"We know. I will make the arrangements." Mia nodded.
At the same time, a middle-aged man was leading a team of people who were rapidly fleeing in vehicles. A large number of Hunters were chasing them. This group was Alan and his party.
They had originally planned to blow up the laboratory, but suddenly some strange, sticky monsters slipped in. They didn't look like zombies; instead, they drained the blood of their attackers, turning them into mummies. This terrified them, and after hastily installing the explosive device, they fled.
If they didn't leave soon, they would be stuck there forever.
Eddie arrived at the Financial Street, where chaos reigned. Many people were covering their faces and picking up money with burlap sacks.
There were many banks here, all containing gold bars and cash. If you didn't take a gamble now, how could your bicycle turn into a motorcycle?
"These people really aren't afraid of death. Don't they know that zombies prefer crowded places?" Eddie looked at the youths who valued money over their lives.
"Today's young people certainly have guts, which is a good thing. We just have to worry that they'll have money but no life left to spend it. That's not our concern." Rachel scoffed. As Eddie's wife, she held an unlimited consumption gold card and didn't need to worry about money at all. A woman supported by her husband was truly blessed!
"Let's go. Once we cross this street, we'll be almost there. We should be able to get back for a late-night snack tonight," Eddie laughed. His eyes could still see very clearly at night.
He could already do this before, but after the T-Phobos Virus was invented by Alex, this ability was enhanced. He could see further at night, and even when transitioning between bright light and darkness, his retina would automatically adjust without affecting his vision.
If the T-Veronica Virus was about strengthening and control, then the T-Phobos Virus was about all-around auxiliary enhancement. Weak areas would not become strong, but strong areas would become even stronger.
Inside a Federal Bank, a man dressed plainly with an extremely ugly face was directing his subordinates to move burlap sacks. They were filled with money; one sack contained five million.
These people carried three or four sacks each, looking strange with their dull expressions and pale skin.
To save time, Eddie chose to cut through the Federal Bank. As soon as he entered, he saw several guards. These guards were holding firearms and speaking a very obscure and incomprehensible language. He didn't know what they were saying, but it was clearly meant to tell him to leave.
Bang! Several guards were directly kicked away by Rachel's high heels, shattering the glass and flying into the lobby, instantly losing all signs of life.
Then, the heads of the fallen guards suddenly burst open, and a worm emerged. The upper half of the worm was a sharp, bony sickle, which it waved continuously. The corpses also staggered back to their feet and began walking toward Eddie.
Bang! Jessica's beautiful eyes widened, and an invisible sound wave whistled past. The worms immediately burst open where they stood, dissolving into a pool of liquid, as if sound waves were the thing they feared most.
The ugly-faced man walked out. Seeing his subordinates dissolved into liquid on the ground, he sneered, "Friend, are you here for the money too? Taking money isn't a problem, but killing my men—that's going a bit too far!"
Eddie looked at the man and asked doubtfully, "Sadler?"
The ugly man paused. "I am. Who are you?"
Eddie sneered, "We met in Idonia. Don't you remember?"
Sadler thought back, then burst into laughter. "So it was you, friend! What are you doing here?"
"I was planning to go to a hotel with this beauty. It's chaotic outside right now, so we were taking a shortcut, but your men blocked the way and wouldn't let me pass. So, I had no choice but to teach them a lesson!" Eddie blew out a smoke ring, his expression amused.
Sadler looked at Rachel. "Friend, you certainly have luck with women. This woman is much better than the last one you had. Since you're not here to steal my money, then leave."
"Alright, I wish you prosperous business." Eddie waved his hand and left with Rachel.
Going to a hotel to rent a room? Please, was such an insane excuse appropriate in a city overrun by monsters?
Sadler clearly didn't believe him; he wasn't an idiot. It was simply because his primary goal was robbing the bank. Furthermore, the power Eddie displayed was too great. He knew he was no match for him, and to avoid being beaten up like last time, he chose to ignore him entirely!
Eddie's expression was amused. He never expected the leader of the Church of Light, Zhang Wuji—ahem, I mean, Sadler—to appear here, bringing these parasite-controlled followers to rob a bank. He really knew how to have fun. Truly a despicable outsider!
