Fifteen minutes later, they returned to the blue sedan, as Lucia drove through the Azure Cleave Dojo.
Since they only have fifteen minutes left before they arrive at the Azure Cleave Dojo, Krisha took the initiative to ask Felix, "So, what were you doing in Doctor Eleanor's office?"
Felix was taken aback. He glanced at her with widened eyes.
"W-What do you mean by that? Clearly, we just talked about the cure to Mia's disease."
"What?!" Krisha was utterly shocked.
Even Lucia, who was driving, almost lost control of the steering wheel when she heard what Felix had just said.
Obviously, she was aware of the disease that Felix's younger sister had contacted. A disease that even the National Beast Medicine Council failed to produce a cure.
Krisha informed her about it. Hence, it was natural she was as shocked as Krisha when they heard that Felix boldly claimed about talking with Doctor Eleanor about the cure.
Felix was a bit surprised by how he easily revealed how the conversation with Doctor Eleanor went, as well.
He simmered down a bit and said, "The thing is, when I was staring at Mia, I suddenly received information from my head about the cure of the Sleeping Hollow Disease. Call it absurd, but it really did happen.
To confirm it, I requested a private talk with Doctor Eleanor. After all, there's no harm in trying, right?
When we talked, she also thought it was ridiculous at first, but when I explained to her Mia's real condition, she finally decided to hear me and assured me she would try to implement the cure for Mia."
Krisha stared at Felix in disbelief.
She shouted, "Have you gone crazy? Just because you came up with the cure on your head when you barely know a thing about medicine doesn't mean it will really cure Mia. What will happen to her if you fail?"
Felix was unfazed.
"It's not me who will cure Mia, it's Doctor Eleanor. She's the best doctor we have in the city, so she'll definitely know if the cure I came up with is effective or not. She even said she'll write a thesis about my cure comprehensively to give me an assurance that she'd definitely work on it without fail.
So, it's not me who will cure Mia in the end, it will be Doctor Eleanor's effort—I just gave her the direction."
Krisha was stunned. She leaned back on her seat and stared at her window while caressing PengPeng's head to relax herself.
After a while, she said, "As long as you take responsibility for your decision even if it'll be Doctor Eleanor's effort.
Both of you will be doomed by my father's wrath if you fail."
Felix smiled. He stared at her face in a side-view and admired her awestriking beauty.
He thought to himself. Don't worry, the guide herself suggested the cure and it came from an immortal who solved a mortal disease. As long as Doctor Eleanor does her part, it will only be a matter of time before my life finally changes to a better one.
"Stop staring at me. You're creepy."
Felix was taken aback, interrupting his thoughts. He rolled his eyes and focused on the scenery leading to the Azure Cleave Dojo.
…
The Azure Cleave Dojo was built along an elevated canal that feeds the inner commercial district. It does not sit on the main road, but on half a street removed from noise.
The dojo was a two-story stone and wood compound wrapped around a narrow stretch of canal water. The building curves slightly inward, forming a quiet enclosure.
There was a vertical wooden plaque beside the entrance bearing two words: Azure Cleave.
Felix, Krisha, and Lucia were currently standing in front of the entrance gate made out of single wood. There were no guards posted outside but the doors were heavy hardwood reinforced with iron inside.
Lucia turned towards Krisha and bowed slightly, "Young miss, your father instructed me to leave you alone during the two months of your stay here. Please take care of yourself for the next two months."
Krisha's eyes widened. She pouted in dissatisfaction. "Why didn't he tell me about this? Out of the blue? He could have informed me beforehand."
Lucia felt guilty. She explained in a gentle tone, "Your father has been very busy lately. Don't forget that he always had some time to answer your call and assist your needs. He might have forgotten to remind you. It's actually my fault for not reminding you."
Krisha shook her head. "I know my father, he probably had just told you to leave me alone here when we left and you couldn't have the time to remind me since I'm with Felix."
Lucia bowed deeply. "Thank you for understanding, young miss. As for your luggages, it has been inside your room in the dojo, so you can be rest assured."
Krisha nodded and hummed in agreement. She turned towards the entrance gate, walked towards the bell and rang it.
The door opened silently—not a creaking noise echoed. There were two bald men seemingly older than them wearing a plain white martial arts uniform and a wooden sword on their waist pulling the gate on each side.
Krisha glanced at them as she slowly entered inside—Felix followed behind.
Once they had entered, a young man, aged twenty and above, welcomed them with a wide smile. He was also bald but his martial arts uniform was navy blue.
Krisha walked towards him. The young man was quite handsome, his face was flawless, and from the aura he exuded, he must be a Commander rank Beast Tamer—one that had already developed their beast space.
The two bald men, on the other hand, were clearly at the Awakener rank, but their beast pet wasn't with them.
The young man bowed slightly when Krisha arrived in front of him and greeted with a polite tone, "Nice to meet you, Krisha Chambers. I am Isaac Evans. I have been instructed by Master to guide you."
Krisha smiled. "Are you sure that it's me alone? Isn't he interested in my friend behind me?"
Felix, who remained quiet behind Krisha, frowned.
