Chapter 25 - Entering the Special Space

Michael originally thought Glacior would sit there for a long time but didn't expect that in just a few seconds he stood up. His body looked a bit more stable but still seemed like someone on the verge of death.

"Huh? What is he planning to do? Is it because he knows he's about to die so he's not even bothering to try anymore?"

This strange behavior made someone like Michael, who doesn't understand anything about this world, feel extremely confused.

Third technique – Absolute Zero Seal!

Ice pillars rose from the ground in a completely illogical way and then gathered together to form the shape of a small ice block about five meters tall. Glacior grabbed a small piece of ice, sharpened it into a chisel, and began carving the ice block.

???

He's heavily injured but instead of healing, he's carving ice? Is this the soul of an artist disregarding their own life?

The more Michael watched, the more confused he felt about his actions. Since it had just started, he didn't know what shape Glacior was planning to carve.

Glacior carved lightly, looking like a normal touch, but a block of ice weighing several hundred pounds immediately fell off.

Michael watched with wide eyes in shock. He felt that even when he was at his healthiest using all his strength, he could never do something like that. Maybe it was due to technique issues, but strength also played a significant role.

"Demigods really are a bunch of monsters. From what I see, even if they're on the verge of death, a fully armed soldier would still die from one slap from them."

Most of the time Michael saw them using techniques, but the moments they fought with martial arts were no less terrifying. One normal punch from them was more than enough to blow away a tank.

Watching Glacior carve was also quite captivating. Michael felt like he was watching tutorial videos. But this tutorial was a bit fast. Before he could understand anything, he had already changed movements.

Soon Michael could clearly see it was a human figure and, more specifically, a woman. With this much data, it was enough for him to understand what Glacior was doing.

"Their relationship is really good. He's badly injured but still has the mind to make a statue for her. But maybe this is like a game to Glacior so it's not really difficult for him."

From what he saw, Glacior was really skilled with ice. When he had free time, he probably played with ice often, which was why his movements were so professional.

Not long after, Glacior stopped. The statue was mostly finished, but the level of detail wasn't high. But Michael was sure that anyone who knew Rias would recognize it immediately.

He also made her a gravestone while he was at it. Consider this a farewell gift he gave to her. Anyway, this was something he often did, so it wasn't too hard.

"This should do. I'm really tired right now so I won't do more. Who knows how long this statue will last?"

After saying that, he sat down, closed his eyes, and his whole body stayed still like a statue. It would probably take quite a while for him to wake up.

Raphael was also his friend, so logically he should make a statue too. But he thought Raphael still had a chance to live, so making a gravestone for him now felt like cursing him.

Michael observed that Glacior's mood was very complicated. There was some relief, but also regret. Yet he didn't cry. Instead, he smiled gently. In his opinion, the mindset of these people was truly admirable.

"Now there's probably nothing left to see. I reckon these guys will stay still for at least a few days. I don't have the time to sit here watching them with their eyes closed."

He felt that them lying in this desolate place wasn't really dangerous. In the past, there might've been some danger due to the existence of energy monsters, but now this place had become a dead zone.

Let alone energy monsters or other animals, there wasn't even a blade of grass to be seen. Ignivar's fire really burned thoroughly. It burned until the ground was barren with no signs of life.

Looking at the state of the battle, Michael immediately deduced that this world had no environmental protection laws. He felt that even if factories discharged waste into the environment, they probably wouldn't devastate the environment as much as when demigods occasionally fought each other.

"System, take me to that god."

[Are you prepared? If you don't communicate properly and fail to prove your own ability, you won't receive power from the god.]

???

What's that supposed to mean? Is this going to see a god or going to a job interview? Do gods even have this kind of interview thing too?

"I got nothing to prepare. Just go and meet directly. He's not the only god here anyway."

Genie was a god too, so he definitely wouldn't act lowly in front of other gods… Unless he got beaten badly, then maybe he would.

Since he said that, the system didn't have anything more to say. It directly threw Michael's soul to a special space.

The scenery before Michael suddenly changed without warning. It was still a vast area with unfamiliar mountains and forests. Maybe the only slight difference was that the plant sizes were a bit bigger.

"Where am I?"

Michael scratched his head in confusion because before him there wasn't even a single living creature, let alone a god. Could it be that the size of a god was so massive that the naked eye couldn't see them entirely?

Before he could get an answer to his question, an even bigger question mark appeared. He could fly?

The moment this thought appeared in his mind, Michael acted like a non-swimmer who had fallen into water, flailing his arms and legs wildly… Realizing he could swim, Michael used breaststroke movements to constantly 'swim' upwards.

But no matter how much he struggled, nothing changed. He didn't fall down, nor did he fly up. Moving left or right also didn't work. It felt like he was stuck in mid-air by some kind of invisible glue.
