting, but her eyes carried permanent grief.
Present Day – Willowbrook High
Kevin and Wyatt tried to live normal lives. They attended classes, laughed with Bangu's empty seat, and pretended the world wasn't watching.
But strange things were happening.
Missing students. Dead teachers. Bloody symbols carved into lockers. Something ancient and hateful was stirring.
The Morningstar Tragedy
Ten years ago, in a hidden clan estate, the Morningstar family ruled with iron and hypocrisy.
Regatoi Morningstar had two sons: Michael Morningstar (Angel Glimmer — wings of pure light ) and Lucifer Morningstar (Demon Glimmer — horns of rebellion).
The entire clan despised Lucifer. His mother beat him when Regatoi wasn't looking. His cousins, Lisa and Sama, abused him physically, sexually, and emotionally for years. Only his father and brother truly loved him.
One night, Michael, heartbroken by his brother's suffering, whispered, "We're running away together."
They were caught.
Sama and Lisa dragged them before Regatoi's older brother, Arrangement Morningstar. Lucifer's mother accused him of corrupting Michael. Michael tried to defend his brother, but Lucifer hugged him gently and whispered, "It's going to be okay, big brother."
Arrangement, terrified of his wife (Lucifer's mother's sister), sentenced Lucifer to Hell.
Regatoi screamed in fury. Michael fought desperately. But the guards dragged Lucifer away.
As he fell through the portal, hellfire burned his body, leaving him scarred and broken. A young boy with burning eyes caught him — Satan.
Satan took him home. There, Lucifer met Vera and Rona. Vera tried to seduce him immediately, but Satan and Elios became his true brothers. He trained relentlessly, making friends with Mammon, Beelzebub, and many others who looked nothing like humans — yet accepted him completely.
Back in the mortal world, Regatoi demanded divorce. His wife stabbed him in front of Michael. Michael locked himself in his room. His mother broke down the door with a machete, stabbing the closet where he hid — eight times in the body, once across the right side of his face. Michael died screaming.
His mother's sister covered up both murders.
Michael woke in Heaven. A divine voice spoke: "You have been chosen as Lord of Heaven and Virtue of Selflessness."
Michael asked through tears, "Why didn't I go with my brother?"
"The flames of Hell engulfed him first."
In Hell, Lucifer trained until he became something greater. He opened a portal to bring his friends to freedom. The Morningstar Clan detected it. They massacred half the escaping hellbeings. Lucifer's youngest uncle, Himokado, was ordered to bomb the warehouse.
Lucifer begged for their lives. Himokado whispered, "I'm sorry, nephew," and detonated the explosives.
Lucifer was horrifically injured. His friends — Mammon, Beelzebub, and others — saved him. Satan lost a leg in the blast.
That day, Lucifer swore eternal vengeance on the Morningstar Clan.
He gifted his fifteen closest friends mantles of the Sins:
Mammon became Greed. Satan became Unforgiveness. Vera became Lust. Beelzebub became Sloth. And others claimed Envy, Vanity, and more.
Lucifer himself took Ego — the sin of putting himself and his chosen family first, above all else.
Present – February 3, 6078
Kevin stood before Nathan's statue as snow fell gently. Wyatt placed a hand on his shoulder.
"We keep going," Kevin said quietly, the Matrix glowing softly beneath his jacket. "For Nathan. For everyone we've lost."
Somewhere in the shadows, a boy with burned skin and broken horns watched them — Lucifer Morningstar, waiting for the right moment to enter the war.
The Morningstar Clan had no idea what was coming.
