Chapter 4 - C4. FIRST DAY.

"Are you going to spit out on what happened or..." Shyl asked as he rushed to them. He was always possessive of Gene no strings attached. Jay sobbed softly as he wiped his tears.

"He hasn't even changed from yesterday's clothes." Gene stated as he helped him be on his feet.

"Let's get you cleaned." Gene stated as they headed to the bathroom. Shyl rushed in for clothes and seconds later he was seated with the two for a round talk.

"Where are the others?"

"Pa took them out for some errands but they'll be back soon." Shyl stated noting on Jays wish for change on topic.

"So what happened?"

"Nothing. I just rushed here."

"Cheat." Shyl stated anoyed. He had awaited for the whole story for a good share of his own time.

"Keep it down." Gene stated calming his nerves. Shyl stood and walked to the refrigerator. Everything in here seemed different. More renovated.

"What happened in here?"

"Our donors son is back so he gave us grandson to celebrate and daddy decided to renovate the place." Shyl responded as he place the bottle up fo him to sip.

"Eaten anything?" The question sink in. Their only source of income was now gone. To be precise his father's source of beer.

"No" he responded calmly.

"Dad drunk yet again?" Gene asked as he rose to make some instant noodles for him.

"No. He came back with a wrecked cart,an injury and anger."

"Pushed you away?"

"Maybe..."

"Fuck as if I knew it. I told you you should come over and live with us now see." Shyl stated impatient.

"He's my dad."

"Today he pushed you tomorrow it'll be a slap then a kick." Shyl continued. He had no parents. No know how of how he came to be but he dared not like shitty parents. He viewed several with the kids that stayed with them. Gene placed the food on the table. Jay stared at it his hair still rubbing the corner of his eyes as before. He felt a year drop. No it shouldn't come. He shrugged off the thought as he took a bite. He had had nothing since the previous night.

"Are you ready for tomorrow?" Shyl asked ready for an answer. He was positive he wasn't. Jay shook his head.

"I'll kill that man myself!" Shyl stated as he begun walking out. Gene held him.

"Well, we are going to head out for shopping let's do it together." Gene stated calm.

"But I have no money."

"Pay when you have some." He responded with a smile. Friendly as ever. The trio walked out. Maybe that was the reason they had not gone with the rest good for him as if they hadn't been there he'd have died of sorrow.

"All first years assemble at the main field." A voice came from the mic. Timon held his backpack tighter as if it contained gold. This was Pas decision. I'd study with him. For my own safety but to reality, T was basically baseless interms of fighting and protection. The item in his bag was everything to him. The only thing he was good at. Computer. He totally looked like a whipped out first year.

"Let's go boss." He stated. It had slipped off his lips.

"Dew." He stated once he noted on his mistake. Having Rick closer was better. He had sence. Not this guy I was given. We walked to the main field. My heart pulpitated. I was afraid of meeting him. The guy that made me smile three years ago. The guy that made me notice at a stare for work to be done wasn't necessary.

"So should we walk by ourselves to find friends or..." Timon asked. I was silent. I loved myself as such. Few moments with Rick and some days just to myself with headphones of the sound of rusty engines that needed little oil and all would be well.

We walked on silent as I viewed it all. The faculty I was in was huge as various vehicle sketches were all over. As told these were marks left on various campus buildings by fine arts students. Then there. He spotted him. Jay. Shyl and Tiw. T was always fast eyed he saw him.

"Wait I saw that guy somewhere." He stated trying to think. It was three damn years. One encounter who could possibly remember. Dew turned to his pocket to find his picture. He turned it and the words were neatly written.

'I HOPE YOU SMILE FOUREVER.' He smiled at the note. A little bit genuine.

"Jay it's that guy you brought to us at the bar." Tiw stated as he tried to walk to him. Jay held him behind.

"What?" He spotted Shyl. Perfect excuse.

"Shyl's over there." He stated as he pulled him.

"He didn't tell us his faculty." He stated as he tried sulking.

"What for?"

"Wait, don't tell me you like him." Tiw stated as they finally stopped.

"Who likes who?" A voice came. Tiw still stared at Dew as some girls shyly waved at him.

"Seems hot people like him. Jay you won't manage." He stated still absent minded. Shyl knocked his head. He always treated Jay as if he was his kid yet they were of same age.

"Watch your tongue. My boy is here to study not make love." He stated serious.

"Okay." He responded all smiles as he turned.

"But if you need help I'll be here." He responded rushing from them.

"You son of a ..." Everyone stared. He had to keep silent.

"Hi." A voice came from a girl before me. I nodded and she jumped as if the best angel had responded to her wish. I pulled Timon further from the crowd till we were on the last lane. I wasn't cute. It was obvious. African, american and asian blood all run through my veins plus the sharp jaws I saw on my light skin every morning as I brushed my teeth stated similar facts. My face attracted women and to some extent men. I felt odd as people secretly turned to take pics. Timon sat. He knew his job. Ensuring all pics of mine were deleted. This was one reason I had him as my pocket handbag.

"Excuse me are you okay?" A voice came. He looked up only to find Jay staring. He turned to the guy beside him. They were same size in structure no big deal.

"Yeah." I responded as Timon turned off his computer.

"I'm Nick third yeah mechanical engineering. If you need any help feel free." He stated as he walked back to his buddies. The start up speech was never important. Just introduction and info on how to go about campus life. I had basically lived my life alone hence these years to come were nothing plus all I knew was my time here was limited unless I practically begged the old man.
