Setting: once as well morning The bustling streets of Geneva City, where the sun peeks through the clouds, casting a warm glow on the morning rush. Erica and Ruby, two best friends, are waiting at the bus stop, excitement bubbling in the air.
Erica: (checking her watch) "Ruby, are you sure we're at the right stop? The bus should've been here by now!"
Ruby: (adjusting her TV-head helmet) "Of course! I mean, how could we possibly get lost? We're just going to Geneva International Academy Secondary. It's not like it's a maze or anything!"
Erica: "Right, but what if we miss the bus and end up late for our first day? I can't face Ms. Thompson without a proper introduction!"
Ruby: (grinning) "Relax! If we miss it, I'll just use my emergency teleportation device!" (taps her helmet, which beeps comically)
Just then, the bus screeches to a halt in front of them, and the doors swing open with a whoosh.
Bus Driver: (with a thick accent) "Get in, get in! No time to waste!"
They hop on, and the bus rattles away, weaving through the busy streets of Geneva City. After a short ride filled with chatter and laughter, they arrive at the school gate.
Erica: (looking up at the towering gates) "Wow, it's even bigger than I imagined!"
Ruby: "And look at that guard! He looks like he stepped out of a superhero movie!"
They approach the guard, who stands stoically, arms crossed.
Mr Guard: (gruffly) "Name?"
Erica: (nervously) "Uh, Erica Thompson. I'm a new transferee."
Mr Guard: (nodding) "And your friend?"
Ruby: (cheerfully) "Ruby! I'm her sidekick!"
The guard raises an eyebrow but lets them through. They enter the school, where students are milling about, chatting and laughing.
Erica: (taking a deep breath) "Okay, let's find Class 2. Ms. Thompson is probably waiting for us."
They navigate the hallways, finally finding their classroom. Inside, a female teacher with bright pink hair is organizing her desk.
Ms. Thompson: (looking up) "Good morning, class! We have new transferees today! Please welcome Erica and Ruby!
The class erupts into whispers and giggles. A girl with a crown of flowers on her head raises her hand.
Lavi: "Ooh, new girls! Are you guys cool? Like, can you do flips or something?"
Erica: (smiling nervously) "Uh, I can do a cartwheel?"
The class laughs, and a boy with a dramatic flair stands up.
Luois: "Cartwheels are so last season! What about your fashion sense? Are you ready to be trendsetters?"
Ruby nudges Erica, whispering.
Ruby: "I think we just entered a reality show."
Ms. Thompson claps her hands to regain order.
Ms. Thompson: "Alright, everyone! Let's settle down. Erica, Ruby, please introduce yourselves."
Erica: (clearing her throat) "Hi, I'm Erica. I love reading and… um, I'm really excited to be here!"
Ruby: (enthusiastically) "And I'm Ruby! I'm a robot enthusiast and I have a TV for a head! Nice to meet you all!"
The class bursts into laughter, and Erica can't help but join in. Ms. Thompson smiles, clearly amused.
Ms. Thompson: "Well, it seems we have a lively class this year! Now, let's get to know each other better. I'll call out your names, and you'll tell us one interesting fact about yourself."
As Ms. Thompson starts calling names, Erica feels a wave of relief wash over her. This might just be the start of something amazing.
Ms. Thompson: "Lavi?"
Lavi: "I can juggle flaming torches!"
Ms. Thompson: "Luois?"
Luois: "I once won a beauty pageant for cats!"
The laughter continues as each student shares their quirky facts. Erica and Ruby exchange glances, realizing they've found a place where they can truly belong.
As the bell rings, signaling the end of the first class, Erica leans over to Ruby.
Erica: "I think we're going to love it here."
Ruby: "As long as I can keep my TV head, I'm in!"
They both laugh, ready to embrace whatever adventures await them at Geneva International Academy Secondary.
To be continue..'
