Chapter 93 - 93

He didn't know that Eddie actually wanted Kaplan to rise and contend with Simmons. If things really got out of control, the worst solution would be to send Wolf Mother, Jessica, and others to find Simmons and let him personally experience the effects of the T-Virus.

"The director is truly brilliant! In time, he will surely become the family leader. The recent rotation period is approaching; shouldn't we make some preparations?" the Senator asked.

"Simmons' methods are watertight; it's hard for him to make a mistake. We'll see about that later; first, get the samples back. Then we'll have not only money and status but also those hot chicks!" Kaplan let out a laugh that only men would understand.

In the underground hive of the Arklay Mountains, Frederick had just hung up the phone when the laboratory door opened. Eddie walked in with Jessica and other bodyguards. "You really are capable; my guess wasn't wrong. You want to escape? And you want to escape with the company's secrets? That's not something an employee should do."

Frederick immediately pulled out a pistol. "You know too much!" He then pulled the trigger.

Bang! The sound of a bullet leaving the barrel rang out, but there was no gunshot. Frederick, wearing glasses, was incredibly surprised. What did he see? He saw a woman catch his pistol bullet with her pure white, beautiful hand, catching a bullet bare-handed! This actually happened!

And Eddie had also moved to a different position in a short amount of time, ensuring he could dodge the bullet.

This feeling of dodging bullets with speed was so exhilarating, dancing on the tip of death's blade. No wonder Wesker loved to show off so much; this was addictive!

Lisa caught the bullet and, with a squeeze, flattened the pure copper bullet!

"This! This is impossible!" Frederick roared, somewhat exasperated. Bang, bang, bang! Three more bullets were fired, but the result remained unchanged.

Lisa easily caught the bullets fired from the pistol. This pistol model was the most common defensive type, with a bullet speed of only a hundred meters per second, and in fact, fifty meters was already its limit.

This speed, to ordinary people, meant being hit as soon as the gun fired, but Lisa's superhuman physique still allowed her to catch the bullets. To her, this speed was incredibly slow.

"Still resisting?" Eddie sneered. With two super bodyguards, even against a rocket launcher, he was confident he could retreat unscathed!

"What do you want! I'll give you money, won't that suffice?" Frederick said, somewhat flustered. He was a very fearful man, and it was precisely because he feared death that he coveted wealth.

"Give money? How much can you give me? I'm not short of money at all. I don't object to you leaving, but taking away company secrets is too much. How about this: tell me who you're working for and all the details, and I'll consider letting you go," Eddie said lightly.

Frederick remained silent, worried that the other party was just tricking him and would kill him as soon as he finished speaking.

Eddie scoffed, "I've already given you a lot of face by not telling Sergei about you. Guess what would happen if you fell into his hands? He loves pain and torment the most; it's quite normal for people to have hobbies."

"No! No, I'll talk, I'll talk!" Frederick immediately cried out, genuinely afraid of Sergei.

Sergei's interests were very peculiar; he often enjoyed tormenting experimental subjects. Sometimes, even researchers would find it nauseating. And he seemed to be researching this torment as well; a portion of the virus mutations in the Resistance Plan were proposed by him.

Chapter 153: Agent Rachel, the Ball King

Frederick swallowed hard. This was a deterrent, warning him not to speak carelessly or hide any facts. "I'll talk, I'll talk. It was Senator Lorn who contacted me. He's a powerful figure and has a very good relationship with a pharmaceutical company. As long as I get the T-Virus and G-Virus, he'll arrange for me to leave Umbrella and take up a position at the new company."

Eddie sneered, "And help you erase your past, clean your records, so you can start anew, secretly continue making money in a new position, right!"

"How did you know?" Frederick was stunned. He deliberately didn't mention getting his records cleaned, wanting to keep a fallback.

"Heh heh, of course I know what you're doing. Don't try to fool me. Since you're not being honest, I'll give you a little lesson." Eddie finished speaking and nodded to Jessica.

Jessica walked up directly and delivered a whip kick, striking Frederick's waist and sending him flying.

Frederick, who had been kicked flying, knocked over a table, then got back up. He felt unbearable pain where he was kicked, as if one of his kidneys had been damaged.

"That kick didn't feel good, did it? You have twenty minutes to explain everything clearly and then get emergency medical attention, otherwise, any later, you might lose a kidney!" Eddie sneered. In fact, he was making the other party an eunuch; one could live with one kidney, but it wouldn't prove anything.

"What! I'll talk, everything I said is true. Senator Lorn contacted me, and I don't want to continue working at Umbrella either. You don't know, William has gone crazy. Some researchers were even just angered by him and were used as experimental subjects, all dying and turning into monsters. I don't want to die!" Frederick said in a panic.

"Senator Lorn?" Eddie knew, that fat, greasy-faced guy. But wasn't that guy working for Kaplan? How could he contact Frederick?

