When Melanie got there, they had already started the meeting. They were taking attendance. She quietly took a seat at the back, and observed, like she usually does.
"I'm sure we have new members among us," A girl, probably the house captain, spoke. "Can you stand up and introduce yourselves?"
They stood up, one-by-one introducing themselves when they were pointed. Apparently the girl knew all members of the group by faces. It wasn't hard to point out the odd ones.
"You," She pointed Melanie "You're new right? Introduce yourself,"
Melanie recognised her from the group of Ethan friends, who had tried to disturb her peace.
Melanie didn't want to do it, but she didn't want to cause a ruckus just because of an introduction.
"I'm Melanie. In grade five. New pupil. Full name's Melanie Marcello D'Oro,"
"You have two surnames?" Someone pointed out.
