This is, once again, not a chapter. I'm genuinely sorry if y'all thought it was, because I understand if you'd feel disappointed. But you need to read this to understand the story of the upcoming chapters, so kindly bear with me here.
Remember when I gave Leo's story? (Refer chapter: Jay's background). So in that I had mentioned that he is now 11 years old. I said it wrong he is 10 years old. Please excuse my mistake. That makes him 2 years old when his parents died.
Jay raised him for a year. He lived with his grandparents untill jay was 13 and that was when she took him in again because, like I said, his grandparents were only in it for the money.
She started her career (the company) when she was 13 and it took off after 9 months which is why she was able to be his legal guardian (steady income and better care), by proving that she was the one funding the grandparents for raising him.
One last very important thing: The camping trip to holy saints and the chapter where kiefer's father (kiezer) brings section e and Aries and Ella to his house and point gun at Jay (where she challenges a professional hitman to shoot her. Kind reckless tbh but she was brave enough to do it. I could never😭😭) - so yeah these two scenes doesn't happen untill after the plan reveal..

Also I saw a LOT of comments in the original book (3rd one after kief returned) calling Jay dumb and all for not listening to Kiefer when he came back from London and wanted to explain. Ok I love Kiefer and am fully aware that he is a wholegreen planet..
BUT THAT'S BECAUSE WE READ HIS POV! SHE DOESN'T KNOW GUYS!😭. Let's be honest here, if it were us would we want to here their excuses? Would we not want to stop talking to them in the fear of believing them and getting hurt again? Look at it from her pov. All she knows is that the boy she loves told her he used her for revenge. AND EVEN AFTER EVERYTHING SHE WAITED FOR HIM WHEN HE WENT TO LONDON. SHE DIDN'T STOP LOVING HIM.
And for everyone telling hating on her charecter for being concerned about Yuri? SHE SEES HIM AS HER FRIEND! AND IF THERE'S ONE THING WE KNOW ABOIT HER IT IS THAT SHE IS ALWAYS CONCERNED FOR HER FRIENDS AND WANTS TO SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS! That's what makes her the meddler. That's what makes her jay jay!
Also, in her pov, Yuri was there for her when she was hurt. Yes, he's a red rooster. Yes,he's a manipulative bastard. No, I don't like him. I hate him. BUT SHE DOESN'T KNOW THAT! SHE THINKS HE'S JUST CAUGHT UP IN A PROBLEM. Poor girl doesn't realise that he IS THE PROBLEM.
Sorry y'all I was rereading the book and saw those comments and crashed out and wanted to vent so badly! I wanted people to understand her too!😭😭 Everyone around her lied to her at that point and she was just so down.
And before someone comes for me, yes I'm aware that Kiefer went through just as much hardship- maybe even more- all alone. I feel bad for both of them. They're just kids😭😭.
But I just feel like Jay's struggles (both in her childhood and in the betrayal) is not taken enough about! Like the way she still cares about everyone except herself? The way she was concerned and wanted to help kiegan even when he literally tried to KILL her minutes ago? She's too pure for this world.🥹🥹
Emotionally, she's the strongest and smartest charecter (emotional intelligence is a thing). Cause even Kiefer wanted revenge and all (no hate he genuinely went through sooo much) but she not only kept smiling but was also the reason for other's smiles❤️🥰
