"Hmph! Fine, I'll do it." Ada was annoyed. She, of all people, was being ignored. She wondered if the other party was gay, as he showed no reaction to a beautiful woman.
Before long, a fragrant aroma wafted over. Ada's cooking actually smelled quite good! Edi was astonished that a well-trained, cold-blooded female spy could also cook.
"Dinner's ready, let's eat." Ada emotionlessly brought out dinner, which consisted of simple pairings like pan-fried steak and roasted corn.
"It looks pretty good. You're really skilled. Whoever marries you would be truly blessed," Edi praised.
"Jill is also good, very skilled," Ada teased. The target already had a girlfriend, which made implementing a honey trap much harder.
"Of course. Let's not talk about that anymore; let's eat. I'll go call someone. Oh, and it's best not to wander around here. I know you agents like to investigate. If there's anything you want to know, feel free to ask me, and I'll answer you," Edi said, standing up.
"Why do you say that?" Ada forgot her anger and subconsciously asked.
"Because I don't like rude people. You're very beautiful, and I don't want anything unpleasant to happen between us. Besides, the Arklay Mountains at night are extremely dangerous. No one knows how many monsters are still outside," Edi said with a smile.
This man is strange! For the first time, Ada felt that her target was a bit tricky, and his attitude was peculiar. Objectively speaking, he was someone very suitable to be a friend.
For some unknown reason, Ada didn't take the opportunity to explore the villa but quietly waited where she was.
Before long, Suzuki Yoko followed Edi out of the laboratory. She wasn't surprised to see an extra person; most women from the island nation are very docile. She just nodded in greeting, sat down to eat dinner, and then quickly returned to the laboratory after finishing.
"Is she your girlfriend?" Ada asked with a strange expression.
"Do you think a person can have two girlfriends?" Edi retorted.
"That's not necessarily true. Some people have more than one wife," Ada scoffed.
"If you say so. Alright, Miss Ada, our conversation can officially begin." Edi quickly finished a meal for eight people and then lit a cigarette.
"Is Umbrella researching illegal drugs?" Ada didn't say it directly but beat around the bush.
Edi shook his head, "Stop playing games, Ada. Although you're a spy, I'm not loyal to Umbrella. I've already checked; the Security Bureau doesn't have anyone named you. While I don't know what you're trying to do, I can tell you clearly that sending you alone to the Arklay Mountains to gather intelligence is clearly a suicide mission."
Ada's eyes flickered a few times, a hint of confusion and surprise in her beautiful gaze. "Alright, Mr. Edi, you've surprised me. I'm indeed not an agent. Do you know what I want?"
"You're not here to kill me, are you?" Edi made an exaggerated expression.

Chapter 28: Ada's Combat Training!
Ada almost couldn't help but laugh. "Why do you ask that? If I wanted to kill you, you'd be dead already. I'm not a killer. While spies do moonlight as killers, you're not my target."
"Alright, let's exchange information. We can answer each other's questions. How does that sound?" Edi suggested.
"Sounds great, I'd be delighted." Ada's beautiful eyes gleamed with a strange light. Who knows what this beautiful agent-slash-older-sister was planning now.
"You go first; you're the lady," Edi generously offered Ada the first question.
"What's your grudge with Spencer?" Ada decided to start with the basics. Only by understanding the other party's situation could she tailor her approach.
"Marcus was the first director of the Executive Training Center, and he was my uncle whom I never met. He was killed by Umbrella's people. I don't know who, but Spencer definitely knows. I need to find out the cause of my uncle's death, and if I have the chance, I'll avenge him!" Edi threw out his usual explanation to avoid being exposed.
"What if there's no chance?" Ada asked curiously.
"If there's no chance, I'll just continue living my own life," Edi said, shrugging indifferently.
"You're quite interesting. Alright, it's your turn to ask." Ada elegantly picked up her coffee cup.
"Are your employers Tricell Pharmaceutical or the Pharmaceutical Alliance?" Edi asked.
"Both!" Ada's answer was simple.
"How much do you know about T-Virus and G-Virus?" Ada's question came quickly.
