Finally the time had come the Monkey King, his son, as well as Hamma,
Pigsy and Sandy all returned to Flower and Fruit Mountain but the rest of the
heroes had to go to the Spirit Realm. Meanwhile Narcis was still alive but he was
in critical condition. Before they left through the portal Ungar asked to see Narcis
where he was healing in the Fountain of Life. Ungar told Ebisu that it was all his
fault that if he took out the Cyclops earlier this never would have happened. Ebisu
reminded him that if it weren't for him Narcis III may have never redeemed
himself and become a better person. Ebisu as well as his entourage being the
Elite-Four Warriors and Hassan I-Sabbah and his army of assassins would stay
behind at the wind palace. With the exception of Ungar. The Slug Man was tasked
with guarding the portal to the inner Spirit-World and the Dream World at his
Taoist Temple in the southern part of Yardrat on the Planet Helios. Ebisu opened
the portal to the Spirit Realm he told him that the Portal could only be opened
twice so they could not come back after they entered until they finished the job so
they all had to prepare properly for the journey. Ultimately it was decided that the
girls would stay behind inYardrat. So the heroes to go on this mission to Yardrat
lead by Ungar and the Slug Man were Ungar, the Slug Man, Daniel, Zaiyal,
Sarai, and Narcis once he recovered from his wounds. Gordo, Tito and Karzai
were training with the Monkey King on Fruit and Flower Mountain so they would
be ready on the next adventure. It was a total of 6 people. 5 if you didn't include
Narcis. Ebisu explained that the mission was to recover the last two remaining
pieces of the Black Jewel and the Spirit Blade which lies beyond the lands of
Marmara. The last two pieces of the Black Jewel were in the Bug Kingdom in
the South only by traveling through the Bug Kingdom to the Lands of Mamarra
would they be able to find the Spirit Blade. He explained that the Spirit World was
vast and to make sure to stay on course for the Spirit World as far as mortals were
concerned at least was large and vast it might as well be an infinite universe of its
own and they weren't even exploring 1% of it on this quest. Ebisu opened the
portal to the Spirit World and the 8 heroes entered. Taiping and Acon 01 01 01
were to follow the rest once the heroes obtained the rest of the Black Jewel and the
Spirit Blade and meet the rest of the group at the gates of the Underworld where
Iblis was sealed deep inside of. Before they entered the portal Ebisu explained that
Daniel as the Gatekeeper would have to become a Bodhisattva if he wished to
wield the Spirit Blade like every other Gatekeeper in history. The Bodhisattva is a
concept from the Buddhist religion that describes an enlightened being who is on
the path to Buddhahood. It was an idea that existed in all types of Buddhism
including the major schools of Buddhism being Theravada Buddhism,
Mahayana Buddhism and Vajrayana Buddhism. But was also a universal
concept of Buddhism despite the native country whether it was Chinese
Buddhism, Japanese Buddhism, Korean Buddhism, Vietnamese Buddhism,
Cambodian Buddhism, Thai Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, Indian
Buddhism, Sri-Lankan Buddhism, etc. According to some schools of Buddhist
thought a Bodhisattva was expected to help all other or at least as many living
beings as possible reach enlightenment before they could reach Buddhahood. This
understanding was the one the Gate Keeper must follow. Many Gatekeeper were of
many different faiths other than Buddhism one could be for example a Hindu,
Christian, Magian, Zoroastrian, Taoist, Sikh or Jain but still needed to follow
basic practices of Buddhism most importantly following the way of a Bodhisattva.
