Chapter 239: Sienna's Business Card Hint
As soon as they stepped out of the building, they saw Sienna approaching. "Eddie, Professor Pete was shot and killed, and we can't find any information about the vaccine."
"So you want Eddie to give you the information, right? Why should he give it to you? Do you deserve it?" Wolf Mother immediately walked over to mock her. She didn't know why, but she just didn't like Sienna. Perhaps it was a woman's sixth sense, an interesting way to prevent a foxy woman from getting close to her man.
Ada, however, remained silent, watching everything with a smile. She was very curious about what Eddie would do—give it or not give it? Not giving it would offend the military, but giving it would make her look down on him. It was a dilemma, with no good choice.
Eddie's mind was racing, especially in front of so many women. How could he show off and maintain his unique individuality?
"I've said it before, Umbrella's people will send out their private armed forces to destroy all evidence unfavorable to Umbrella and kill all personnel. It's normal that you can't find anything; Umbrella never intended for you to find it," Eddie explained nonchalantly.
"Then why didn't they target you? You also know many of Umbrella's secrets," Sienna asked curiously, her beautiful eyes blinking, seemingly hinting at another coffee date.
"They can't kill me, and they have no way to kill me. I'm just a lucky guy who reaps what others sowed." Eddie self-mocked. He would never portray himself as high and mighty. Ambition? Sorry, his ambition was simple: to live forever with the women he loved.
"Then what hints can you give us? After it's done, I'll treat you to coffee." Sienna winked, flirting again.
"You can look for Professor Pete's good friend, a surgeon at the general hospital. He's also very knowledgeable about virology. If you give him Pete's research data, it might be useful. That's all. We have things to do, so we're leaving first." Eddie said, then walked away without looking back.
"Wait, take this. Remember to call me." Sienna made a phone gesture to her ear, chuckled, and then left.
Eddie took a postcard with a lipstick print and a string of phone numbers.
Ada's expression was strange. "You're really lucky."
"What? What did you say? I don't understand at all," Eddie feigned ignorance.
Svetlana, however, took the postcard and examined it carefully, her gaze not on the bright red mark, but on the string of Morse code. "You are indeed very lucky. This is not the place to talk."
Everyone returned to the subway station and took the subway back. Svetlana held up the postcard. "Keep it safe; it will be useful to you later."
"Uh, I thought you guys would be jealous," Eddie teased.
"You're overthinking it. That woman did it on purpose. She's telling you something in Morse code. You can ask Karena what these codes mean. I've met that Sienna before. Before she served in the Marines, she was a famous spy. Many scandals and secrets from long-term Senators were dug up by her. She's a very capable woman." A glint flashed in Ada's beautiful eyes.
"Using a honey trap to get secrets?" Eddie's expression was very strange. Wouldn't that be, well, thought-provoking?
Ada seemed to see through the man's thoughts, extending a fair, elegant finger to tap him on the forehead, appearing very intimate. "Idiot, she's not like those courtesans. No man can take advantage of her. If she wasn't capable, she wouldn't have been able to recruit the Echo Six Team. They are the elite of the elite."
Now he understood why Sienna had that expression; she had been feigning it all along. To truly think she had a crush on him was really overthinking it.
"Karena is driving. What does the Morse code Sienna gave mean?" Eddie didn't understand. This specialized knowledge belonged to the special forces field, completely different from his own. He was completely clueless.
Svetlana folded her arms, adopting the pose characteristic of a strong woman. "Do not approach the Waste Disposal Plant. Leave Raccoon City as soon as possible."
"Is that all? The Waste Disposal Plant? Could it be! Never mind, let's go back first." Eddie knew there was a big problem here and decided to ignore it for now.
Returning to the subway station, it had been attacked by several Lickers, but no major casualties were sustained.
"Thank goodness you're finally back. Welcome, welcome!" Carlos laughed.
"Here's your vaccine. Get an injection quickly. Has the subway been restored? We need to leave Raccoon City immediately." Eddie threw the vaccine over, then took Ada and the other women into a train car.
"It's mostly restored. We were just waiting for you. I'll go tell the captain, sorry." Carlos picked up the vaccine and went to find Mikhail.
Soon, Mikhail, who had received a vaccine injection, immediately walked over and saluted Eddie.
"The vaccine you brought back saved all of us. Thank you," Mikhail said solemnly.
"It's nothing. We both got what we needed. Can we leave now?" Eddie nodded, appearing very calm.
"Of course. We've already changed the tracks and can go directly to the Clock Tower. Also, I chased Nikolai away. He would kill his own teammates for money; he doesn't deserve to be a comrade." Mikhail's expression was very angry.
"He's an observer, right? That's normal. Some people will do anything for money. Did you leave him outside the subway station?" Eddie chuckled.
"That scum ran pretty fast, otherwise I would have let him taste a bullet. Betraying teammates for information—people like that should be shot on sight." Mikhail was still very angry.
"I'm not interested in such matters. If we can leave, let's go. Umbrella is finished. Over a hundred thousand people in Raccoon City have become zombies. No matter how much the Western Federation tolerates it, the federal citizens below will not tolerate such a thing and will definitely make a judgment against Umbrella."
"The Global Pharmaceutical Association, Tricell, Shenya Pharmaceutical, and others will all take action. If even God can bleed, then the outcome is to be carved up by sharks. Find a way out early. If you don't have any good ideas, you can call me, but there will be a charge." Eddie pulled out a postcard.
"Oops, wrong one. It's this one." Eddie glanced at it. This was the one Sienna gave him; the other was his business card.
Chapter 240: Sister Wang Is as Capable as Ever
"Your Biohazard Unit hasn't been wiped out yet? That's quite rare. In front of Umbrella, everyone is cannon fodder. If you don't have extraordinary abilities, death is a normal occurrence." Eddie's expression was calm.
"Are you the same?" Mikhail's pale beard trembled, seemingly a little angry.
"Of course. That's why I can't wait for Umbrella to go bankrupt. I still have a score to settle with them." Eddie looked out the window. The subway had started and was heading towards the Clock Tower.
"Then count me in. Although I'm just a mercenary, I can still contribute," Carlos said, walking over, his expression also becoming very resolute.
The subway traveled for twenty minutes. Fortunately, the tracks ahead were undamaged, and the underground cockroaches hadn't come up, otherwise it would have taken some time.
The train stopped smoothly at the subway station, but the station was almost entirely occupied by zombies.
"Strange, why are there so many zombies here? Isn't this supposed to be the defense line? Everyone, grab your weapons! Survivors, don't open the doors! All units, be alert! Open fire and kill the enemy!" Mikhail quickly gave the order. If he didn't get a chance to self-destruct and be a true man, then he would carve a bloody path through the mountain of corpses.
Eddie also felt something was wrong. "It's as if someone deliberately lured the zombies here."
"Are you scared, Eddie? Don't worry, I'll protect you." Moira slapped his shoulder carelessly.
"Alright, I'm looking forward to it." Eddie didn't refuse.
"You really don't have any masculinity at all." Svetlana's smile held a hint of amusement.
"That stuff can't be eaten, so what's the point? Be practical, beautiful lady, I'm very realistic." Eddie didn't care at all. He was a true villain; a villain didn't need to uphold appearances.
Bang! The car door opened, and Eddie fired first. Facing a large number of zombies, he delivered a heavy kick, sending a zombie flying and clearing some space. Wolf Mother Karena followed with a flurry of kicks, sending the clawing zombies further away.
