Chapter 217 - 217

"I'm not worried about that. Have you studied how to use firearms?" Eddie suddenly asked.

This made Jill a little confused. Why would her husband ask such a question?

Sheva nodded, "Yes, before this, I was a member of the local guerrilla force. How did you know?"

"People who use firearms for a long time will have different fingers, with calluses. That's why I asked. Whether it's a local armed force or a mercenary, it's actually a profession. As long as you're true to yourself, any profession can be a source of pride." Eddie smiled.

"Thank you!" Sheva's expression was calm.

After a tour of the construction site, the group arrived at Kenneth's home. This was in a small town, and remote towns were always crowded, with street vendors everywhere.

The low-rise houses were no more than three stories high. Occasionally, houses made only of corrugated iron could be seen. Wouldn't the people inside be roasted alive when the sun was fierce?

Kenneth's house was a two-story villa, not particularly exquisite, but it was quite tidy.

"Please sit down, I'll go cook. Today, I'll let you taste authentic roasted meatballs and sachima!" Kenneth laughed heartily, clearly very hospitable.

Jill and Anlra sat opposite each other, chatting, while Eddie looked around the house. Soon, Sheva returned; her work for the morning was over.

"Eddie, I want to ask you for a favor. Sheva is very talented, and I don't want her talent to be buried. It's very barren here, and I hope I can send her to the Federation for further study. She's a very good warrior." Anlra pleaded.

Sheva was a little surprised, "No, Aunt Anlra, I don't need to." She didn't want to owe too many favors. Favors were the hardest to repay, and also the simplest if one was heartless and shameless; no one could do anything about her.

"Child, this is what you deserve. Eddie, can you grant me this request?" Anlra pleaded. She couldn't use the child in her belly as leverage. She was very smart; as long as she played the victim, a man would definitely not refuse. Most men respond to gentleness, not toughness!

Eddie was a little amused. This was just a small request, not to mention the other party was carrying his child. "Of course, no problem, it's just a small favor. Do you want her to go to university?"

Anlra nodded, "Yes, learning knowledge and making more friends would be very helpful for Sheva. I will take care of the tuition fees."

"Tuition fees are a small matter, not worth mentioning. If that's the case, I could let her join the Federal Bio-Terrorism Commission. They're recruiting new people there recently, and everyone goes through training. I know people there, that guy Morgan has a partnership with me. That's a place that concentrates Federation resources, very good." Eddie suddenly thought of a good idea.

"Can she? Will it be dangerous?" Anlra was a little worried. She hoped Sheva would succeed, not go to her death.

"No problem, I'll arrange everything. You just need to rest assured. Sheva, are you willing? If you study at the Federal Bio-Terrorism Commission, you can make more friends, learn, and practice firearms. All of this will be very helpful to you, but the premise is that you are willing, that you have such a desire. If you're not willing, you won't learn anything." Eddie suggested.

Sheva nodded with some anticipation, "I am willing. I want to learn more knowledge. If I graduate, will I need to work there?"

"You'll probably need to work there for a period of time, just to go through the motions. You can resign after that; with me, it's no problem at all." Eddie made a guarantee, patting his chest.

Jill, however, thought of something. Her husband was suddenly so kind; it was a bit out of character for him. What was he scheming?

Soon, Eddie and Anlra finalized the matter: sending Sheva to the Federation for further study, and the compensation would be discussed later.

"Why did you choose to become a guerrilla fighter? I can see that you don't really like fighting; was it out of necessity?" Jill asked a question.

Anlra added, "Her parents used to work in a chemical factory in another region, a chemical factory under Umbrella. The explosion at the time was an attack, which led to the destruction of the facilities. Her parents also died in that accident. There were suspicions that Umbrella was cleaning up after a certain experiment."

"Umbrella? They have branches in Africa too!" Jill exclaimed.

"They have branches all over the world. They are not only involved in cruel biochemical viruses, but also in military and other fields. Don't be surprised when you see their factories; that's a sign of their immense wealth." Eddie expressed it humorously.

Chapter 361: Crazy Monica

The caller was Kaplan. After hearing Eddie's words, his expression changed. He seemed to understand what it meant to be a tiger fallen into the sun, bullied by dogs. "It's me, Kaplan!"

"I know. Now the Federation families all think Simmons is more suitable. Your previous solo operation was not bad. What? Do you want to borrow money for a boat ticket? I'm afraid Simmons won't allow you to leave the country." Eddie lit a cigarette and sat comfortably on the sofa.

