Cherreads

Chapter 197 - 197

Blood dyed this area of the sea red. Eddie pulled Sienna and Caroline towards the shore. "Don't be silly, swim faster. We're no match for them in the water."

Jessica used ultrasonic waves to disperse the sharks, escorting her man towards the shore.

The other special forces members who fell into the water weren't so lucky; they were directly swallowed by the mutated great white sharks, without even time to react.

HUNK and the others didn't look back, but kept swimming forward. A decisive battle with sharks in the water was unwise. Sharks are overlords in the water, but useless on land.

Boom! Explosions occasionally came from the water, followed by the surfacing corpses of sharks blown apart!

Chapter 328: Nemesis

These special forces members clearly had high quality. When swallowed, they would pull the pin on a grenade, perishing with the shark in its belly. Very manly, these were true warriors.

They quickly swam to the shore. If it weren't for Lisa and Jessica, Eddie alone would have had a tough time. Sharks couldn't kill him, but they would make him very uncomfortable.

Sienna was also panting rapidly. She was a bit grateful to Eddie now and understood why her best friend Caroline had a connection with Eddie. No woman would refuse a man like him.

"Thank you!" Sienna could only utter these two words.

Eddie waved his hand, "Cut it out, unless you're offering yourself. " After a teasing remark, he pulled out a submachine gun and began to suppress the mutated sharks in the distance.

"I'm afraid you wouldn't dare!" Sienna raised an eyebrow. It was a good thing she wasn't wearing makeup today, or her true colors would have been exposed.

Tat-tat-tat! The submachine gun fire rang out, hindering some of the mutated shark attacks, helping more special forces members get ashore. Then came the Federation of Pharmaceutical Companies mercenaries, whose planes had also been shot down.

The bombing just now did not destroy Rockfort Island's facilities; the power supply here remained intact.

Roar! Zombies on the island began to converge in this direction, and Hunter also appeared. It seemed the military officer here had prepared long ago.

"We need to hurry and get out of this hellhole. Engaging Hunter here isn't a good option." No sooner had Eddie finished speaking than he delivered a roundhouse kick, sending an incoming rocket flying into the sky.

Boom, the rocket exploded in mid-air, its fiery light dispelling the dark atmosphere.

Standing on the island's cliff, a brand new Nemesis appeared again, with a ferocious appearance and the classic look of carrying a rocket launcher, making it impossible not to recognize him.

"Federation Army, die!" Nemesis repeated the phrase in a hoarse voice, then began sweeping a large area with a Gatling machine gun.

Eddie immediately started running quickly, pulling Caroline and Sienna, covering five hundred meters in a minute, even carrying them directly. He didn't put them down until they were hiding behind a cliff wall.

"Give me a heads-up next time so I can prepare a bit." Sienna felt a little nauseous and took out her water bottle to rehydrate herself.

The special forces members and mercenaries who had just landed on the shore immediately suffered heavy casualties. With mutated sharks behind them and Nemesis sweeping with a Gatling gun in front, they had no way out.

Bang! HUNK used a sniper rifle to hit Nemesis's head, causing a slight stagger. "Follow me, let's get off the beach first." He said, then took off running.

The mercenaries and special forces could only disperse. It was too chaotic here, not a place to gather. They had to spread out, land on the island, and then regroup.

In just one encounter, Nemesis, in that specific environment, caused the deaths of nearly fifty team members, more than half of whom were regular special forces.

"I'm Jettingham. We're under attack on Rockfort Island. There are mutated sharks near the coast, please be careful. Their bite force might be able to pierce a submarine. We need fire support." Jettingham communicated via radio.

"Received. You first land on the island and secure the outer beachhead. The navy will soon dispatch a fleet to assist you. Remember, clear the way for the fleet's advance!" General Morgan commanded from the Command room.

This battle was extraordinary. He wanted to find evidence against Umbrella and demonstrate how brutal a war involving biochemical weapons could be, so that those Senators would be afraid and increase investment in the Committee.

"Received, received." Jettingham had no choice but to carry out the orders issued by Command first.

"Sienna, Caroline, where are you? Come and rendezvous on the east side. If you can't make it, then attack the beachhead fortress. We need to open a path for the navy's fleet to enter." Jettingham ordered.

"We need to protect Dr. Eddie; he's collecting samples. We'll fight our way up from the west later!" Sienna replied.