Eddie thought for a moment, then said, "You can leave Umbrella, and you can take the samples you want, but you need to do one thing: send the T-Virus infected monsters to this email. You don't need to worry about anything else; you just need to tell him that this is all Mr. Kaplan's cooperation suggestion."

"Kaplan?" Frederick remembered the name. Was the other party working for him? Was Eddie also the other party's dog?

"Alright, you can scram." Eddie finished speaking and left, not caring about Frederick's changing expression.

The muddier this water, the better. That email was General Morgan's private email, also found by January. Basically, if you wanted someone's contact information, you could find it.

Leaving the underground hive, Eddie didn't go to find Daniel and William. William still had a green hat on his head. Meeting William, Eddie was afraid he wouldn't be able to control himself and would burst out laughing.

Arriving at a vertical elevator, Jessica leaped up directly, breaking a ventilation duct. A woman cried out in pain and fell down, caught by Eddie.

Swish! The woman pulled out a tactical dagger from her calf and stabbed without hesitation. A delicate pale hand reached out, caught the sharp dagger, and then twisted it forcefully, crushing the dagger into a ball of scrap metal.

Jessica threw the woman to the ground. "Miss Agent, we need to have a good talk. Why take the ventilation duct instead of the path? Aren't you afraid of freezing to death?"

Rachel stood up and pulled out a firearm. After seeing the figure clearly, she couldn't help but exclaim, "Eddie Cai!"

"You know me?" Eddie raised an eyebrow.

"Of course, both drugs you developed are outstanding, and you're on the CIA's investigation list because of them. I'm a CIA agent, of course I know you." Rachel put down her gun. She knew she couldn't beat him; it was her intuition. Just like when she received the mission to investigate the Queen Zenobia, she knew her fate would be death and failure.

"It's easy for me to get on that list. I want to know what you're doing here, secretly investigating Umbrella's research facility, or preparing to receive someone?" Eddie asked.

"I'm just here to investigate; I haven't received any other orders." Rachel answered honestly.

"Alright, Ms. Rachel, are you married?" Eddie suddenly asked an irrelevant question.

Rachel shook her head, "No, I don't have a boyfriend either. What, you're so rich, do you still look down on me? Please tell me your thoughts, Mr. Eddie!"

Rachel's eyes were covered by special bangs. Although her eyes couldn't be seen, she had a unique beauty from the covering. Her skin was fair, like a model's, and very eye-catching. Such a woman was a stunner, and with her identity as a spy, it was indeed easy to make people imagine things.

"Nothing, don't misunderstand. I just want to cooperate with you. I know your intuition is very accurate; this is your talent. However, as a woman, you still have some gap in strength compared to other agents, and an agent's career is extremely dangerous. You also need better conditions to protect yourself." Eddie began his brainwashing and persuasion.

"Heh heh, Mr. Eddie is really thinking for me. Feel free to speak directly; I'll consider it." Rachel crossed her arms, neither refusing nor agreeing, but rather finding the other party very interesting. Perhaps she could learn some of his secrets, and reporting back would earn her a good reward.

"Come with me, this isn't the place to talk, but you'll have to endure a little." Eddie smiled.

Just as Rachel was about to say something, Jessica knocked her out with a hand chop. The speed was so fast that even she, with her professional training, didn't react, and the force was very precise, knocking her out without injuring her.

Lisa, on the side, took a large black bag, put Rachel directly inside, and then carried her on her shoulder, looking as if she was transporting some experimental subject.

When Rachel woke up, she found herself in front of a laboratory, and Eddie was mixing some kind of potion, as if something bad was about to happen!

Chapter 154: Rachel's Choice of Patron

"What do you want to do?" Rachel asked, remaining calm from being knocked out to waking up, a necessary psychological quality for an excellent agent.

"A gift for you. I think you're a smart woman. I have something I want to cooperate with you on, but before we cooperate, I need to prove my strength first. You're very lucky; I think you're a good partner." Eddie smiled, picking up a test tube filled with light blue serum.

"What gift? It seems I have no choice." Rachel was very frank. She knew this young entrepreneur was also a medical genius. Was he planning to control her with poison? That would be too naive.

Rachel was very cooperative, gradually falling into slumber in the cryo-chamber. She didn't know what she was about to face, but she had no room to resist. From the ventilation duct, it was clear that it was a full six meters above the ground, and that female bodyguard had jumped up directly to knock her down. This strength already surpassed that of normal people!

Looking at Rachel, who had already undergone serum modification, Eddie nodded. The current data was all very good. Only after Rachel was strengthened and experienced the benefits of power would she believe him.

Even professional agents would be attracted to him; this was the benefit of knowledge. He himself had undergone T-Virus modification and strengthening, becoming something like a superman. What reason was there to doubt?
