Krisha was clearly aware how Master Shen and Felix's interaction would affect the latter's personal life in the dojo for the next two months, especially when they didn't hold back at all with Isaac's presence.
A mess, it would be an entire mess—not only for the dojo, but for Felix.
Felix had antagonized himself, and obviously, he was aware of it.
Yet, it was also obvious he was prepared for it. Heck, she would not be surprised that Felix asked for it.
Even then, she couldn't help but be worried. Isaac's behavior against Felix had already confirmed her speculation.
Staring at Felix as they sauntered towards the Residential Wing, she thought. It'll be quite lonely for him, right? I guess I have to accompany him.
"Stop staring at me. You're creepy," remarked Felix with a teasing smile.
Krisha was startled. She rolled her eyes and didn't bother staring at him anymore.
Felix chuckled and knew Krisha would be displeased at him for quite a long time.
But we'll still interact with each other more often now. I'm pretty sure she'll forgive me.
Felix was only daring to tease Krisha until she was exasperated at him simply because he was confident she would forgive him.
After all, Felix had prepared a gift for her.
Felix, at the moment, was now more focused on the attention placed on him.
Most of the disciples who passed by noticed him, but seemed more intrigued when they realized they were being accompanied by Isaac.
Isaac was among the top ten inner disciples—a Commander rank Awakener.
He will graduate next year. By then, he could pursue his dream—to become a soldier of the Chambers City to help drive the beasts away from the city. It was one of the reasons he entered the Azure Cleave Dojo.
One of the classification to earn a higher rank in the army was to graduate from any dojo registered by the government.
If he graduated from the Azure Cleave Dojo, the strongest sword dojo in the city, and a rank 10 and above at that as an inner disciple, he would be qualified for a General position.
Status, prestige, wealth—those were what any Beast Tamer wanted to achieve.
To be accompanied and guided by such an individual would surely pique the disciples' interest.
In a week, they were only allowed to use their phones on Sundays. The last summoning occurred yesterday, which was Monday, so currently, they were still unaware of Felix's face.
However, they also slowly recognized Krisha, and it instantly made sense why Isaac had to be the one to guide them.
But, they were curious about Felix's identity too, causing them to linger their gaze longer on him.
Felix misunderstood their current knowledge of him, but he had a slight idea since their gaze was full of curiosity and wonder than Isaac.
Isaac was informed about Felix's identity by the instructor beforehand—that was why he was displeased at him the moment he welcomed them.
And that instructor was also the director of the Residential Wing.
The Residential Wing was located behind the Still Edge Hall and opposite of the canal side. It was a two-story structure attached to the main complex but slightly set apart from the training grounds.
Even when they entered on the ground floor, Isaac was usually quiet, not even bothering to inform them about the structural layout of the Residential Wing.
He stayed quiet until he brought them to the instructor in the Residential Wing, sitting behind what seemed to be a reception desk.
The instructor wore light indigo training robes and was intently watching a live video on his phone.
From the noise it radiated, endless clamoring, and from his facial expression, Krisha and Felix couldn't help but frown.
Krisha and Felix simultaneously thought. He's watching Apex Live. It's still operating?
Apex Live was a semi-illegal gambling site where an individual bet between the opposing beast tamer who used their beast to fight one another.
They would simply stand and command their beast as they fight against other beasts. They would only stop until a beast was heavily injured.
It was entertainment at first and there was also a tournament with such a type of battle format, but eventually the format changed.
Although the battle format remained in some national tournaments, it was now used as betting entertainment online.
The Apex Live was scorned upon simply because it wouldn't help the beast tamer improve their strength. A beast tamer could not simply rely on his beast to fight for him, he had to fight to survive and not become a burden for his beast.
The Apex Live was also being proposed to ban because of how much beast tamers got addicted to spending their money carelessly and some beast tamer, who had just summoned a battle beast but was afraid to expose themselves to the outside world, would settle in gaining fame through it.
Many already proposed to ban them, but there were positive impacts that made the government face difficulty in banning them completely.
In the end, since the Federation had not proposed a wide-spread ban on them, they were able to continue to operate.
However, they must follow the law billed by the government—an individual below 18 years old should not be aware of its parents. If their parents carelessly showed it to them and the kid spread rumors about the Apex Live, their parents would be apprehended and jailed for two weeks, while their child would be sent to probation until their parents were released.
The government hoped that such a law would terrorize other adult beast tamers to prevent them from engaging with it, but to Krish and Felix's surprise, an instructor from a dojo was carelessly watching it.
His face was even full of happiness, as though the beast pet he betted upon was about to win.
He even appeared to deliberately ignore them, even though Isaac was already standing closer to him—only one desk apart.
After a while, Isaac coughed.
Once failed, but a loud cough on the second time gained the instructor's displeased expression.
He asked in an annoyed tone, "What?"
Isaac said in a polite tone, "Teacher Arlo, I have brought the guests here. It should be your turn now."
Arlo Regan's mouth twitched in dissatisfaction.