Ever since Daniel had come to this world he had begun to believe in the
Supernatural and personally identified with the Christian and Buddhist religions
now calling himself a Christian-Buddhist. But he had no idea of how to obtain the
position of a Bodhisattva. This question lingered in his mind as the 8 heroes
entered the Bug Kingdom. The Slug Man was the first to speak; "Even though I am
a Taoist and not a Buddhist I have met many Buddhists in my life and few if any
achieved the goal of becoming a Bodhisattva," said the Slug Man. "Hey great
pep-talk Slug, don't you think the kid has enough on his mind doubting if he can
become one of these Bodhisattvas," said Ungar. "I find it hard to believe that this
elf could become a Bodhisattva. Its ridiculous if you ask me. You're way out of your
league!" said Zaiyal. "Maybe so, but remember Zaiyal Daniel was the first person
to learn the Buddhist Palm technique from the Monkey King." Said Sarai. "So
non-Buddhists can become Bodhisattvas but it's still almost impossible for
Buddhists to become Bodhisattvas. Jeez kid, you really got your work cut out for
you." Said Tito. "I agree." Said Gordo. "Dude I'm totally jealous, I bet
Bodhisattvas get lots of Anime cuties in the afterlife." Said Karzai. "Please. His
power level isn't 1/1,000
th of where it needs to be for the Elf to become a
Bodhisattva. You people really are a bunch of fools!" said Zaiyal. "ENOUGH! All
of you need to focus. We need to collect the last pieces of the Black Jewel and
retrieve the Spirit Blade. And we have to begin this now Iblis's army is after the
same things. So, let's go!" said Ungar. Ungar turned around with the brush of his
cape and the others followed him. Into the wilderness of a large Bamboo Forest.
Meanwhile; on an airship just entering a portal to the Spirit World above the
Bug Kingdom was the Dark Lord Zeal the servant of the dark wizard Iblis and
several other goons not including Konga, Krieg and Cordova, who were in the
Underworld searching for the long lost tomb of Iblis while the Thunder Bros. were
after the first piece of the Black Jewel but several others including Emperor Taipei
the Demon King, Zagros, Nilis the Cyclops, and Agitha. "Ahhh... the Spirit Realm
it's been a long time since I've been here. What was it 12,000 years or so when the
Jade Emperor expelled me to the Underworld? It's good to be back." Said Emperor
Taipei. "I can't wait to get my claws around the neck of the Elf I'm just so excited
to kill that vile runt!" said Zagros. "I can't wait to eat that Solarian punk." Said
Nilis. "Quite all of you! Lord Zeal wishes to speak. My lord." Said Agitha. "Thank
you Agitha. I will start by promising all of you that you will get your revenge on
everyone who has harmed you. Make no mistake Iblis will avenge everyone in this
room. Now first off I'm sending the Thunder Bros. to retrieve the second piece of
the Black Jewel if they fail I will send Nilis, then Zagros, than Taipei, than
Agitha. The black wind is howling do you not hear it?! Its time for Lord Iblis to
recreate the world in his image a perfect world without any of those who have
tainted it before." Said Zeal.
As Lord Zeal finished his speech the Thunder Bros. Leigong and Raijin
who had just caught up to Ungar, Daniel and the rest of the team. When Ungar
noticed there presence. "EVERYONE GET DOWN!" said Ungar. Everyone fell to
the floor as a giant Ninja Star whizzed by missing all of them it was of course the
Thunder Bros. "Well, well, well, you fools are trying to get your hands on the Black
Jewel piece first. Well I'm sorry we can't let that happen." Said Leigong. "Yeah
you guys better call it quits before we have to teach you a lesson." Said Raijin. "It's
no use there, much more powerful than us we have to retreat!" said Ungar. "You're
joking Ungar we have to stand and fight!" said Zaiyal. "This isn't up for debate
Zaiyal we need to get out of here now!" said Ungar. "I'm afraid it's too late for
that. YOU FOOLS ARE DEAD!" said Raijin. As he shot a wave of Katanas at the
heroes the wave was stopped abruptly and a voice rang out. "You fools don't stand
a chance, give up." Said the mysterious stranger. "Who was that who said that?!"
said Raijin. "It was me you clowns." Said the being which was a large
anthropomorphic Wasp. "My name Whisp I am the master of the Royal Guard of
Queen Bee. You fools have entered with fowl intent into Queen Bee's Kingdom and
now... you must pay with your lives." Said Whisp the Wasp. "Oh how delightful the
little wasp wants to come out and play with us well we better not disappoint him."
