Chapter 134 - 134

Upon entering the gun shop, Eddie noticed that all the firearms were gone. "Huh, did you move?"

"No, I distributed the weapons to the surrounding residents so they could have some means of self-defense. I can only help them that much," Kendo said with a hint of sadness, unsure if it was due to many neighbors turning into zombies.

"Aren't you leaving yet? Otherwise, take my car and leave. This place can't be stayed in anymore; there will be many dangers," Eddie advised.

"I know. I'm waiting for Barry; he should be here soon. I'll wait for him on the rooftop. Emma is in your hands. Emma said she wants to leave with you. Don't let anything happen to her, or I really won't let you off," Kendo nodded.

"Is Barry only picking you up?" Eddie asked, puzzled.

"Yes, I heard there are others too, but I'm not sure. That guy is quite stubborn. Oh, Moira is also in the basement. You can handle that yourself. I'll wait for news here," Kendo waved his hand, indicating he didn't want to chat with his son-in-law.

The three walked into the gun shop and headed to the basement, where Kendo modified weapons.

Claire teased, "You're really popular. It looks like he's entrusting his daughter to you."

"Because Emma and I, which is Kendo, signed a twenty-year contract, hehe, so he misunderstood," Eddie chuckled mischievously. He felt happy whenever he thought of those contracts.

"Twenty years? That's quite a long time, hehe. Maybe I'll apply to your company in the future too!" Claire smiled sweetly, her eyes curving into crescents.

"That would be great. I'll definitely give you the best contract. Actually, sometimes I wonder if you'd look good with short hair in the future, just like Svetlana," Eddie thought of the future Claire, with long, flowing youthful hair, and short, charming, mature hair.

"Just talk, why drag me into it? Be careful, or I'll hit you!" Svetlana brandished a pink fist, one that could punch through steel plates.

Arriving in the basement, Moira was busy assembling parts with Emma.

"Finished, so tired. Huh, Eddie, why are you here?" Moira wiped her sweat, greeting him casually.

"Eddie, you're here? Sorry, I just saw you called many times," Emma gently smoothed her short hair; her refreshing short hair suited her profession better.

"I heard you're researching new weapons?" Eddie walked over, wanting to examine the weapon on the table.

It was a gun very similar to an assault rifle, with some strange devices on it.

"This is an electromagnetic rifle. It incorporates an electromagnetic structure that Sister Svetlana gave me last time. I used it to develop a rifle. You can try it; the power should be decent," Emma picked up the rifle and gestured with it.

Eddie picked up the rifle and examined it. It was different from what he remembered; that was an electromagnetic cannon, or a handheld electromagnetic cannon, both unlike the one in his hand.

Outside, facing a car fifty meters away, Eddie, with Emma's help, opened several switches and pulled the trigger.

A blue-glowing bullet flew out, accurately hitting the car fifty meters away, causing it to explode instantly!

"What kind of gun is this?" Eddie was a bit stunned. This could be considered a miniature electromagnetic gun, right?

Emma proudly said, "This is a small, simplified electromagnetic gun. The bullets will carry a powerful current. When these currents hit an object, they will cause the residual gunpowder in the bullet to detonate more intensely! However, this gun might be a bit dangerous to use; you need to be careful."

"Are you treating me like a guinea pig?!" Eddie chuckled mischievously.

"No way! How could you be a guinea pig? You also participated in the creation. Hmph, this is called testing, not a guinea pig. If you keep saying that, I'll hit you, okay? Don't think I'm easy to bully, hmph, I bite too!" Emma bared her small fangs, completely without any menace.

"Alright, you really made a very good weapon. I look forward to you being able to create a small handheld electromagnetic cannon in the future. Keep it up, I'll take good care of you." Eddie nodded very seriously.

"Who needs you to take care of them! Hmph, conceited." Emma proudly ran off. She was going to pack her things and prepare to evacuate. Women are truly a bit shy.

Chapter 225: Sister Wang is Injured, Eddie Goes Berserk

After a quick wash in the gun shop, and after Emma and Moira had packed their things, the five continued their journey. This time, they were headed to a warehouse near the apartment, where there was a helicopter they could use, reserved for when they had no other options.

"Eddie, how do you think Raccoon City can return to normal in the end? Can the vaccine you developed save people who have already mutated into zombies?" Claire asked a question of significant concern.

"No, if they have already turned into zombies, using the vaccine will kill them directly. They are no longer considered human," Eddie explained while driving.

Soon they arrived near the opera house. The flashing neon lights still advertised the season's hottest movies. The alley was surrounded by barbed wire, originally to keep out thugs, but now serving a unique purpose in preventing zombies from entering.