Watching Eddie leave, Sadler still restrained the impulse to attack. He didn't have absolute confidence. Moreover, the parasite inside him was feeding back a sense of fear, which was unprecedented. It was clear that the aura brought by Eddie and his group had made the sentient parasite fearful, knowing they were not to be provoked.
After leaving the bank, Rachel whispered, "Honey, I don't think that guy is a good person."
"He certainly isn't a good person; he's a big villain. But even villains like him have some uses. You have to know that even trash has value if you know how to utilize it," Eddie laughed, throwing a punch.
The tremendous force sent the invisible severely wounded creature flying out, and an electric net formed in the air. It instantly turned these water-filled wounded creatures into roast meat before the net dissipated.
Jessica stomped her foot, her high heel striking the floor, and an invisible sonic wave spread out. All the zombies and Bio-Weapons like the Leakers within three kilometers died instantly as their heads exploded due to the Infrasound attack.
A single move cleared the screen—this was the power Jessica achieved after being enhanced by the T-Phobos Virus!
Chapter 487: Queen of Balls Rachel Slanders
With scarlet skin and sharp claws, they looked somewhat similar to a simplified version of the Licker.
What was most striking was that these Crimson Head Zombies were covered in strange black lines, looking like some kind of mycelium. These molds were parasitic on the zombies and posed a risk of further spread, relying on the zombies' nutrients to grow.
Eddie stopped. "What the hell are these things?"
Rachel also took out a folding tool, a simple flamethrower. As long as a small gas canister was attached, it could be used normally. "Then let's burn them to death."
This mutated mold was different from the previous molds.
Eddie waved his hand, and all the mold zombies were controlled and floated into the air.
More than twenty Crimson Head Zombies struggled constantly but to no avail. They were all gathered in the center. Eddie beckoned, and a scalpel flew over.
He cut a thread of mold and a piece of flesh from the Crimson Head Zombies and observed them using a magnifying glass from the laboratory.
Rachel handed the flamethrower to Lisa, then took out a disk and began hacking into the laboratory computer, transmitting the data back to a designated server.
Even if the data was deleted, Rachel wasn't worried in the slightest. She sent the coordinates to January.
Sitting on Goddess Island, wearing a bikini in front of a computer, January was teaching her daughter Mampel, "Sweetheart, watch closely. Mom is going to teach you top-tier hacker operations—data recovery!"
Data recovery required ten minutes, so they had to wait during this time.
Bored, Rachel moved closer to her husband to watch his experiment.
Eddie studied the mold, only discovering its rapid parasitic effect but no other characteristics.
Soon, Eddie turned around, pulled with his right hand, and a Crimson Head Zombie's arm was ripped off, severed by his Magnetic Field Ability. The sight was shocking.
The Crimson Head Zombie, missing an arm, continued to roar, but its pain receptors were gone.
The mold recovered the Crimson Head Zombie's arms at a visible speed. During this process, the zombie, which had only been partially infected, was nearly covered entirely by the mold.
"T-Virus mixed with mold? The virus was just swallowed up, and that's it? I thought it would turn into some terrifying monster," Eddie muttered to himself, observing the experiment.
Rachel chuckled and patted her husband's shoulder. "Honey, you're overthinking it. There aren't that many mutations. If every zombie caught on the street could turn into a Tyrant, they would have been Chosen Ones long ago. Why would they still be zombies?"
What she said made a lot of sense, and it wasn't just simple praise from a wife to her husband.
Where in the world would there be so many mutations? Besides, cloning technology wasn't that easy to master.
The stronger the creature, the more resources and restrictions were involved in cloning it. Even Alexia wouldn't have an easy time with it.
At this moment, General Morgan, who had noticed Eddie's disappearance, was irritated. The Tyrant he had sent to kill them and silence them was also damaged.
Having no choice, General Morgan could only contact her via radio. "Rachel, where are you? Answer quickly!"
Rachel replied in a calm tone, "I am protecting the target, Sir. The target has repeatedly suggested sexual favors. What should I do?"
