Nandini is pacing back and forth, her phone clutched in her hand. Amit is sitting on the couch, watching her with a concerned frown. He can tell she's agitated—her face is still flushed with that "pale yellow" shock.
Nandini: (Frustrated, throwing her hands up) "I can't believe it, Amit! Arka... he's actually related to that rude guy! I was so excited about the project, but the moment I realized who his brother is, I felt like the air just left the room. How can someone so kind be related to someone so cold?"
Amit: (Sighing, his voice calm but cautious) "Nandini, calm down. If that rude guy is really as bad as you say, why are you even considering this? You know I'm not exactly thrilled about you working with people like that. Their world is... different from ours."
Nandini: "I know! But Arka is so different, Amit. He's the one who found me, who believed in my face for this Indo-Western series. But his brother... the way that rude guy looked at me at the accident, and then again today in the hallway... it's like he's a machine with no soul."
Amit: (Looking at her intensely) "Look, if this makes you happy, do it. I won't stop you from chasing your dream. But promise me you'll stay away from him. Just do your work with Arka and come home."
Nandini: (Nodding, though her heart is still racing) "I'll try. I just hope I never have to see his cold face again."
The Phone Call: Arka's Revelation
Just then, her phone vibrates. It's Arka. Nandini takes a deep breath and answers.
Nandini: "Arka? I... I'm still thinking about the contract. I just didn't realize who you were."
Arka: (His voice is warm and apologetic) "I'm sorry, Nandini. I should have been clearer. I know my brother can be... intimidating. Yes, Aditya De Cruz is my elder brother. And the man you saw with him, Samuel West, is his closest friend and the executive assistant to the Chairman."
Nandini: "Chairman?"
Arka: "Yes. You see, the De Cruz family operates globally, but we've never had a base here in India until now. We've come here to launch De Cruz Fashion India. Aditya is the Chairman of the global empire, and he's personally overseeing this expansion to make it a global hit. But listen to me—I am the one running the fashion wing. Aditya is just teaching me the business side; the creative control and the daily responsibility are mine. You'll be working directly with me."
Nandini: (Stunned) "So they aren't even from here? They moved the whole industry just to start a branch in India?"
Arka: "Exactly. It's a massive move. And you, Nandini, are the face we want to lead this launch. My brother might be the boss of the company, but on the sets, it's my world. Don't let his shadow scare you away from this."
The Aftermath:
Nandini hangs up the phone and looks at Amit.
Nandini: "They're from outside India, Amit. A global empire... and Arka is the one in charge of the fashion part. Aditya is just the Chairman."
Amit: (His expression darkens slightly) "A global Chairman who has already made you this upset? Nandini, be careful. Global empires don't move across the world just for 'business.' They move for power."
