Chapter 34 - Beast Tamer Association

Felix was waiting outside Krisha's door at 7:20 am. His face was lackluster. He tried his best to be patient as he waited for the person who set the time to depart and yet she was already twenty minutes late.

When he texted her he was done and ready to set off at 6:55 am earlier, she made him wait outside her door because she was "I'm about to finish."

And now, as Felix glanced at his watch and realized he had been waiting for twenty-five minutes. He tilted his head upward, closed his eyes, and sighed.

He remained in that position for five extra minutes before the door finally creaked open.

The first words he heard from her was, "Hehe."

Felix opened his eyes and glanced at her. Krisha was beaming a smile at him.

Look at her. How can I get angry at her when she's smiling like that?

Felix shook his head and asked, "So, are we late?"

Krisha nodded. "More than late. But, don't worry."

Felix sighed. "Yeah. We can't do anything about it."

Krisha giggled. "You understand me."

Without hesitation, she walked towards the hallway until they finally left the Residential Wing, moving towards the gate of the Azure Cleave Dojo.

The outer disciples, who were responsible for guarding the gate of the Azure Cleave Dojo, were yawning.

Instead of guarding the gate, they were more tasked in opening and closing the heavy door. It was more of a tedious job—not everyday the door was required to move.

When they saw Felix and Krisha sauntering towards them, they straightened their backs and wore a solemn expression.

They couldn't recognize Krisha and Felix, but the way they were wearing formal attire rather than their uniforms conveyed that they must be a guest or an inner disciple.

Whichever it was, they wouldn't allow them to leave without a proper approval from an instructor or Master Shen himself.

When Felix and Krisha arrived in front of them, the latter, stunning them with her beauty, said, "We are the new inner disciples. We just arrived yesterday."

The outer disciples finally realized why they couldn't recognize them… barely. They seemed to have an idea of Krisha's identity.

The guards responsible for the gate yesterday were other outer disciples. Krisha was confident about it, so she politely and patiently told them despite being pressured of how late they were now.

She said, "We also have just summoned our beast the day after yesterday and we are set to register ourselves as beast tamer today."

The outer disciple, with bulk physique but below than average height, glanced at Felix and said, "Including him? Where's his beast pet?"

Krisha was currently embracing PengPeng and Felix had none, not even a wooden sword. Since the outer disciples had not been enlightened with his circumstances, it would be quite difficult to explain to them.

In the end, Krisha asked, "Is there a way to call Master Shen? It would be better if he would be the one to explain."

The outer disciples were startled. They glanced at each other and the outer disciple with a lean physique finally decided to explain to Krisha.

"You see, Master Shen doesn't like to be disturbed, if you know him, you should have known about this. He seldom used his phone and his servants are usually the ones who take care of his matters."

"Then, asked his servant. Tell them our circumstances and our names."

The outer disciples looked at each other.

One of them ordered the other, "You, go and run to the Canal Pavilion."

The other replied, "No, you run by yourselves."

Krisha felt a headache coming, watching them argue.

She said, "We are in a hurry. You can inform them later. Now, open the gates." Her tone was commanding.

Intimidated by her, the outer disciples gulped and lowered their pride. They didn't hesitate to open the gate and let Krisha and Felix leave.

Lucia was already waiting for them with the blue sedan car. They took the back seat and sat comfortably.

With PengPeng in her embrace, Krisha caressed him while chatting with Felix.

Lucia, who couldn't help but listen, was dumbfounded when she understood what they were talking about.

Miss' sword techniques? She's asking Felix about it, so it means Felix granted her a sword technique? Will it be safe?

After all, Krisha's father sent her to the Azure Cleave Dojo specifically to learn their sword techniques for self-defense. If she learned sword techniques from Felix, wouldn't it be a waste for her to spend the next two months inside the dojo?

However, while she was driving them to the Beast Tamer Association, she slowly realized that it might not be bad at all.

Even if her young miss was learning a different sword technique, as long as she was surrounded with beast tamers who practiced the way of the swords, then she would surely learn about swords.

Furthermore, there was the enigmatic Felix, who kept answering her inquiries that almost instilled enlightenment to her.

Unfortunately, she did not learn any sword techniques. She slowly relied on her beast pet as she learned their skills directly once she stepped into the Commander rank.

Hence, Lucia had her whole consciousness focused on driving to bring her young miss safely to their next destination.

Eventually, they reached the Beast Tamer Association—Chambers City Branch.

Its overall complex structure was designed as a multi-zone institutional compound rather than a single building.

It was divided into six primary sectors: Administrative Tower, Assessment and Ranking Wing, Beast Evolution Department Facility, Training and Simulation Grounds, Enforcement and Containment Sector, and Beast Supply and Rearing Department.

First, they proceeded to the Administrative Tower.

There was already an examiner, waiting for them with a calm and collected smile.

Wearing a white coat and a clipboard, she said, "Welcome, Miss Krisha and Mr. Felix. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Krisha and Felix returned the greetings.

The examiner then gestured to them to follow her.

She led them to a receptionist, where the staff handed pieces of paper each to Krisha and Felix.

They filed up their civil identity confirmation.

Afterwards, the examiner led them to a room where Krisha and PengPeng were tested for an initial energy resonance scan.

A result soon showed up, stating that Krisha had already reached Awakener Rank 1.

When it was Felix's turn, the examiner was frozen.

She asked, "Where is your sword? It's very important in this registration process."