Said Leigong. The two shot lightning and thunderbolts at Wisp until there was
nothing but a cloud of smoke and then began to laugh until they realized that
Whisp didn't have a scratch on him. "Are you two clowns done. If so then it's my
turn." Said Wisp. As he said this Whisp lunged forward and began slashing at
Leigong. Leigong didn't stand a chance he was defenseless and completely at the
mercy of the Warrior and at the end Whisp used his Imperial Sword to cut Leigong
straight in half and then incinerated him right in front of Raijin. Raijin, who was
the larger of the two, began to sweat much more than they did in their fight with the
Monkey King. "Hey buddy I learned my lesson. I think I'll get out of here. No
reason for me to stick around." Said Raijin. After this Whisp landed a blow right in
Raijin's gut which made him hit a tree and as a result Raijin had blood gushing
from his mouth. "Please I give up. I'm sorry, PLEASE!!!!! HAVE MERCY!!!!!!"
said Raijin. "It's too late, demon, your fate was sealed when you entered this
sacred ground. Goodbye." Said Whisp. After he said this Whisp shot a gigantic
burst of energy from his hand which began to tear Raijin apart as he screamed
bloody murder. When Whisp was finished both of the Thunder Brothers were no
more. "Incredible!" thought Zaiyal. "This being killed two gods like it was
nothing. What's happening is that I am so low on the scale of everyone's abilities.
Is this some kind of strange dream on earth happening?!" thought Zaiyal. "Royal
Guard of the Bees. You look more like a Wasp to me." Said Ungar. "I am a Wasp
but was exiled from the Wasp Kingdom decades ago. I now serve the Queen of the
Bees. I myself am considered an honorary-Bee by the Bee Kingdom not to mention
there most powerful warrior." Said Whisp. "We will be heading to the Bee
Kingdom. You'll have to follow me but one of you needs to give this message to the
Ant Kingdom: whoever among you is the fastest it will most likely take a little over
a day to get there and back. The message is from the Queen Bee to the Queen Ant.
Both our kingdoms possess both pieces of the Black Jewel. The Queen Bee has one
and the Queen Ant has the other to give this letter to the Queen Ant and she will
give you the piece of the Black Jewel once we have this we can head north to the
Fields of Marmara and retrieve the Spirit Blade. Ebisu filled me and my Queen
with everything." Said Whisp. "God he sure did." Said Daniel. "Well who will
deliver this letter?!" said Whisp. "I will take the letter to the Queen of the Ant
Kingdom." Said Zaiyal. "Excellent you're the one Ebisu called Zaiyal the Solarian
right. Go with my partner Whiskers the Mouse." Said Whisp. "Whiskers?" said
Zaiyal. As Zaiyal said this a small white mouse jumped in his pocket. "Whiskers
here. Alright Zaiyal I'll give you the directions to the Ant Kingdom. It's up to you to
get there as quickly as possible." Said Whiskers. "Alright Whiskers lets go!" said
Zaiyal. After this Zaiyal took off. And Whisp took off in the other direction telling
the rest of the heroes to follow him to the Bee Kingdom where Zaiyal took off in
the other.
Meanwhile... in the Spirit World. Narcis had finally woken up and he was
greeted by the Caterpillar Maochong and the Clockwork Elves. Who expressed to
Narcis that he was in the Spirit World and that he would need to train and reach the
status of a Bodhisattva if he wished to recover from this coma. "You have grown so
much Narcis you put your life on the line to save one of your friends. I have good
news for you boy. You will recover from this coma and heal but you will need to
confront your demons if you wish to reach your goal sooner. You will have to
become a Bodhisattva and reach Buddhahood in order to heal and join the fight
against Iblis. Your first battle will be against yourself, are you ready Narcis?!" said
the Caterpillar. "I am." Said Narcis. "Alright then Narics, your first trial begins
now." Said the Caterpillar. The room around Narcis went dark and Narcis appeared
in a green field with thundering in the distance and before him stood himself but
with a wicked smile on his face it was Narcis but the Narcis from before the evil
Narcis III that had tried to conquer the world and proclaimed himself God. "Well,
well, well, it seems you have discarded the legacy of our grandfather to play the
hero and look where it's gotten you. You were nearly killed." Said Dream Narcis.
