Chapter 8 - MY HERO ACADEMIA: A WHOLE NEW WORLD -8

" Huh?"

Midoriya was angry.

He expected a yes or no.

Mostly a no.

But..... but.... how can she say that to him.

She has a....she has an amazing quirk.

She said her quirk is blood manipulation.

And... And....he doesn't have any quirk.

How can she say that when she has never been in his place?

All heroes have amazing quirks.

One cannot fight the villains without a quirk.

But... but why is she saying that....that he's not suitable for it?

What does she mean by saying body is a weapon?

What does she know?

She has never been quirkless like him.

" No! I- I - I will become a hero! What do you know?! You - you have a quirk! How can you say quirks mean nothing!? It's from the quirks that you get strength! Yo-"

" Then fight me. I won't use my quirk. Prove me wrong. "

She completely turned towards him as the sun started to step down covering the sky in an orange blanket.

" Come at me. I'll prove it. "

Her voice echoed as the wind blew past her .

Midoriya had no words. Her confidence, it drew him towards her.

He doesn't want to believe her.

Quirks are everything.

They are power.

They define what you are.

That's why kacchan is always above him.

He has a strong quirk.

But..... but...if ..... if.....if quirks are not the real power.....can he be a hero?

He's desperate. He wants her to be right. But... but no matter how strong you are..... the ones with quirk are always stronger.

He's weak. Always has been. He knows he can't win against her even if she doesn't use quirk.

He saw the way she easily twisted Kacchan's hand.

" What are you hesitating for? Aren't you the one who asked if you want to be a hero? I can prove you wrong right now. But the thing is..... you're not ready to accept it, are you?

All this time, you've made excuses for your weakness in the name of quirklessness.

But when you've been given an opportunity to show your strength, you're hesitating.

Grow out of your victim mindset first. Then you can think about being a hero or whatever. "

She says before leaving him alone infront of the school gate.

'Idiot. I never liked him in the show either. He may be a kid but always crying about what he's lacking instead of focusing on what he has is straight up annoying. He has a healthy body and a loving family. If he wants to be a hero so bad, he could've went to martial arts classes to build technique, body and discipline. All talk and no bite. How the hell do people even like him. Even later in the show, he's always charging farward in the dumbest possible ways and getting glorified for it. That tintin lookalike is way more suitable for that one for all thing than this boy would ever be. And why the hell is he asking for others opinions when he wants something. If you want it, take it. Don't ask for validation or permission.'

She went home still annoyed at him. At this point, she completely gave up on any therapy she might give to the boy out of pure frustration alone. It's not her job.

Akira remembers her mother. Everytime she used to make excuses, her mother used to knock some sense into her.

She remembers her dad. The man who always pushed her to be her best version.

She never had to worry about falling. They're always there to catch her.

Everytime. Each and every time. They're the reason she's who she is.

And....she is starting to miss them.

God she misses them. She wants to go back to her life. Her parents loved her from the bottom of their hearts.

She can still remember how she dented her dad's new car in an accident and her first thought was to call her dad.

It wasn't until her friend who was with her at that time said that she's scared as hell that Tara's dad might kill her for that accident did she realise that her parents were never mad at her mistakes. Infact, her dad came rushing to her to check if she's ok.

That night, she slept with her parents. They didn't let her sleep alone for a whole week until she started complaining.

She wants them back. She wants to go back home. To mom. To dad.

She wants to be back in her house complaining in the kitchen asking mom and dad to stop flirting and getting pulled into hugs and tickles.

She wants to see her parents fighting and arguing on whom she loves the most.

She misses her stupid parents who are hopelessly down for eachother .

What would ma have done if she's here?

A laugh escaped her lips. She would've pranked everyone with the blood lol.

She loves messing with people.

Infact, it's her Mom who taught her how to spot manipulation and how to manipulate people back as a sidequest. And dad who always taught that brain and brawl are equally important, that even if you are the best scientist in the world, you should know basic self defence.

And her ma once yeeted a German Shepherd into the next Street when she heard young Tara crying while being chased by the dog shouting " Stay away from my daughter!".

She remembers how her mother didn't let go of her at all for the next two hours continuously kissing her head while holding tightly. She doesn't remember what happened after that. She fell asleep.

Without realising it, Akira got lost in thoughts and in her way and ended up near a river bank where she finally broke down and started crying.

Back in her head, she's still hoping her parents would come running to her hearing her cries.
