The darkness slowly disappeared…
And the screens covering the room began revealing the truth.
Robin stood there, his eyes moving quickly across the images:
faces of missing people… secret files… coded operations…
Everything was bigger than he imagined.
"Is all of this… real?" he said quietly.
Sara stood beside him, staring at one of the screens.
"More than it seems…" she replied calmly.
A long silence passed between them.
Then Robin suddenly turned to her:
"Why did you get involved in this?!"
Sara closed her eyes for a moment…
As if she was remembering something from long ago.
"Because I didn't have a choice…"
Robin clenched his fist.
"There is always a choice!"
Sara looked at him directly, for the first time showing emotion in her eyes.
"If you're weak… you don't."
Her words were harsh… but true.
⸻
Suddenly, the door burst open.
The same man Robin met in the alley entered.
"Time's up."
He looked at Robin with a sharp gaze:
"Now you must choose… permanently."
The room became silent.
Even Sara didn't speak.
"Either you join us…" the man said,
"and forget your past…"
He paused… then continued:
"…or—"
He gestured.
The screen changed.
The same person from earlier was shown again…
but this time, a weapon was pointed at their head.
"Everything has a price."
Robin's heart pounded.
He looked at the man… then at the screen… then at Sara.
"And if I refuse?"
A cold smile appeared on the man's face:
"There's no way out."
⸻
Robin took a deep breath…
Then suddenly laughed softly.
Everyone was shocked.
Even Sara.
He raised his head and looked directly at the man:
"I think… you forgot something."
The man frowned:
"What?"
Robin smiled… a different kind of smile.
"I'm not like the people who enter this game… and get scared."
Then suddenly—
He moved fast.
He hit the device he was connected to…
the light flickered for a second.
Chaos.
Shouting.
Robin used the moment, pushed one of the guards, and grabbed a weapon.
"Don't move!" he shouted.
He aimed at the man…
then at the screen.
A shot fired.
The screen shattered.
Silence.
His breathing was fast… but his eyes were steady.
"The game ends here."
⸻
Sara looked at him… shocked.
Then… she smiled.
A small smile… but real this time.
"I knew… you'd do it."
The man laughed quietly.
"You think you've won?"
Robin didn't respond.
But at that moment…
alarms started ringing.
Red lights filled the place.
An automated voice echoed:
"System breach… system breach…"
The man looked around angrily.
"What did you do?!"
Robin said calmly:
"From the moment you took me… I left a trace."
He raised his phone.
"The whole place is being sent to the police."
Sara's eyes widened.
"Robin… this will destroy everything!"
Robin looked at her:
"That's the point."
⸻
Chaos spread.
Guards started running.
Doors opened and slammed shut.
Police sirens were getting closer…
⸻
Robin approached Sara.
"Let's go…"
Sara stayed silent.
Then slowly shook her head.
"No…"
Robin was shocked:
"Why?!"
Sara looked around…
at the place… at the screens… at everything.
"This is my life now."
"No! That's not true!"
She smiled sadly.
"It's too late to go back."
Then she stepped closer… and gently touched his face.
"But you… still have a chance."
⸻
Police sirens were now very close.
"Get down! Police!"
Robin hesitated…
"Sara…"
She smiled:
"Don't follow me."
Then…
She pushed him toward the exit.
⸻
Robin ran out, looking back…
The last thing he saw…
Sara standing in the red light…
calm… as if she had accepted her fate.
⸻
Outside…
Everyone was arrested.
But…
Sara was not found.
Once again.
She had disappeared.
⸻
Robin stood at a distance, staring at the scene.
Police… lights… chaos…
But this time…
it was over.
Or so he thought.
⸻
In an unknown place…
Sara opened her eyes.
A new room.
Deeper.
More dangerous.
A voice behind her said:
"Welcome… to the next phase."
She smiled slowly…