When Eddie arrived, he suddenly noticed Ada nearby, surrounded by many zombies.

"Tsk, this woman is always so self-important. Wait for a moment; I'll take care of those zombies." Eddie stopped the car, then quickly leaped across abandoned vehicles, kicking a zombie flying. The clawing, snarling zombies were only superficially terrifying; with a little courage, fighting them was effortless. It only became troublesome when there were too many.

Ada continued to attack the zombies with her pistol, while also skillfully using her high heels to kick zombies apart. Strengthened by the G-Virus, Ada's combat ability was no weaker than Eddie's. Even when surrounded by zombies, she showed little panic.

"Are you alright? Why are you fighting zombies here? If you really want to fight, you could go to the streets of Raccoon City; there are more zombies there," Eddie walked over and teased her.

Ada elbowed a zombie away, then delivered a spinning kick that sent another zombie flying, knocking down others. "I'm tracking a G-Monster, said to be a high-ranking Umbrella research director who mutated. He's wandering around, and I should be able to extract samples from him."

"Is working for Simmons really that much fun? You don't need to throw yourself into danger for a bit of money," Eddie persuaded.

"You don't understand, this is my profession. You don't need to follow me; I'm confident I can deal with it," Ada shook her head, perhaps to prove herself? Or to maintain distance from Eddie. Once a spy has personal attachments, unnecessary emotions, they become very dangerous and prone to making mistakes during missions.

"All I know is that I don't want you to hand over the G-Virus to Simmons. He and I are enemies." Eddie felt very angry; he didn't want Ada to have too much contact with Simmons.

Ada suddenly smiled. "Are you jealous? How does it feel to be jealous? Is it tasty?"

"What! I'm not jealous, absolutely not! Ada, I don't want you with Simmons. He's a guy with no bottom line. All that talk about maintaining the Federation's world status is just nonsense." Eddie was very wary; even if Ada had no affection for Simmons, it still wasn't acceptable.

Ada shook her head, smiling. "You're really like a child. I forgot, you really are a child to me. Don't worry, little one, I'm just fulfilling my duties as entrusted. Besides, didn't you say the G-Virus isn't a good thing? What would happen if I added some ingredients to it for him?"

"This is between him and me. I already have a plan. I can make Simmons lose everything, turning him from a security advisor into a stray dog!" Eddie looked very confident, largely because he possessed unique advantages.

Ada really wanted to laugh, and also felt a little emotional. "Actually, I'm not worth you doing this. A spy is destined not to have emotions."

"Wait, didn't you say you were a freelance spy? Is it so hard to be an ordinary woman, get married, and have children?" Eddie expressed his incomprehension.

"When you can understand, you'll know why. Isn't Svetlana the same?" Ada could only pull Svetlana out as a shield.

"I think I'll understand you." Eddie could only say that. He'd investigate later to see what was really going on with his Sister Wang. Was there still something unknown she had to deal with?

Thump! Suddenly, a loud bang. A large claw appeared from the ground, sending Ada flying. There were already bloodstains on her arm; she was heavily injured in an instant.

"Ada!" Eddie was about to go to her rescue when the ground shook again. Dr. William, who had evolved to his second form with fingers turned into claws, reappeared.

"William! You're just a clone! Get out of my way!" Eddie charged forward, launching rapid attacks, his fists continuously striking William.

William was repeatedly pushed back, and some spikes had appeared on his body, used for defense.

Eddie's hands were immediately gushing blood from the punctures. The intense pain made Eddie even more furious. This monster actually injured Ada, injured Sister Wang! There was also a strong stench on the claws, seemingly the smell of the G-Virus. Being hit by this claw could very likely lead to infection!

Not parasitic infection, but infection by the G-Virus, just like when the William clone injected himself with it earlier.

Svetlana also quickly arrived, picking up a Magnum and firing as she walked, her high heels clanking powerfully on the floor.

The enraged William attacked Svetlana again. The evolved William was clearly more berserk, with increased strength and speed.

Unprepared, Svetlana couldn't dodge in time and was about to be hit. But Eddie blocked in front of Svetlana, grabbing two zombies and using them as a human shield to block William's massive claw strike.

He was sent flying, but Eddie quickly adjusted his posture in mid-air. There were claw marks on his left arm and thigh, and a stinging sensation burned in the wounds, as if he had been infected with the G-Virus!

"What are you doing!" Svetlana was very confused. She wasn't happy about being saved by Eddie; she only felt confusion and heartache.
