Felix stood on the table like he was about to announce world news.
David didn't even look up. "Get down."
"No," Felix said proudly, "today is IMPORTANT."
Cin clapped dramatically. "Yes, finally. Trip results."
My heart did a tiny flip.
I didn't even realize I was waiting for it this much.
Calix leaned back. "If it's mountains, I'm winning this argument forever."
Felix pointed at him. "Over my dead body. Beach is superior."
Mayo added, " if there will be pool then I am definitely coming"
Drew: "there should be phone"
Eman from the kitchen: "Food will be there. Don't worry."
Denzel, calm as always, looked at all of us. "First, behave like humans."
No one listened.
Keifer's POV
Jay was quieter than usual.
Not silent.
Just… thinking.
I leaned closer. "What are you hoping for?"
She looked at me. "Honestly?"
"Always."
"…I don't care about the place."
"Oh?"
"I just want it to be… good."
I understood what she meant.
No stress.
No past.
No weird interruptions.
Just us.
I nodded. "It will be."
She smiled slightly.

Felix suddenly screamed, "PHONE. CHECK THE SCHOOL GROUP."
Everyone froze.
Phones out in 2 seconds.
David read first.
Then paused.
"…Well?"
Felix grabbed his phone. "WHAT IS IT—"
Calix stood up slowly.
"Ohhh this is good."
Cin: "SAY IT FAST."
My fingers trembled a little as I opened the message.

Jay looked at me.
Eyes slightly wide.

She showed me her phone.
I read.
And smiled.
"Well," I said, "looks like I won."
Felix screamed. "NOOOOOOO—"

Trip Destination: MOUNTAINS.
Felix dropped to the floor. "I'm not coming."
David: "You are."
Cin: "I need new outfits."
Calix smirked like he just conquered the world. "Told you."
Mayo: " is there food in cold?"
Eman: "Yes."
Mayo: "Then I'm coming."
Drew laughed. "Simple man."
I couldn't stop smiling.
Mountains.
Cool air.
Peace.

I glanced at Keifer.
He was already looking at me.
"Happy?" he asked.
I nodded. "…Yeah."
"Good."
Keifer's POV
Felix pointed at me dramatically. "This is your fault."
"How?" I asked.
"You influenced her vote."
I smirked. "Maybe she has good taste."
Jay rolled her eyes. "Don't drag me into this."
Cin suddenly gasped. "WAIT."
Everyone: "What now?"
"Room sharing."
Silence.
Felix sat up instantly. "OH."
David: "That's… important."
Calix: "Very."
Drew: "Interesting."
Jay froze beside me.
I didn't react.

Yeah.

Jay's POV
Room sharing.
Oh god.
Felix grinned like a villain. "Imagine if—"
"Don't," I warned.
"—certain people get paired together."
I stood up. "I'm leaving."
Cin grabbed my arm. "SIT."

Keifer leaned back casually. "Relax. It's just rooms."
"Exactly," I said quickly. "JUST rooms."
Why does this feel like not just rooms.
Keifer's POV
She's overthinking again.
I leaned closer, voice low. "You're panicking."
"I'm not."

"I'm not."
"Okay," I said calmly, "then if we get the same room—"
Her eyes widened instantly.

She stared at me.
"…You're doing this on purpose."
"Maybe."
She kicked my leg.

I hate him.

Felix suddenly shouted, "PACKING TIME."
David: "Trip is in two weeks. Exams are coming what about them."
Kit: "Exams will come and exams will go but trips in section e arrives barely."
Felix: "Preparation is key."
Cin: "Outfits."
Calix: "Essentials."
Drew: "Snacks."
Mayo: "More snacks."
Eman: "I'll handle food planning."
Denzel nodded. "Good."
I laughed.
This is chaos.
But… good chaos.
Keifer's POV
Everyone started planning loudly.
But my focus?
Still her.
She was smiling.
Relaxed.
Happy.
That's rare.
I leaned closer again. "Shopping?"
She looked at me. "For?"
"Trip."
"With all of them?"
"Or just us."
She paused.
"…Both."
I smiled. "Deal."

"Guys," I said suddenly, "we should go together."
Felix: "YES."
David: "Makes sense."
Cin: "Outfits together."
Calix: "Efficient."
Drew: "Fun."
Mayo: "Food court."
Eman: "Approved."
Denzel: "Stay in control."
No one listened again.
Later…
Plans were made.
Lists created.
Arguments started.
Felix somehow added "matching sunglasses" to the list.
David removed it.
Cin added it back.
Calix ignored them.
I sat back, watching everyone.
And for a moment—
Everything felt perfect.
Keifer's POV
Too perfect.
That's what bothered me.
Because things like this don't stay calm for long.
I glanced at my phone.
A message.
Unknown number.
"Enjoy your trip planning."
My expression changed slightly.
I looked up.
Jay was laughing with everyone.
I locked my phone.
Not now.
Jay's POV
I didn't notice it then.
That slight shift in him.
But I would.
Soon.
Felix (dramatically): "THIS TRIP WILL BE LEGENDARY."
Calix: "Or chaotic."
David: "Or both."
I smiled.