"My convictions had nothing to do with my defeat. I would have fallen even if I
were still rotten to the core like you." Said Narcis. "Alright I've had enough it's
about time I shot that annoying mouth of yours." Said Dream Narcis. After this the
battle began but in the real world the heroes were about to reach the Bee Kingdom
which was much closer than the Ant Kingdom. "We're coming up on Imperial Bee
Capital, "the Hive," you will all be greeted when you arrive and receive a nice
dinner and for the Taoist Slug we have requested that you have a traditional meal
of your faith and your people." Said Whisp. "So Whisp what's your story why did
you betray your own people." Said Sarai. "My people are barbaric; they slaughter
and enslave everyone in their path in the forming of the Wasp Empire over the last
1,000 years they have enslaved and destroyed countless kingdoms and ended
countless more lives. I couldn't live with the guilt of being the monster that I was so
I became a race traitor, an apostate and defected to the Bees." Said Whisp. "Me
and Sarai know where your coming from. We weren't always the best people but all
you can do is continue to redeem yourself through the rest of your life." Said Ungar.
"So what's the Queen Bee like? Is she nice?" said Daniel. "She is the purest soul
in the entire Spirit Realm. You will understand when you meet her." Said Whisp.
"People who know of Taoism are practicing Taoists in your realm." Said the Slug
Man. "There are a handful of Taoists in my realm most of them are foreigners
belonging to your people, a few are converts among our people and one of the
Taoists and a Slug Person is the Chancellor of the Queen his name is Zhong-Du the
Slug. You will meet him very soon." Said Whisp. "It looks like we're arriving now.
Everyone listens to Whisp. He knows the culture and customs of the Bees better
than anyone here." Said Ungar. The heroes landed and began to walk into the
Imperial City all around them were Bees. Bees selling goods and haggleing one
another for the best products but there were also other insects from across the Bug
Kingdom. Snails, Slugs (including Slug Men), Spiders but also non-incest
Dwarves, Elves, Goblins, Humans, etc. all conducting commerce. Daniel was in
awe remembering that everyone here was a spirit. As they landed the Imperial
Knights of the Bee Kingdom escorted Daniel and the others into the Bee Castle as
they entered they were shocked by the pleasantries inside its great stained glass
windows and statues of the different Bee gods and heroes from the Bee people.
They eventually entered the palace which went to the throne room and there was
the Queen Bee and her Chancellor Zhong-Du the Slug Man. "My Queen the heroes
that Ebisu foretold of are here. They have come to claim the second part of the
Black Jewel." Said Whisp as he knelt. The palace was incredible thought Daniel, it
looked like an Imperial Chinese castle much like the Palace of the Emperors.
"Thank you Whisp you are always so gracious. My guests we will give you the
Jewel tomorrow for first you must attend the Festival of the Sun which is celebrated
by Bees everywhere where we celebrate the dawn of a new year. We will then take
you to the Piece of the Crystal which lies deep in the mines of the Honey
Production Factory. In the meantime you are welcome to anything our kingdom
has to offer in the morning we will take you to the Factory and give you the second
piece of the Black Jewel." Said the Queen. "Thank you you're highness we will."
Said Sarai. The Slug Man stepped forward as he could not remember the last time
he saw one of his people, for he had seen fellow Taoists on numerous equations but
not members of his own race he told the old Slug dressed as an old Confucian
advisor. "Wise Zhong-Du my name is Slug. I am of the Daoist faith and one of your
people. It's been so long since I've seen one of my races. Tell me would it be too
much trouble to visit the others of my kin in the Daoist temple." Said Slug. "Why if
her majesty has no objections, I will take you straight there." Said Zhong-Du. "No
objections Chancellor. Feel free to take them to your people's temple. In the
morning you must return here though in the meantime enjoy yourselves and enjoy
the festival." Said the Queen. The heroes left the Palace and followed Zhong-Du to
a Chinese style Taoist temple and in the temple with the exception of several bees
and members of other races were Slug People members of Slug's race. Slug began
to cry and the other Slugs ceased their prayers and tried to comfort Slug asking him
what was wrong. He made it clear that it had been so very long since he had seen
members of his own race and that he had almost forgotten there were others just
like him. As this happened Daniel and Ungar spoke fondly of this experience while
Sarai was deep in thought. "The Slug Man broke down when he confronted
members of his own tribe. Would I do the same if I met more of my people besides
Atil. I wonder... Other than her I have not met a single Izadoran. I wonder how I
would react if I confronted one of my people, especially if they were a fellow
warrior." Thought Sarai. That night with the exception of the Slug who stayed in
the Taoist temple with his people and the other Taoist followers the others being
Whisp, Ungar, Daniel and Sarai began to celebrate with the Bee people and the
foreigners all through the night while this was happening Narcis had defeated
himself in the Dream World.
