Chapter 20 - Final Chapter: When Silence Speaks Again

Thirty years passed…

But for Robin, time was nothing more than something moving outside him, not within.

Inside him…

everything had stopped since that day.

The day Sara died.

A City Without a Soul

He lived in a distant city now, a crowded, noisy place full of life…

Yet to him, it was empty.

A small apartment, a window overlooking a sleepless street, and a dim yellow light filling the room every night.

The clock ticked, cars passed, people laughed…

But Robin was not part of any of it.

He was alive…

but not really living.

A Meaningless Life

One morning, like always, he woke up.

He slowly opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling.

The same ceiling.

The same cracks.

The same emptiness.

He stood up, washed his face, and looked into the mirror.

A man in his fifties…

His hair turning gray, his eyes drowning in an old exhaustion.

"Is that really me?"

he whispered.

But he didn't wait for an answer.

Because he already knew.

Memories That Never Fade

Everything reminded him of her.

A cup of coffee…

A song she loved…

Even silence.

Sometimes, he could hear her voice in his head.

"Robin… don't stay like this."

But he never answered.

He no longer knew how.

The Visit That Never Stopped

Despite everything…

one thing never changed.

Every month…

the same journey.

A long train ride, a window, a road stretching endlessly.

He sat alone, staring outside.

But in truth…

he was staring into the past.

The Cemetery

He arrived.

The air was cold.

The trees were silent, the ground damp.

He walked slowly…

until he stood in front of the grave.

Sara

The name he could never forget.

He sat down, placing his hand on the stone.

"I came…"

He smiled faintly.

"Like always."

A Confession After 30 Years

This time… he didn't stay silent.

"You know? I tried to live… I tried to be normal…"

He sighed.

"But I couldn't."

He paused… then continued:

"Every time I see someone… I compare her to you… and I end up laughing."

A tear slowly fell.

"Because no one was ever like you."

Something Strange

The air suddenly changed.

A cold breeze passed around him.

He slowly raised his head…

As if he felt something.

But no one was there.

Only…

silence.

The Beginning of the End

Suddenly…

a sharp pain struck his chest.

He immediately placed his hand over it.

"Mm…"

He tried to breathe slowly.

But the pain didn't fade.

It grew stronger.

The Body's Struggle

His heartbeat became unstable.

Fast… then slow… then fast again.

The world around him began to shake.

"No… not now…"

he whispered weakly.

He tried to stand…

But his legs refused.

The Fall

He dropped to his knees.

His hand still resting on the grave.

His vision began to blur.

Everything faded.

Between Life and Death

And in that moment…

He saw her.

The Impossible Meeting

She stood before him.

Just like she always was.

Young… beautiful… smiling.

"Sara…?"

His voice was barely audible.

She smiled.

"You took too long…"

he said with a faint laugh.

Reality… or Illusion?

He didn't know if she was real…

or just a hallucination.

But… he didn't care.

For the first time in 30 years…

He felt peace.

The Final Touch

She extended her hand.

"Come…"

she said softly.

He looked at her hand…

Then placed his in hers.

The True End

In the real world…

Robin's body slowly collapsed.

His eyes closed.

And his heart…

stopped.

Days Later

They found him there.

Sitting in front of the grave…

As if he were just sleeping.

But the smile on his face…

was different.

The Report

Cause of death:

Sudden cardiac arrest

But the truth?

Far deeper than that.

The New Grave

Next to hers…

A new grave.

Same shape.

Same stone.

One name:

Robin

Strange Nights

The night guard said…

That sometimes…

He hears faint laughter.

Two voices.

One of a man…

and one of a woman.

The Real Ending

Maybe Robin died…

But his story…

didn't end.

Because some love…

is never buried.
