"Aren't you Kimizuki's demon?"
Kyle frowned. Is he? Is she trying to trick me?
"I am not. It doesn't matter who I am; anyway, I'm going to protect the Progenitor today."
Now Shinoa was also a bit uncertain. She knew that Yu's demon was named onikiri.

Kyle inwardly cursed her for being a paranoid fanatic.
Kyle slashed away the incoming arrow while simultaneously closing in on Shinoa.
However, just as he was about to reach Shinoa, a wall rose from the ground unexpectedly.
Boom!
The wall was sliced open. Kyle's pupils shrank as Demonic Aura transformed into lightning and surged toward him! He narrowly dodged it, but Shinoa had disappeared.
Clang!
Kyle blocked an arrow fired from a blind spot, only to be wounded by a slash coming from another blind spot.
Feeling the wound begin to spread, Kyle realized something was wrong; the Demonic Aura within his body had become chaotic.
Without him knowing when, a coffin had been erected beside Kyle, and Shinoa walked out of it with a smile.
"You aren't exactly a demon; you're just able to store and use Demonic Aura. It's truly my first time seeing this. You're a monster too!"
Kyle didn't speak and attacked Shinoa again, but the chaotic Demonic Aura made it difficult for him to control his body, resulting in several more wounds on his person.

Caught off guard, Shinoa was bound.
"Oh my, I was tricked."
The chains on the Progenitor were severed by the demon hand Kyle had condensed. He finally had a chance to act.

The Progenitor was incredibly weak and coughed a few times. Taking advantage of Shinoa being controlled, he raised a Mental Barrier to isolate her. In his current state, taking over Shinoa's body was a bit of a stretch.

"Then let's talk business. Saving you wasn't free; that was the agreement."

Shinoa opened her eyes, and Byakuya Akane looked at her with a face full of concern.
"How are you?"
Shinoa shook her head.
"I saw the Progenitor's memories and learned of his plan..."