"You may have bested me Narcis but the next challenge will not come so
easy. Hahahahahaha!" Said Dream Narcis as he faded into non-existence. The
Caterpillar did not appear this time it was a dark being with tentacles on his face it
was the being Cthulhu. I am the Elder Priest Cthulhu. If you wish to recover and
become a Bodhisattva, you must stare into my eyes. If you fail you will die. If you
succeed you will be able to return to your world and help your friends. Please if
you wish look into my eyes. As Narcis did this almost instantly there was an
incredible pain and he felt like he was being torn in half but he persisted eventually
he heard a voice in his head it was Ungar. "Come on kid you can pass the Priest's
stupid test, you have what it takes to be a Bodhisattva." Said Ungar. "I can't do it.
I'm not good enough I must be doomed to fail." Said Narcis. "Shut your mouth kid
you don't have a choice. Remember how you felt when you saved my life do that
again use every ounce of your ability to push past the pain and the suffering and
become what you were meant to be." Said Ungar. As he said this Narcis pushed
through the pain and eventually came out the other side glowing with a white glow.
Cthulu stood there and said; "Congratulations elf you are now a Bodhisattva.
Honestly I was skeptical when the Caterpillar Maochong said you could do it but I
need to learn not to question him anymore. You are ready return to your world
there is a great evil headed towards your friends now that you are a Bodhisattva
you will be able to sense your friends and the evil. Hurry Narcis!" said Cthulu.
After he said this Cthulhu disappeared. After this Narcis woke up and rushed to
Ebisu as he was training with Taiping and Acon 01 01 01 he explained that he
needed to get there right away and Ebisu listened opening a portal to the Spirit
World which Narcis gracefully flew through after the locked onto the energy of his
friend or their Chi he noticed the great evil approaching them he sped up. "Don't
worry guys, I'll be there. I won't let anything happen to you guys." Thought Narcis.
As they thought this Narcis continued to fly off in the direction of the Bee
Kingdom.
On the ground in the Bee Kingdom the festivities continued until a loud
explosion was heard and the Bee Soldiers began to shout of an imminent attack
that was heading towards them. Narcis was much faster than anyone else at this
point as he was now a Bodhisattva and was several minutes from reaching the Bee
Kingdom. The heroes all got into an attack position and eventually the Slug Man
found them. A familiar face showed himself. "Guess what Zeal's forces signed an
Alliance with the Wasp Kingdom so you guys are as good as screwed." It was Nilis
the Cyclops. "It's you again." Said Ungar. "It sure is and look I can shoot that
attack from my eye now and I also have a protective lens so the trick your Solarian
friend pulled won't work on me this time." Said Nilis. "You're in league with the
Wasp Kingdom, you really are a foul creature." Said Whisp. "Some attitude Wasp,
I guess I should squash you like a bug." Said Nilis. Whisp now realized that Nilis
was much more powerful than the Thunder Bros. "Well I'll tell you that you're
quick but you're no match for me." Said Nilis. Now Nilis went into battle mode
smacking Daniel and Sarai through the air followed by Ungar and the Slug Man all
that was left was Whisp who used everything in his arsenal to stay on even footing
with the terrible Cyclops. Eventually Nilis began to wear down the Wasp but when
it all seemed over a loud thud hit the ground. It was Narcis. "Narcis... you're
back." Said Ungar. "Why if it isn't the little elf that I nearly killed the last time we
fought. Do you have a death wish or do you really want to fight again?!" said
Nilis. Narcis said nothing, he simply stared at Nilis. "I guess you really are a
glutton for punishment. Either that or you're a complete fool to challenge me
again." Said Nilis. "I'm not the same Elf that battled you before. I've changed."
