Chapter 2 - After 300 Years

"Then… where is Sameer now?"

Yamin looked at his father with curious eyes.

They were sitting inside a small room. A soft light was coming from the lamp.

Siyam stayed quiet for a moment. Then he let out a slow breath.

Siyam:

"No one knows where he is."

He looked outside the window.

"To find that answer… someone has to survive that battlefield. And no one ever returned alive."

Yamin frowned a little.

Yamin:

"Do you think he was right? I mean… Sameer…"

He looked down for a second.

"I feel like… he went too far."

Siyam gave a small smile and leaned back slightly.

Siyam:

"Not everything is simply right or wrong. Maybe… from his side, he was right. But from others… he was wrong."

Yamin stayed quiet. Then he spoke again-

Yamin:

"It has been 300 years… If he is still alive… shouldn't he attack again?"

Siyam didn't answer immediately. His eyes became a little serious.

Siyam:

"Maybe… He is somewhere… waiting."

At that moment- The door suddenly opened.

Humaira walked inside with an annoyed expression.

Humaira:

"Siyam… what are you doing?"

She crossed her arms.

"You filled your own head with these strange stories… And now you are telling them to your son instead of making him sleep?"

Siyam scratched his head awkwardly.

Siyam:

"It's not my fault. He wanted to hear it."

Yamin quickly spoke-

Yamin:

"That's not true! You said you would tell me!"

Siyam looked at him with a shocked face.

Siyam:

"Wow… betraying your father already?"

Humaira sighed.

Humaira:

"Please stop acting like a child in front of him."

"It's late. Let him sleep."

Siyam smiled a little. Then he stood up.

Siyam:

"Alright, alrght… I'm going."

He looked at Yamin.

Siyam:

"Listen… tomorrow is your first day in the Royal City. Do everything I taught you."

Yamin smiled with confidence and raised his head proudly.

Yamin:

"Don't worry, father. I remember everything. I am the strongest thunder user in Libra village. No one can defeat me."

Siyam looked at him for a moment. Then he gave a calm smile.

Siyam:

"Confidence is good… But don't let it control you."

After saying that, Siyam left the room.

Outside-

He stood under the open sky. The stars were shining brightly. Siyam looked up at them quietly. His thoughts became heavy. Time passes so fast…

Once, he was the most famous hero in the "Reuven" continent. People admired him.Everyone wanted to see him.

But now-

He was just a normal man in a small village.

Tomorrow… his son would go to the most prestigious academy in the continent.

Footsteps approached. Humaira came and stood beside him. The wind gently moved her soft pink hair. Siyam looked at her for a moment. Then a faint smile appeared on his face.

This was the woman who stayed with him during his worst time. She left everything… and chose to stay with him. She gave him a peaceful life. Even after 30 years, She still looked the same to him.

Humaira noticed him staring.

Humaira:

"What are you looking at?"

Siyam smiled.

Siyam:

"I was thinking… Will anyone believe… that we have been together for more than 30 years?"

Humaira smiled softly.

Humaira:

"Of course they will."

Then she looked at him seriously.

"And stop worrying so much about Yamin. He is not a child anymore. He has to learn to survive on his own."

Siyam nodded slowly.

Siyam:

"I know… but still…"

Humaira gently rested her head on his shoulder.

Humaira:

"He will be fine."

Siyam looked at her and smiled.

The next morning-

Yamin left for the Royal City in a horse carriage. Siyam stood there, watching. His eyes became a little wet. It was the first time his son was leaving him. The day passed somehow.

At night-

Siyam sat alone in his room. Old books and maps were spread around him. He was searching for one thing-

"Void Imperium."

The place where Sameer was sealed. But no one knew where it was. Or if it even existed.

For 30 years…

This was the only clue he had. He searched everywhere. But found nothing.