On the balcony of a castle room, Alfred, with his slicked-back hair, looked at the island, which was on fire everywhere, with immense fury. "Damn it, you beasts, how dare you attack my territory. You're simply seeking death. Harman, deploy the mass-produced The Bandersnatch to deal with them."

"Received, Master." The old butler Harman respectfully said, a trace of disgust flashing imperceptibly in his eyes. This unfilial son was making him feel increasingly nauseated.

Click, with the Command given, in the factory behind, a large number of cryo-chambers opened. One by one, two-meter-tall humanoid monsters walked out. They were hunched, their left arms almost completely gone, and their right arms long and thick, dragging on the ground as they walked.

These disabled versions of Tyrants are actually called The Bandersnatch. Compared to the elite Tyrants, these bio-weapons focus more on quantity, being cheap items that can be mass-produced to break enemy defenses.

After Wesker escaped from prison, he originally wanted to directly capture Alfred, but seeing the tide of The Bandersnatch surging in, he chose to hide and observe the situation.

Meanwhile, Chris, after finding the medicine, returned to the prison, eliminating a few zombies along the way. He gave a bottle of painkillers to the warden and then began to help Joseph remove the bullet.

Rodriguez calmly watched Chris perform the simple bullet removal surgery. "You're Chris? A S.T.A.R.S. member from Raccoon City?"

"I am. What's wrong?" Chris didn't particularly dislike the dark skinned man in front of him. This guy knew to let them out, so he was a person with a conscience.

"All you Raccoon City survivors are under Umbrella's surveillance. If you defy the company's interests, you'll be arrested or directly killed. Umbrella's power is still vast; don't think it's just a pharmaceutical company. In short, be careful." Rodriguez said, then coughed twice.

"We need to find evidence of Umbrella's crimes; they must be punished. Over a hundred thousand people in Raccoon City died because of their mistakes. I will make them pay the price!" Chris said firmly, clenching his fist.

"Suit yourself. If you want to look, I suggest you go to the archive room. You'll need to pass through the factory, where there are many experimental bio-weapons. Someone is attacking on the island; perhaps they are your companions." Rodriguez offered a suggestion.

Chapter 329: Frank and Fierce Sienna

"No need. I was originally a resident of this island. Umbrella's arrival broke the island's tranquility, and the residents here have been conscripted. Before this, I only discovered that they had all become experimental monsters. I'm already injured, and I can't move. You go on your own." Rodriguez waved his hand.

"Being so despondent won't help. I know someone who makes vaccines. If you're infected, you can get a vaccine shot, and nothing will happen. Your experience is the same as mine. Are you just going to watch Umbrella commit evil? We need to make them pay a heavy price!" Chris said, clenching his fist and stepping forward.

"The only place I can protect is the cemetery outside. I can't do more." Rodriguez shook his head.

"Forget it, Chris, that guy's just a coward. I'm fine, let's go. Let's find a computer first and contact our comrades outside. Captain Enrico and Kevin went to work for the Federal Bio-Terrorism Commission; maybe we can ask him for help." Joseph suggested.

Chris, having no other choice, could only act with Joseph. Old teammates were reliable.

Near the beach, Pharmaceutical Association mercenaries and a portion of Federation Special Forces formed a mixed unit and launched an attack on the beach. Since most of the heavy firepower was on the planes, there wasn't a single intact plane in the sky.

This led to the mixed unit being suppressed, completely outmatched by Nemesis.

Fortunately, there was only Nemesis here. The guard forces had already died after the first round of bombing. Coupled with Glory Pharmaceutical Company agents spreading the T-Virus, the guards here were reanimated as zombies after death.

This Nemesis was very focused; his programmed objective was infiltration, not frontal combat. He used high mobility to engage in skirmishes with these special forces on the island.

This allowed the mixed unit to gain a foothold, charging through obstacles composed of Zombie Dogs, zombies, and Hunter.

"Sienna, are you investigating me?" Eddie looked at the battle ahead, pulling out his submachine gun and asking.

"You're very mysterious. Many people want to investigate you, and are investigating you. I'm just one of them." Sienna admitted quite frankly.

"Remember, you owe me many lives. Remember to repay me after you go back." Eddie reminded her.

"Come at me if you dare. I'm not afraid." Sienna raised an eyebrow. How could she back down now?

"Be careful of accidental pregnancy." Caroline suddenly interjected.