Said Narcis. Nilis paused and then began to laugh hysterically. "HO-HO!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Wow you should
do stand-up! You have an incredible sense-of-humor Elf I'm about to blow a
gasket. Anyway I've babbled long enough. Its time to die elf!" said Nilis. As he
said this Nilis's fist crashed into the ground where Narcis was and he began to
laugh. "Hahaha! Flattened like a pancake! Wait?! What-the...." As he said this his
fist began to shake. "Wait a minute what's going on here?!" said Nilis. Nilis was
knocked back into a wall and Narcis was revealed to be glowing with bright white
eyes. Narcis lunged forward and punched Nilis in the gut to which Nilis began to
cough up blood. Then Nilis was about to hit Narcis with a counter-attack by
grabbing him but Narcis simply broke out and landed another blow to Nilis's face
straight in his eye which even his contact didn't block as the Cyclops grabbed his
eye and began to shout in pain. "OW MY EYE!!!!! THE PAIN IS INCREDIBLE!
YOU LITTLE RUNT WHERE DID YOU GO!!!!!! When Tatu arrives he'll teach
you a lesson. He's the Prince of all the Hornets. TATU HELP!!!!!!!!" said Nilis. As
he cried out Narcis proceeded to break everyone bone in Nilis's body. "Tatu is
coming here?!" said Whisp. "Who's Tatu?!" said Daniel. "My older brother the
Prince of the Wasps!" said Whisp. Everyone was shocked as he said this Narcis
had broken every bone in the Cyclops body and in front of Nilis a small being
landed. "Oh thank you Tatu, please help me. I can't feel my legs." Said Nilis. The
being grabbed onto Nilis's hand's and then a steaming sensation began to come
from the body of the Cyclops. Nilis was actually melting. "AHHHHHH!!!!! Tatu
what are you doing?!" said Nilis. "I have no need for a wounded Cyclops!" said
the being. Nilis as he screamed for his life the screaming eventually stopped and
the Cyclops was reduced to a puddle of goop. "Hello brother." Said Tatu. "Hello
Tatu." Said Tatu. "Let me introduce myself to your new friends. My name is Tatu I
am the Prince of all Wasps. And its time for all to die." Said Tatu. As Tatu lunged
forward he was blocked by Narcis. After this a full-scale battle ensued that began
to light up the sky. Everyone else was told by Whisp to head to the mines to
retrieve the Black Jewel as Wasp Soldiers had already entered the mines and they
needed to get to the Jewel before them. As they did this, Narcis and Tatu continued
to fight in the heavens. Tatu landed a blow that knocked blood out of Narcis's
mouth but Narcis barely flinched, simply rubbing the blood off of his lips. After
this Tatu launched a large burst of dark energy at Narcis which Narcis quickly
dodged followed by a Buddhist Palm attack by Narcis which knocked Tatu several
feet back. The fight continued like this for several minutes until there was a pause.
And Tatu began to speak. "Well you are quite the warrior aren't you. I didn't
expect to meet quite the challenge in the Bee Kingdom of all places." Said Tatu.
"Why are you doing this? These people did nothing to you." Said Narcis. "These
Bees need to understand who the superior race is, the Wasps are the greatest race
to ever exist and one day our Empire will conquer the Universe the Bee Kingdom is
the first stepping stone to reaching that goal it was held off for centuries because
one of our kind my brother defected to them but allying with the army of Zeal gave
us quite the edge. Soon we'll conquer the Ant Kingdom and all the other realms of
the Spirit Realm and eventually the entire universe." Said Tatu. "You really think
Zeal wants to be friends with you fools. He's just using you." Said Narcis.
"Correction, we're using him." Said Tatu. Tatu looked at the electronic
device on his armor. "Well it looks like our men have taken the second piece of the
Black Jewel and are returning to our Hive right now to meet with Zeal's forces.
Well since the job is done I think I can stay for a little while longer. Let's see how
strong you really are, Elf." Said Tatu. As Tatu said this he once again lunged
forward and was blocked by Narcis as their battle continued. On the ground Whisp,
Daniel and the others knew that Zaiyal was now their last hope if they had the third
piece of the Jewel the only thing left was to head north to find the Spirit Blade.
Nearly all of the Wasps had reached their hive anyway and we're meeting with
Zeal and his forces.