Sheva watched with some curiosity. The man in front of her was gentle and refined just now, but now he had transformed, like the domineering CEO in legends, truly strange.

"We can cooperate again." Kaplan said, not giving up. He had to find the best way; he needed an ally.

Dr. Mueller had already been poached, poached by Simmons. The remaining talents either defected to Simmons's laboratory or dispersed to other places.

Because Simmons found an opportunity to cause trouble, Kaplan had almost reached the bottom of the abyss. Being abandoned by everyone was not an exaggeration. At this time, even General Morgan looked at Kaplan as if he were a dog.

Simmons's cunning and wisdom were simply incomparable to Kaplan's. His previous forbearance and subservience were only to deliver a fatal blow to Kaplan.

This was also why Simmons had not troubled Eddie before; he needed Kaplan as an opponent. Now with power in hand, Simmons could confidently deal with Eddie.

"Although I don't know what grudges you have with Simmons, it's clear he's already targeting you." Kaplan sneered.

"Are you mocking me?" Eddie exhaled smoke rings, his expression very unfriendly.

"No, I'm just telling you a fact. You need an ally, and I promise I will try my best to unite with you. I was too complacent before; people always make mistakes. Eddie, our previous cooperation was pleasant, wasn't it?" Kaplan was still trying hard to persuade him.

"Alright, I happen to be going back to the Federation. We can find an opportunity to talk then. Let's leave it at that for now; I'll contact you." Eddie hung up the phone after speaking.

Kaplan was indeed a very good shield. Keeping him still had some use.

Eddie put away his phone, "Alright, we should go back. That's all for today. Anlra, if you have time, you can come to our laboratory for a check-up; it will be very beneficial for you. Just contact Jill then. We'll come back in two days; that's when it'll be time to depart for the Federation."

"Okay, you take care." Anlra smiled brightly. She was quite satisfied with Eddie; at least this man was responsible and not someone who would just play around and run off.

Returning to the cruise ship, Christine came out with a box and handed it to VECTOR and the others who had arrived, "Deliver this to CEO Excella. It must not be lost."

"Understood." VECTOR nodded, solemnly taking the box.

Eddie got off the plane and saw this scene, finding it a bit strange, "Is it something very important?"

Christine shook her head, "No, Excella asked us to prepare it for her. You wouldn't agree to this, I'll tell you later."

"So mysterious? Whatever you want, just remember not to let anything be used against you." Eddie shook his head. These women were all more intelligent than the last. Sometimes he couldn't stop the things they planned, but at least they wouldn't harm him.

Arriving at the laboratory, Monica had just finished the second phase of her enhancement. She wasn't hungry, but showed signs of wanting to go berserk, her eyes a fiery red. She could still use her reason to control this impulse, "Eddie, help me, I'm in great pain."

Eddie examined Monica and found that everything was normal with her, though it was a bit strange. She seemed to be using some unique method to alleviate these symptoms.

Three hours later, Monica's beautiful eyes returned to normal. She clenched her arms, feeling a surge of power flowing through her body. It made her feel very comfortable, and her eyes had double pupils. When she focused intensely, she could detect things so tiny that they were invisible to the naked eye.

"Is anything uncomfortable?" Eddie drank wolfberry water, replenishing his energy.

"It's great, everything is perfect. Thank you, Eddie, you didn't lie to me, immortality can really be achieved!" Monica found herself looking younger. She couldn't suppress her excitement; this was something no woman could refuse.

"I told you long ago, follow me, and you can get more than you could ever imagine. So, don't have any ulterior motives. To keep you in line, I have a bold idea!" Eddie's smile was a little mischievous.

"Whatever you say, I'll do. I have no objections." Monica lowered her head, looking meek and submissive, not arrogant at all despite her increased strength. She knew very well that Jessica and Lisa, standing over there, could easily defeat her with one hand.

Two days later, after compiling various data, Eddie began to enhance Christine and the others. These women, who had been with him the longest, deserved this treatment. If Jill wasn't pregnant and it wasn't inconvenient, he would have enhanced Jill long ago.

As Christine and Emma entered the cryo-chamber, they also gradually began to go into dormancy.

Eddie looked at the large cryo-chamber in the middle. The proud and beautiful Alexia was still sleeping inside. When she awoke, she would return as a queen, with superhuman strength!

The laboratory was monitored by the supercomputer Red Queen. Any data anomalies would be displayed.

Annette also looked at the cryo-chamber in front of her. Her daughter, Sherry, was also undergoing enhancement inside. As a mother, she had been very unqualified before, and now she only wanted to leave the best things for her daughter.
