Jay's POV
Sunday morning.
Or… whatever time this was.
"WAKE UP YOU LAZY PEOPLE—"
Felix.
Of course.
I groaned, pulling the blanket over my head. "Shut up…"
David threw a pillow at him. "It's morning, not a war zone."
Cin was still clinging to both me and Keifer like we were his personal pillows.
Keifer muttered, "Get off."
"No," Cin said, half-asleep.
I laughed softly.
Last night's memories came back.
The game.
The teasing.
The kitchen.
…him.
I glanced at Keifer.
He was already looking at me.
And that look—
Yeah, not safe.
"Stop staring," I whispered.
"Make me."
Before I could reply—
Denzel's voice cut in. "Everyone freshen up. We're not living like animals."
Mayo added, "Guest bathroom. Line okayy."
Felix: "I'm first."
David: "You're last."
Chaos.
Keifer's POV
Everyone rushed toward the guest bathroom like it was a race.
Typical.
Jay stood up, stretching slightly, still sleepy.
I walked up behind her. "You can use my room."
She turned. "Your room?"
"Yeah."
She raised an eyebrow. "Why?"
I smirked. "Better space. Less chaos."
She narrowed her eyes. "And?"
"And nothing."
"Liar."
Okay… maybe a little.
She crossed her arms. "I'm not bathing with you."
I almost laughed. "I didn't say that."
"You were thinking it."
"Maybe."
She shook her head. "No chance."
I leaned slightly closer. "Relax. Just use my bathroom."
She hesitated.
"…Fine," she said finally. "But nothing weird."
I held my hands up. "Scout's honor."
"Don't trust you."
"Fair."
Jay's POV
His room.
Why does this feel like a bad idea?
I walked in after a few minutes.
And froze.
The room was huge.
Clean.
Minimal.
Very him.
"Okay… focus," I muttered.
I grabbed a towel and turned—
The bathroom door opened.
And—
I forgot how to breathe.
Keifer stepped out.
Hair wet.
Water droplets still sliding down his neck.
Bare but towel wrapped around his waist.
He ran a hand through his hair casually.
"…You came," he said.
I blinked. "…You just showered?"
"Cold shower."
Why does he look like that after a shower??
"Why are you staring?" he asked, clearly enjoying this.
"I'm not," I said immediately.
"Liar."
He stepped closer.
Danger.
Very dangerous.
Keifer's POV
She's trying to act normal again.
Not happening.
I walked closer, slow enough to not scare her—but enough to make her aware.
"You're quiet," I said.
"So are you."
"No, I'm thinking."
"About?"
"You."
She looked away instantly.
Cute.
I stepped closer until she was almost against the wall.
"Keifer…" she warned softly.
"Hmm?"
"You're too close."
"I know."
She didn't move away.
That's all I needed.
I placed my hand on the wall beside her, lightly trapping her.
Not forcing.
Just… close.
"You trust me, right?" I asked quietly.
She looked at me.
"Yes."
That word again.
Jay's POV
Why does he keep asking that?
And why do I always say yes so easily?
My heart was racing.
This felt too intense for morning.
"Keifer…" I whispered, "someone might come."
"They won't."
"You don't know that."
"I do."
His voice dropped slightly.
Calm.
Confident.
And way too distracting.
I swallowed.
"This is not fair."
"What isn't?"
"You."
He smiled faintly.
"I'll take that as a compliment."
I rolled my eyes… but didn't push him away.
Mistake.
Big mistake.
Because now—
He leaned in.
Slowly.
Giving me time to stop him.
I didn't.
And when his lips touched mine—
Everything else disappeared again.
Keifer's POV
She didn't hesitate.
That's new.
I kept it gentle at first.
But when she held onto my shirt—
Yeah.
Self-control = gone.
I pulled her slightly closer.
Not too much.
Just enough to feel her presence.
She broke the kiss first, slightly breathless.
"This is exactly what I said wouldn't happen," she whispered.
"And yet," I replied.
She glared weakly. "Shut up."
Jay's POV
I pushed him lightly. "I need to get ready."
"Go ahead."
"Turn around."
"No."
"KEIFER."
He laughed. "Fine."
He turned.
Finally.
I quickly grabbed my clothes and went inside.
My heart?
Still racing.
What is happening to me…
Keifer's POV
I leaned against the wall, smiling slightly.
She's trying to stay in control.
But she's slipping.
And honestly?
So am I.
After some time, the bathroom door opened.
I turned—
And paused.
She stepped out, adjusting her towel slightly.
It slipped just a little when she bent to pick up her rubber band.
Not much.
But enough.
She fixed it quickly, unaware of how my brain just stopped working.
" Careful wifey, I might lost my stability if it went one more inch down" I blurted.
"…What?" she asked.
I shook my head. "Nothing."
Definitely not nothing.
Jay's POV
Why is he looking at me like that again?
Suspicious.
"Stop staring."
"Can't."
"Keifer."
He stepped closer again.
"No," I said quickly, holding my hand up.
He smirked. "Relax."
"I don't trust that tone."
"Good."
I turned away before he could do anything else.
"Let's go before someone actually walks in."
"Yeah," he said… but didn't move for a second.
I could feel his gaze.
And honestly?
I didn't hate it.
Living Room – Morning Chaos Continues
Felix: "FINALLY."
David: "Took you long."
Cin: "Suspicious."
Calix: "Very."
I sat down like nothing happened. "Bathroom was busy."
Felix: "Not that busy."
Keifer sat beside me casually.
Too casually.
Drew smirked. "We know that look."
I glared. "You know nothing."
Mayo whispered, "They know everything."
I kicked him lightly.
Keifer's POV
Yeah.
They know.
But I don't care.
Because right now—
She's sitting next to me.
Trying to act normal.
While holding my hand under the table.
Hidden.
Again.
I squeezed it slightly.
She didn't pull away.
Jay's POV
This is getting dangerous.
Very dangerous.
And the day just started.