"I know about T-Virus. I don't know about G-Virus; William, Umbrella's chief senior researcher, is studying that," Edi answered concisely.
"Can you get things done for money?" Edi continued to ask.
This made Ada raise her delicate eyebrows. The way he asked, it was as if she were some kind of professional. "In what aspect?"
Edi seemed to have come to his senses. There were indeed such professions on the streets of Raccoon City. "I'm talking about the espionage aspect, doing missions."
"Anything is possible, but I usually work for my family," Ada said indifferently.
"Family? A force more powerful than Umbrella?" Edi wondered. Was this force the legendary Simmons's? No, it should be called Simmons.
"That's right, that force is called The Family, not my family. I'm just an ordinary person!" Ada's explanation was very vague.
"It will be dangerous to be with them. I think we can work together. We are all the same kind of people and should get along well," Edi suddenly invited.
"Heh heh, you're really interesting. Let me observe for a while longer. I like freedom and don't like being constrained. I'm an independent agent," Ada shook her head and refused.
"Alright, time will tell. Do you have anything else you want to ask?" Edi was a little melancholic but also somewhat expected it. If the legendary Sister Wong were that easy to recruit, she wouldn't be Sister Wong.
"I want to get a sample of the G-Virus. Do you know how to do that?" Ada asked another sharp question. This was essentially stating her purpose; there was nothing to hide, really.
"The G-Virus probably hasn't been made by William yet. You've come too early; the dishes aren't even out of the oven yet," Edi said with a laugh.
"Too early?" Ada's expression was strange. Such a thing existed?
"That's right, the G-Virus hasn't been fully developed yet. Even if it were, it would only be a semi-finished product. Compared to the mature T-Virus, the G-Virus has greater potential and is also much harder to control, leading to even more unimaginable berserk states. I believe the G-Virus will only destroy a civilization," Edi said with a serious expression.
Ada frowned. This was very disadvantageous to her plans; she had come too early! "I don't know. I just want to get samples of the T-Virus and G-Virus. Can you help me?"
"I help you, and then you work for me?" Edi proposed a condition.
"Let's talk about it later. I don't know you, and you wouldn't want someone you don't know working for you either. Aren't you afraid I'll reveal your secrets? Spencer would definitely be very interested!" Ada's expression was alluring, and her smile was playful.
Edi shook his head, "I trust you. My intuition is very accurate. You are a trustworthy person. We are both on the same path; being friends is always better than being enemies."
"You're too naive. Easily trusting a woman is a very foolish act!" Ada frowned.
"No, I just trust my intuition. I won't trust others. Alright, if you want the T-Virus, I might be able to help you, but I can't help with the G-Virus. I'm not sure about its progress, but it's not finished yet. You can pay attention to the military's movements; that's all I can tell you." Edi finished speaking and got up to leave.
A beautiful woman is good, but things can't be rushed. As a spy, Ada definitely had a strong sense of vigilance. Getting to know each other first might lead to opportunities for cooperation later.
For three days, Ada stayed in the villa, occasionally going out for a walk. Edi would also go out with her, and they both noticed that the virus contamination nearby seemed to be getting worse. Zombie Dogs and Zombies had started to appear occasionally.
"You already know there's been a leak here?" Ada looked at the few zombies not far away, a hint of solemnity flashing in her beautiful eyes.
"Yes, I'm a researcher; I can tell just by looking, can't I? I don't know exactly where the problem originated, but it's definitely related to the abandonment of the Executive Training Center!" Edi nodded, skillfully ejecting and loading magazines, and simultaneously loading ammunition.
"So that's why you told me not to go to the Executive Training Center? What are you worried about?" Ada suddenly laughed.
"I'm worried you'll die. Don't underestimate these things. In the forest, they appear out of nowhere, and even well-trained soldiers can die tragically. No one has seen these bioweapons. Fear will prevent most people from exerting their strength, leading to death. Even if they die, under the influence of the serum, they will revive again! Becoming a walking corpse!" Edi said in a low voice.
"Why do you care about me?" Ada seemed to be deliberately teasing, her smile very alluring.
