The screen shifted, displaying a series of interconnected diagrams.
"The ranks, as you know, are divided into distinct classes," Niexi continued. The screen presented a clear progression: **F → E → D → C → B → A → A+ → S → S+ → SS → SSS.**
"Currently," she paused, letting the weight of the hierarchy sink in, "this is the known class system for Rankers."
She tapped a control, and the display changed, showing a detailed, multi-tiered chart. "To ascend through these ranks, you must undergo breakthroughs. There are nine levels to master for each significant jump in power. Each level is further divided into **Early, Mid, and Peak** stages, according to your raw power and control. Reaching the peak of a level is not the end; it is merely the gateway to the next significant bottleneck, requiring a breakthrough to Level 2, and so on."
Niexi's expression grew serious. "Understand this: only a handful of masters across the globe have ever managed to break through Level 9. These are the top-tier Rankers, the pillars of our world. Breakthroughs are not easy. They demand immense resources, sharp intelligence, and a profound understanding of oneself. Each breakthrough is a trial, unique to the individual. Some pass, some fail, and some... lose their lives in the attempt."
She then pointed to a specific section on the screen. "**Crucially, whenever you reach a bottleneck between levels, you must enter the Advancement Trial Area Portal.** This portal leads to a specialized zone where you will receive quests to collect materials, battle creatures, and face various challenges tailored to your current progression. Approximately 70% of Rankers fail these trials, and some even die within them. This is a critical, and often deadly, stage of progression."
The screen then shifted to a vast, detailed world map. "This is our world map," Niexi announced. "Approximately 60% is populated and civilized, the rest is desolate. There are seven continents in the populated regions, and four desolate continents. These desolate lands are teeming with diverse species: monsters, demons, witches, and various humanoid animal-type creatures. Many walk on two legs, like us – goblins, orcs, spectral beings, skeletons, and countless others. Furthermore," she pointed to four distinct points on the desolate landmasses, "there are four Titan Portals. They are currently closed, their purpose and origin unknown. But when they open... no one can predict what will happened."
She looked at her students, her gaze sweeping over Lu Kai. "Your journey begins now. Your understanding of these fundamentals is the first step towards mastering them. Train diligently, Lu Kai, and all of you. The path ahead is long, and the challenges are immense."
