(after she United mica and calix, and after the jayfer gym kiss scene.)
I was walking through the hallways my mind reliving every moment of that kiss and what he said after that.
Flashback....
He picked me up and spun me around. I backed my face away from his a little.
"Put.. put me down." I said trying to sound authorative and failing miserably. Seriously? I walked into board meetings like I owned it- because I did- trace signals and calls to find culprits, I could fight those thugs and criminals easily, my whole squad(CBI team) trembled beneath my anger- but just being too close to this guy makes me lose all that 'empress' persona.
"Or what?" He asked, his tone teasing.
I turned my head a little- just a fraction of movement- but he had also moved his head at the same time. Our lips met. I'd thought it would maybe be a brief brush. But NO. Because my life hated me. It was a full blown face slamming-nose clashing kiss.
I scrambled of him immediately. The whole of section e was cheering behind me now- exept Yuri. He looked- hurt? But why? I ignored it. He was probably thinking about something else.
Don't overthink jay.
"You did that on purpose" the king said, his cool guy act vanishing completely, leaving only the shocked and slightly smug person.
"W- what? N-no. I didn't. You're so full of yourself. It was an accident, it was your fault anyway, why did you even tilt that head of yours?" I asked, my voice slowly regaining its usual bite, but before he could even respond, my cousin was there in an instant, pulling me towards the exit. Before he could though, I felt another hand grab my wrist. It was Kiefer and he was- pulling me towards him? That can't be right..
"Let go of her. She's my cousin."
"She belongs to section e."
"She doesn't belong to-"
Before he could say anything else, the king of asshole suddenly tightened his grip on me and gave a final forceful pull, and he kissed me again.
It was not a unplanned one this time. And before I could even process what was happening, this idiot deepened it. I pulled back and before I even knew what I was doing- I punched him straight in his jaw.
"F-ck!What was that for? You kissed me first and I didn't punch you." He complained.
"Idiot! That was an accident. I didn't mean to." I countered.
He leaned in and whispered so only I could here it-
"But I did. I meant to."
I didn't know what to say to that so I did what any flustered human being would do- I turned around and basically fled the gym, stopping only when I had put enough distance between us.
End of flashback....
I meant to... What did he mean by that? Did he... like me? No way, he hated me. We were always bickering and arguing in class, though I secretly enjoyed it. It was kind of our thing. But now? It was confusing.
I was so lost in my own thoughts that didn't even know where I was going and I bumped straight into ci n who was holding a bag that looked like a lady's handbag.
"Nice style. It suits you, the bag" I said, teasing him.
"It's not mine jay. A man just told me to hold it. He just gave it to me and left beca-" he was suddenly cut off by a girls shrill sound.
"There's my bag. So you were the one who stole it weren't you. Why can't you just keep your hands to yourself" she said, sounding annoyed and bossy.
I don't like her aldready.
"What's happening here?"
It was mykel, the guy who had proposed to mica and almost choked me when I tried to intervene- I was about to shove him away and show him my fighting skills, but Kiefer did it for me first.
By now a few kids from section a and a few of my friends from section e had aldready arrived, sensing the commotion.
"This guy stole my bag." The bitch declared instantly.
"I- I didn't steal anything. Sorry. He- here. Have your bag back." Ci n said. A wave of anger washed through me. Why was he apologising when he didn't do anything wrong? She should be the one apologising. She snatched it from him, as if he was carrying some disease. I rolled my eyes at her. So dramatic.
"I had 2000 in here. It's missing." She said, her tone accusative. Impossible. This kid? Stealing? No way. Besides, she sounded way too sure accusing him. As if it was a set up- which by now was clear it was.
"Here Imelda. Keep this money. And you kid. Stop stealing. But what else can I expect from all of you. You're section e. You're all just worthless trash anyway." Mykel said.
I swear to god, I almost lost control then and there. I swung out my fist, but before my fist connected with his dumb face, Yuri hauled me up and carried me to the class, ci n trailing behind us.
As soon as he put me down I turned around at once to go back and give that asshole a piece of my mind, but Yuri shut the door behind me and locked it. I was literally boiling with rage now as I turned to ci n.
"Why didn't you tell me the truth why you actually came to section e? I thought we were best friends. I know you didn't steal anything but you should have told me the truth." - jay.
"Because that's how it is isn't it? Your first impression of a person always stays." - ci n
"So you hid it? Don't you realise that's much worse? It's almost as if-" - jay
"Jay, stop" - yuri
"- your proving-" - jay
"Jay that's enough." - kiefer
"-what they are saying is true." I finished, ignoring Yuri's and kiefer's warnings.
"Jay!" - Yuri
My anger faded as I realised why Yuri was shouting. Ci n was crying. I stepped forward and hugged him at once, patting his back lightly.
"Sorry. Sorry, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I was just mad you didn't tell me." -Jay
"I didn't steal anything." - ci n
"I believe you. I know you wouldn't. I'm here for you." - jay
"We're all here for you." The king corrected softly. I have to admit, he was really good at taking care of people he cares about.
